Jo, this resonated with me so deeply!! Sometimes I think about what I will do when I feel like I’m at that spot where I’ve decluttered “enough.” I kind of feel like there will always be stuff to declutter, it just becomes less. I am getting to that point where I have less to manage and have margin in my life and I’m finding the self work is harder than the decluttering process! Thank you so much for sharing this! So valuable! Love you friend!💖💖💖
So much truth here! For anyone just starting a decluttering journey toward minimalism, it's good to understand that it's not a cure all. It will benefit in so many expected and unexpected ways and it can even help you deal with some past trauma when going through sentimental items but of course it's not going to stop life from throwing you curveballs or miraculously heal medical conditions.
Great message Jo. So true. Your message caused me to pause and reflect. My thoughts: Minimalism helps with many things. You will spend less time and energy and thoughts focused on stuff. Opening up space for other thoughts and other ways to spend time and energy. The “stuff” of life can be a distraction from other, deeper thoughts. So… What now? Explore the thoughts. Do some journaling. I also think it’s good to have an interest or passion in some type of hobby you can enjoy. I’m nowhere near being a minimalist. And, I’ve offloaded so much stuff. I realized - I’ve abandoned some hobbies I enjoyed in the past. I’m ready to get more balance in my life. More fun. Today, I’m catching up on videos from my favorite creators.
@grogers511 thank you much ginger! Minimalism does free up the ability for Journaling and deeper thoughts. You can also focus on hobbies that you love or find new hobbies to love.
Thank you for sharing this Jo! I appreciate your thoughts and insight about minimalism and how it can help but is not the answer for everything, at least for me

You are right! There are so many benefits to minimalism but it doesn't fix everything.
Insightful, as always. Thanks, friend! 🤗💕
I'm glad you gleaned insight from it, friend. You are welcome! ❤️

You are welcome sharon. It's okay if minimalism doesn't work for you.
@@minimalzebra It helps a lot… I’m was just saying it doesn’t make my health problems go away but it does make it easier!
@sharoncooper7381 you are right sharon.
