the physics where changed for the base game too, buying the DLC will allow you to leave the atmosphere but you don't need the DLC for these physics changes to apply. They already are
@@sirrkilleryea they made cool stuff but said "cool stuff" has currently ruined the entire game. for a while most ships wouldnt float, nuclear reactors drain all their coolant in a nanosecond, steam physics are ruined... and all in a mandatory update.

Jet engines don’t work above 100m, large ships are unstable and drop to the bottom of the ocean like rocks, steam engine setups don’t work at all, the new pressurization mechanics are completely broken, 90% of creations on the workshop or that I’ve made no longer work at best or completely explode at worst despite being fine before the update. The game is completely broken beyond playability, that is an objective, indisputable fact

they ruined the game i was a big fan for awhile and now they fucked it test ur update before u drop it cause ur about to lose alot of poeple that play this game..... every time i spawn my ship in it sinks

If you really wanna go to the moon there is a moon tab on the map menu you can use it like a normal map and teleport to places
