Ness and Lucas are both pretty technical (Lucas being the more technical one) and aren’t as spamy as you think

How about the cartwheeling fat penguin? Down tilt after opponent blocks my fsmash catches a lot of people by surprise due to the speed it comes out at and its knockback at mid/high percents.

Brent, my dude, if you want to actually pull off the "JUMP" Dk meme strat, you're gonna want to cargo them and walk off-and-slightly-below the stage -as if you were going to stage spike them. Then, walk forward for as long as you feel like you can recover, Down throw, and wait for their jump.
They'll be too busy trying to tech the ledge to realise you are doing the opposite, and will panic jump offstage after the downthrow.Do NOT jump and throw: That gives them no pressure to WANT to jump! Keep in mind that some characters have privileged recoveries and can wait to jump sometimes, regardless of how low you go👌 hope it helps.
Also, for a bug brain gamble, try doing extra low and foot-stooling them to recover to run salt in the wound.

@Potato cat Sometimes on DK I use the side b on them twice, and a third time in the air if I’m feeling really stylish. They know I’m reading them like a book so the fourth side b in a row usually destroys their morale and a fifth one sends them into the shadow zone.

Lucas mains tend to be more sick than Ness mains.
They have more combos instead of spam and trades, but Ness is capable of combos and other jank in some cases. It’s just a matter of labbing him.

For those that dont know, Lucas' Up smash does have armor, but only in the upper part of his body and towards the end of the start up iirc. So if you wanna punish, grab him or go for low hitting moves
Actually, it's not armour. There's a difference between armour and intangibility frames. Armour is when you don't flinch at all, but you still take some amount of damage. Also, you can still be grabbed. With intangibility frames, however, you still don't flinch, but you don't take any damage at all and grabbing doesn't work. Due to Headbutt's high endlag in the scenario, he was doomed no doubt.

When you willingly rematch a Ness and Lucas you know they must have really earned it.
I just want to let you know that the "Need for Madness" track took me all the way back to my teens. Thank you for the nostalgia.
Hey Brent! I've got somethings to say:
1. Absolutely everyone hates to play against Ness and Lucas.
2. The Donkey Kong "Jump" Trick didn't work, because you already jumped. That gave the opponent enough high, to just not jump. If you want to get it, then you have to just walk of the platform. That should've work for 80%.
I remember getting destroyed by a Terry with his stupid Jab Jab Power Dunks and his misinput Side B after hitting my shield with a DAir. I feel like a Smash tech is iconic if Sakurai showcases it. Anyways, I beat him. All it took was some good attacks and the assistance of the "JUMP!" gods.
Anyways, PK Fire spammers don't bother me because I'm a good SDIer.

@@buddyluigi4902 I forgot what it stands for but it's a Smash technique that involves pressing the stick in a specific direction to escape combos and survive powerful attacks.

When making Kirby down b: hmmmmm yes it seems to be going down and other moves that stall and fall tend to spike at least at the beginning of the move but we can’t to that because it would look like Kirby bias
When making dk: give him your average dair spike, then give him a Forward Aerial, and then since the headbutt bonks them into the ground make that one spike too, and why the hell not make the down b spike in the air

Lucas main here, Lucas U-smash DOES indeed have some invincibility frames at about when he releases the first hit of U-smash that comboes into the second hit

It's like Mario anything but forward air. DK's only spam the moves that spike offstage, so the times nair would be optimal, they instead go for the really bad down air and get footstooled.

For the record, Lucas's up smash does have s on startup. It's not a ton but it can be absolutely lethal if timed properly.

It one of his least useful spiking tools, only spiking at around 110% - 120% or so compared to his other superior spiking tools like Forward Aerial, Downward Aerial and Downward Special

DK is easily one of the most fun characters simply cuz everything that shouldn’t work WORKS
As a Donkey Kong player, you see a player, you do two dash attacks and a forward air spike.
As a PAC-main, you see a player, you do four forward airs and a side-b if needed. Same energy.
