My auntie used to work on the queens clothes she taught me when bathing sew two lines of biggest stitch and pull together so more even gather then stitch in-between the two lines to the other part of garment then pull out completely the line of stitching showing on the garment . It's so neat and even, and you don't have any folded over gathers.

This is my 3rd time using one of your video tutorials and patterns for a DIY project, and really enjoyed all of them ! Just quick question, for the long band length, when you say 1.25;1.5;2 x (4xpannel width) , is the pannel width the size without seam allowance or with ? I’m running short on fabric and I want to see if it’s worth dividing the long band into three pieces or not 😅

¿Usas el patrón delantero como trasero también?

I wouldn’t attach the sleeve like that. It’s much easier to attach the sleeve flat and the close the side seam and the arm seam all in one go.

I had the same thought when watching it. It’s also a cleaner finish when sewing the sleeve flat +the side seams in one go.

I've personally preferred this method shown recently (and find it easy for beginners to be able to adjust if need be too) but maybe I need to try the suggested way again as it's been a few years :)
I love that with self drafting it's easy to change anything at each step to better suit our preferences! So you could definitely switch to your method instead for this part.
