I am a shamanic pampamesayoq. My wife is native Filipina practicing shamanism alongside me. I have commented to her that indigenous, pre-colonial Filipinos have the same beliefs as other shamanic practitioners. Thank you for validating this point. We receive your medicine tonight as we prepare to hold space for Native Peoples during the traditional week of Thanksgiving. Please continue to share about indigenous history, traditions, cooking methods, living, customs, anything and everything indigenous. 🙏💚🌹

Thank you for posting this! I’ve been reading the book “Babaylan” and have always been into precolonial Philippines. I want to practice the spiritual beliefs my ancestors did, not the colonizers religion. You got a new subscriber! Looking forward to more videos from you 🇵🇭

I appreciate you sharing this. I have driven to my spiritual roots of mesoamerica side of me. And these past months I have been getting the nudges to explore my filipino roots from my mom's side. I will be looking into your TH-cam. For the past few years I have dived into shamanic work. I deeply appreciate your knowledge.

Hi Noel! I’m very interested in your topic. Trying to retrace my ancestral history and culture, and as you mentioned, there is so much missing information than misinformation.
Thank you for sharing. I really appreciate your effort on this. Salamat!! 🙏🏼

Thank you for this! I am half Filipino(mom) half American(dad) and I have been really wanting to learn more about Philippine history and religion. Like you said, I had previously asked my mom but her response was more Spanish, colonization stuff.
I have always been drawn to pagan ideas and kinda knew the Philippines had something similar to Norse pagan beliefs. It’s cool to learn about aminism and I feel like it resonates. Though my Lola died before I could know her I have always felt a connection with her. My mom told me stories of these spirits you talk about too. Yet she didn’t know about these beliefs.
It’s sad that through colonization we have lost some of our history but I’m so interested in finding out how we can regain it and bring it back. Hope you make more of these videos!! Subscribing so I can be notified.
    Blessed be!

Trust me that you don't want to be like the pre-colonial Filipinos.

Hello Noah, thank you so much for covering our indigenous spiritual beliefs. Please continue to share what you know about our spirituality and culture because many of us are waking up and need guidance.
By the way, another Filipino/Tagalog homonym is sikat. It can mean famous or light. For example: "sikat siya", means he or she is famous; vs., "sikat ng araw", means light of the sun or sunlight.
Mabuhay ka. Dalangin ko'ng pagpalain ka ni Bathala at tuloy tuloy kang gabayan ng ating mga ninuno. 🙏🏾

Hi Noah: I'm sorry about three comments back-to-back. But I was commenting as I was listening to your video for the first round, then at the end of the video I heard your call to followers to share about what particularly interests them. I relistend to your video a few more times for my own knowledge and also to respond. Here are some things that uniquely interest me and resonate w/me:
    - I am interested in the Indigenous Filipino beliefs, specifically the spirit world, and the concept of this two part, twin part, to the physical. I'm very pulled into and have been to the spirit world.
-Around this, I am interested in the beliefs of your spirit or soul leaving your body when you are sleeping to be able to enter the spirit world and visit other spirits and bodies. I truly believe this from personal experience and I want to understand it more.
-I like the idea of relationship to the past, remembering, memory, and respect, including respecting the past and wishes of those alive or present today.
    Thank you

My dad was born 1910 and joined the USN 1929, so I grew up in CA. I'm also part Indigenous and would ask him about beliefs back home. His reply - "we were wild". But late at night after everyone was asleep he mentioned that when planting a field that a chicken was cooked and placed in the middle of the field. I was wondering if you ever heard this before? - I appreciate your exploration and sharing of this topic.

thank you . Fascinating. Makes me want to search out what is common between different ancient religions. I would love more examples of actual religious ideas. Descriptions of how these would work into the life of people.

You may consider doing research in the cordillera as there are still tribes trying to preserve their past beliefs, it may be lost in the future so as you are really interested on those topics, i think the cordillera is one of the places that maybe you can do some in dept research.

I saw a movie today in a filmfestival it was called in my mothers skin and it made me curious about spirituality and history of the philippines and its how i wound up looking your video. Also i watched a short informational video on indian tantric practices of the aghori and they kind of had the same feel to it as that movie. Maybe you could speak on it meaning the movie and perhaps diffrent beliefs and backgrounds?
