    DJI may have included the charger with the free drone, but what puzzled me the most about purchasing the Fly more bundle was that it did not include a proper charging brick. Yes, you can still charge it with something like a computer or usb phone charger, but those options will take 12-18 hours to charge a single battery. I had to spend and extra $50 to buy a 100 watt charger. Not a big deal, but if someone is already spending $1500, why not charge a few more $$$ and include a proper charging unit or at least make it clear it is needed?

      Agreed 👍

    • @langhamp8912
      @langhamp8912 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I wouldn't want a proper charging block, not for a drone battery nor just about any smaller battery, because nothing kills batteries faster than high amperage and, hence, high heat. I made that mistake when buying fast chargers for my personal electric vehicles. I used to pop chargers all the time; after buying chargers that are just barely above a trickle charger, and the chargers and batteries being cool to the touch, I never popped another charger again. 20-40 watts for any battery sounds perfect.

      @johnrambo1349 ปีที่แล้ว

      @olewiseone1079 do you have your part 107? If you do, it clearly stated you must fly within vlos. Once remote ID goes into effect, the FAA can track your drones, know your pilot location, know your home point, know your drone location, know your flight routes you taken, know you phone number, know your email, know you drone serial number, know you home address, know your name. So yeah good luck flying beyond vlos. Lol.

    So about 33 minutes flight time and that would be pushing it to the limit. Which is pretty good for the size and weight of the drone. On a range test flying out at 27 mph for roughly about 15 minutes and that would probably be a nail biter flight like a few of your others. DJI specks say 32 kilometers video transmission. If that’s accurate that’s 3 times as much as the air 2 or air 2s that’s something I would have to see. Great review as always. The voice changed after an update to the DJI fly app then people in the UK were having issues with the drone not having the option to go up 500 meters so DJI did another app update to correct it. But now the voice sounds supposedly more human.

    Dustin, you've been flying and reviewing drones and DJI drones for years and you still haven't figured out how Spotlight works. I've said this before you to and I'll say it again in the hope that you finally hear this: It's NOT a stationary tripod. Spotlight is arguably the most useful focus track mode for filming. You can still move the drone around as normal but the camera will still point at the subject. Please try it out and discover what this mode can do and then make a video educating the rest of the community, because many people still don't understand Spotlight mode.

    • @DustinDunnill
      @DustinDunnill  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Not sure why I forgot to show you can move it. Yes I've shown it in prior DJI reviews. Maybe it's because I was trying to touch on so much I forgot 🍻

    New to drones..question..other videos mentioned something about "downloading" the mapped out "area" where you are most likely be flying around?..so you have to do this every time you want to fly?.I thought its like a GPS on cars..where it's active as you "go/fly"..the maps adjust and is already there for you on the go?
    kinds sucks nobody goes into more in depth in explaining this part..and actually showing the process of it all...guess everyone assumes people should know this already..haha ..appreciate some feedback..thank you

    • @DustinDunnill
      @DustinDunnill  ปีที่แล้ว

      You need a data connection to get the maps to download whether it's in real-time or pre downloaded.
      For controller with screen, either boot up at home or wherever you have WiFi data and pan/zoom the entire area(s) you will be flying later where there will be no WiFi data connection. The controller will cache the area in memory.
      You can also connect via WiFi hotspot if your phone has that ability and can deliver data at flight location for real time maps as you fly.
      Another option is getting the AIr 3 with regular (non screen) controller which you mount your phone or tablet that already has a mobile data connection and will stream maps in real time as you fly 🍻

The gimbal stays in place and my videos are perfect. When I do this with the Air 3, the gimbal pitches up on its own after I make my adjustment. This is not good because all of my videos have a gimbal adjustment back downward to my desired position at the beginning. Is there a setting somewhere in the menus to keep the gimbal in position when I hit GO? I need the gimbal to perform like the Air 2 and Pro 2 when I hit GO. Thanks for your help and have a good day.

    There is no way it gets 46 minutes on a battery. It seems to be getting max of 32 minutes real use flight time. Definitely not looking like too much of an upgrade from my two Air 2S drones and my Autel Lite Plus drone which gets a good 40 minutes real use flight time. I know you keep saying the Air 3 should be able to reach 40 minutes flight time but I don’t think it can with real use and without canceling return to home with safe battery use. I believe the Autel Lite Plus is the better choice also with camera sharpness.

      "Better" is subjective. Bith Original Dobo and Quickass Tutorials did side by sides..the stacked frontside lighting dusl native ISO sensor, superior lens, HUGELY better low light performance and color science give the new cameras an order of magnitude improvement on Air 2S. Noise Control, sharpness and a lens with less chromatic aberration are many levels of improvement. Size is only one parameter of a sensor and.. all things being equal, it would win the day. But all things are not equal. Nit even close. Also AIR 2S only offers digital zoom. As I'm cropping IN on the sensor (using only a small potion of it) Air 3 has a NATIVE 3X zoom. (3 TIMES MORE zoom) Digitally it does 9X.

      Priorities I guess. All my time & money was spent in a home and moving so couldn't afford everything. I'll see if DJI can send demos 🍻

    At minute 59, in your video, you are saying that you still have 20 left (for flying). The RC is showing 20% and 7 minutes. That's why you got "bettery low" so soon.

      Sorry I miss-spoke. I was thinking 20% but said 20 minutes 🍻

    Can you set a weypoint mission off line and then save and go fly when your ready as you could with the mavic 2 series?

      Yes, I put some annotation up on screen when I was testing the waypoints in this video 🍻

    Mavic 3 Pro is 82 dB. It's only 1 dB quieter? That's less quieter than I expected. Ahh well..the pitch seems low anyway. I also don't know what they were saying about "smart features while tracking" - I see nothing new so far.

    • @DustinDunnill
      @DustinDunnill  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I noticed some subtle improvements like bypass & object de centering while orbit tracking. Hopefully more with updates

    Please Review The new battery charging hub supports an innovative power transfer function. Simply press and hold the function button to transfer the remaining power from multiple batteries to the battery with the highest remaining power, [6] giving you a more fully charged battery in situations where charging options are limited.
