I actually think its a good policy. Like being able to do a shop without someone accidentally filming me makes me happy haha. Someone once filmed me in the background of their vlog on my way home and it was along a canal so I was unavoidably in it for at least 15mins and couldn’t get past. It was like a no way out in any direction nothing to do but keep going..It was really stressful.. another recently when I just started using my walking stick and was wobbly and embarrassed and going around them another route required too much walking and I was desperate to sit in the car and couldn’t wait for them to finish. I was so anxious I tripped over my dog and they had it on camera 😭😭I asked them to delete it but who knows.
I love the grocery hauls! Pls don't let your filming experience from TESCO discourage you from filming in other stores. I look forward to your next videos. Have a great week Rhi!
Hi Rhi, I shop at lots of different supermarkets, Sainsbury's, Asda, Morrisons, Tesco, Aldi, Lydel. I have witnessed lots of people filming their hauls. It doesn't offend me in the slightest and plus it always makes me smile. I love to go on utube and see shopping blogs, in the shops, as it's a great opportunity to see the offers and also like to see the vlogs at the end. Maybe speak to Tesco head office regarding being informed , that you was told not to film, your shop. I believe you will find that Tesco head office doesn't mind you filming in store and maybe it was the shop assistant that had more of a problem with this . Love watching your shopping trips, hauls and meal plans. Love watching channel, especially your organizaing tips, cleaning and shopping. Thank you for all you do xx
Aww I love these food hauls Rhi, so glad you brought them back! Try another supermarket lovely, they may be ok? Oh I loved your meals of the week as well! 😘😘😘
Hey rhi, I don’t really care about the shop with me part I actually forward that part I like the hauls at the end, shame she threw you off, since having kids I hate shopping in store feel like it’s such a waste of time I do my shop on my app on my phone, somethings as I go along sometimes in the bath sometimes when I’m having a wee I add things on! The convince I love it! Take care X
Hi Rhi, Great video, I've been really looking forward to this series. I love doing my weekly shop in store and I use the hand held scanners to help me keep an eye on my budget and stop me going crazy with all the temptations. Don't let Tesco put you off filming in other stores, I've seen videos of other You Tubers filming in supermarkets. If don't want to film in store I think it's would still be a great series to see your hauls from different supermarkets and you comparing how you would have shopped if you had done it online. I'd also love to see shopping hauls from Aldi and Lidl and maybe some taste testing videos to see if you and your family can tell the difference between branded and non branded food?
Love a haul and meal plan.Happy just to see those.I always do my food shop online..usually sainsburys and Iceland top ups,I hate shopping in supermarkets.😀😃
I love your hauls.. love your meal ideas and seeing how u accommodate one meal to suit all. Do what’s most cost effective for you… because we all know the cost of everything is going up for everyone 🙈
That was strange them telling you not to film in Tesco. Though i have seen other vlogers not being able to film in other shops. I shop in Tesco all the time and know most of the staff and i might ask what their policy is. Great haul anyway. The only place i've done online shopping has been Iceland and that's only a few times. I'd rather go in a shop. xx
The Chicago Town pizza is quite good, stuffed crust is good too. These were quite similar to the ones I remember in Disney resort. Bit expensive for frozen pizza but we love them
I like to get a lot of it delivered (especially bulky/heavy stuff) but prefer getting fresh stuff (especially milk and bread) myself to make sure of dates.
Hauls are good , maybe with photos of the items in the shops so you can show what else is available in the store that maybe you aren’t purchasing (like when you were in home bargains and was showing the Easter items!) but without getting people in the video. I was once told off for filming my own kid on a slide in soft play at an attraction. 🤷♀️ Well I was only adult in there and there was maybe 2 other kids playing and the manager came in and walked around and came over and said “we’ve had a report of someone filming all the children in here have you seen anything!” At first I didn’t assume he was meaning me filming my own child on my phone but after I thought about it I thought maybe but then I saw the lady who was with the other children and heard her say she’s still doing it when I took a photo. Love I’m allowed to take photos of my own child having fun chill out!
I would love a series showing the 'shop with me' and haul portion if you're allowed by management/ head office to film inside. Especially the supermarkets that don't do Online shopping like Lidl and Aldi. I'm from Northern Ireland and we don't have Aldi, Morrisons or Waitrose (not sure Ocado operates over here either) over here so I'm curious as to what they're like. If you're able to film inside the other supermarkets would it be at all possible to point out 'local' foods that your subscribers outside of Wales may not know. I've noticed that when you browse supermarket websites they tend to not have regional breads/ brands etc, so if you're after that you have to go to a physical store. Several of my main 'safe foods' are 'Northern Irish/ Irish foods so it would make obtaining a weekly shop online very difficult for me. During lockdown 1 my Aunt and Uncle had to shield (MS, and a former pituitary gland tumour respectively have left both with zero immune system) and found when they tried to order shopping online they couldn't get local foods like wheaten bread, (a kind of 'soda bread' (a bread where baking soda is used instead of yeast) made with wholemeal flour and sweeter than white 'soda bread') soda farls (soda bread shaped into a flattened round, quartered ('farl' comes from archaic Scots for 'quarter') and fried in a frying pan or griddle, it or a variant made using potato is a vital component in an Ulster fry, you can also get sweet 'treacle farls'), vegetable rolls (another component of an Ulster Fry, consisting of a kind of beef sausage heavily seasoned and with vegetables through it), veda (a kind of malt loaf that is often eaten toasted. I used to make my sandwiches using veda when I was in school) and fruit loaf (a sweet loaf with dried fruit, glace cherries, candied ginger etc through it, my late Nanny used to live on it or 'Barmbrack' (Irish: 'bairín breac'- basically the same thing as Fruit Loaf but in a flattened round loaf format) when her Alzhiemer's resulted in her only wanting to eat sweet foods). Resulting in my Aunt sending her adult son (who was living with his dad, her ex) to the supermarket instead, and him phoning her from the dairy isle because he didn't know what 'buttermilk' was 🤣🤣🤣. I'm curious to see what foods are available in Welsh supermarkets that a non-Welsh subscriber maybe wouldn't recognise.
Hi Rhi, I do enjoy your grocery hauls. As for the camera it may have been the big set up but some stores have bodycams now in case of problems/violence and they have to announce/inform the customer that they are recording so I guess maybe it's the same rule for customers 🤷♀️
I was approached in Boots the chemist and asked to stop filming and was told I would need permission to film from head office, this was a few years ago though.
Yes, I would love to see the different grocery stores you like and have near you in Wales. I don't know exactly why, but Americans don't put "root" on the end of vegetable names like that. Are the beetroot pickled in the UK or not? They're very often pickled in the US when you don't buy them raw and whole from the vegetable section of a grocery store. Those rainbow cones look just like a brightly colored Cornetto. I wish the US had real Cornettos. We get a very similar product, from 2 different brands, in appearance, but I don't know if it would taste the same. The maker of the Twister in the US doesn't sell them here. I'd love to try one. It's one of those "Same brand logo appearance with a different name" situations with the Twister. I emailed Del Monte today after seeing the Smoothie bars in your video because I have never seen a Del Monte product in the US that wasn't a fruit cup type thing or canned vegetable before in a US store.
I was wondering, and I’m not trying to sound rude so excuse me if it is, do you ever throw in a meal you guys have never tried before? Or would that cause an upset with the children? Just wondering because I do that at times just throw in a recipe we’ve all never had before sometimes it’s amazing and we find a new staple recipe other times we’re like eh that s was alright but wouldn’t have it again.
Hey Rhi, hope you’re well. I’m happy, good and well thank you good evening love this Tesco groceries haul video. So happy I enjoyed this Tesco groceries haul. I love to see your groceries hauls from different shops. I love your groceries hauls too. I love bananas and fruits! I absolutely loved those raspberry and mango smoothie ice creams as well. I tried the chocolate and pistachio macaroons before and they were so nice. I love bagels. Ah I liked the original hula hoops crisps. Also I love the Cadbury milk chocolate fingers. Can I also have a reply from you telling me what’s the name of the new video which is coming next week on Thursday evening at 7pm from you? Can we see more what I eat in a day groceries hauls day in the life morning and evening night routines cleaning motivation clean with me extreme house clean with me all day clean with me cleaning routines clothing hauls homeware hauls Poundland b and m tkmaxx home sense home bargains the range wilko hauls come shop with me autumn summer spring winter Easter home mum organisation hacks, DIYs and ideas amazon best buys monthly favourites family dinners ideas plus Disney videos coming from you soon. Someone should do something about how Americans can't always get Indian food and British people can't get good Mexican food. They would make a fortune if they could somehow easily facilitate that between the two nations. With the US being so big, a lot of the rural areas like where I live, where there are literally more cows and other livestock than people, you can't get groceries delivered, but since the start of the pandemic, a lot more people have resorted to ordering them online and picking them up curbside now. It's actually one of the only more affordable ways to do grocery shopping in the US than it used to be years ago when it was a new thing. I don't think it was available at all outside major cities to get them delivered until I was already in my 20s or early 30s.
Bread is very different in the US, unless you're talking about artisan bread baked in a specialty bakery. A lot of Americans traditionally don't eat anything but the worst doughy squishy white bread because, for a long time, that's all you were able to get if you didn't have money. I grew up eating what the US calls "whole wheat" bread as "whole grain" didn't exist back then in the US as a packaged bread option, really, but the whole wheat was only really for a Sunday lunch or dinner. The rest of the time it was the white bread that everyone outside North America compares to cake, when I see it talked about. These days, there are more options, but food in the US tends, for anyone reading this who doesn't know, to be more expensive in the US, unless it's junk food, than in most other first world nations when compared to how much money people have to spend in general. It just boggles my mind when I see a medication that has a store name on it instead of a brand name or patented name. Ibuprofen seems to be the only common name in English speaking nations for medications. They're not really restricted in the US unless they can be used to make methamphetamines.
I think it’s a good policy not to film as imagine you filmed accidentally a child in need or in danger. And they don’t know as a store if you share your location.
I DONT SEE WHY TESCOES HAD TO BE SO RUDE THEY COULD HAVE MADE YOU FILM . DONT LET IT DISCOURAGE YOU PLEASE CONTINUE TO DO DIFFERENT SHOPS IF YOU CAN . HAVE MISSED YOUR GROCERY HALLS 😥👍
Apparently Tesco’s is private property & they can stop people filming it’s all to do with filming customers & privacy & also data protection unfortunately,
I worked for Tesco customer service in a store and had never heard of not being able to film. Perhaps they’ve had customers complain about people filming previously? Edit to say: Don’t let it bother you. ❤️

the haul and meal plan are what i like best Rhi.. so dont feel pressured to go round the shop filming if they make you feel pressured in any way.
I love the grocery hauls! Pls don't let your filming experience from TESCO discourage you from filming in other stores. I look forward to your next videos. Have a great week Rhi!
Yay! it's so good to have the food hauls back. I do agree with you that in person shopping you end up picking a few more things than you intended.

I would love shop with me but online! Especially as some shops have automatic lists etc. you could compare the different convenience functions x
Lovely haul x
yes for series
Love a grocery haul Rhi! Yes know exactly what you mean by a "baggy easy peeler"😂. I prefer wholemeal bread too! xxx

Hi Rhi, it must just be that Tesco’s as I’ve seen other you tubers film in Tesco. Still loved the video.

Net of oranges. Can't believe tesco stopped u filming makes u wonder what they r hiding lol
Zara don’t allow you to film either, so I found out too lol 😂
I love 💘 white bread 🍞 my sister loves 💘 brown bread 🍞 😊
Do you only go though one 4 Pinter a week! I got through 6 of them a week with my 4 kids 🤣
We are a 50/50 family but I buy a nimble loaf for me.
I like the original flavour of hola hoops
