Man, the LOVE! The love you put in this video. The skill, the effort, the taste. Artists have the seemingly magic ability to make difficult things look easy and also to make ordinary things beautiful. You are an food-artist, man and I'm very happy, that I found your videos.
This video is everything. It was edited so beautifully. You are truly artistic when it comes to editing/making videos. Thank you for sharing. This drink reminds me of a drink we make in Trinidad called Sorrel.
I had shiso juice at a rest stop building while I was hiking the Kumano Kodo trails in Japan. It literally was the best thing ever and I’ve been craving it ever since!
Shiso benefit: good 4 stomach, soothing better sleep, use with ginger when catch a cold, safe to use on skincare :) totally make a glass of this tomorrow
This reminds me very much of Jamaica! A hibiscus Hispanic flower drink. The dark red color and it is also a refreshing drink for summer. I really enjoy your videos. Beautiful, delicious and nutritious.
Thank you! For the video this plants were growing wild at my in laws driway. Now, I know what to do with it. This is delicious! I followed your recipe and it was great!
I made my second batch of red shiso juice today and it was just as awesome as the first batch =) I even made popsicles with it and they are amazing! Thanks again, Ryoya san 💝
Wow, I didn't know you could make a juice or soda out of shiso! I mean, I guess it's not so different from how we make juices and smoothies from different kinds of root vegetables here in America, like with beet or sweet potato. I'm guessing that this drink is supposed to taste something like a lemonade? Either way, I know that my parents would love to try this so I think I might make it for Halloween or Christmas.
What a the leave similar in taste to? I'm Hispanic and we drink Hibiscus pod tea and it tastes similar to cranberry juice. Also what is the name of that bottle in which you use for the water and I've seen you use it for cream? Thank you so much.
There's nothing quite like Shiso. It's tart, slightly bitter, tangy and yet super fresh and vibrant tasting. I think it's my favorite Japanese food, if not my overall favorite food in general.
Citric acid or lemon juice or vinegar is always added to the boiled red Shiso liquid. When you add this acidic liquid to the juice the red gets redder. Also, it is always made in a concentrated form so that when you want to drink it you have to add about 3 to 4 parts of water to one part of the Shiso liquid.
Hello Ryoya, I will travel to Kyushu , Japan the end of this month. How to find a vagan restaurant in japan? Is there any tools/apps or website that provide information about vagan restaurant all around Japan?
Wow I have tons of this in my backyard thank you now I know what to do with it. The green one I put in my chicken burgers and I make tempura out of it I can smell it LOL can I use fresh leaves.nama no ha wo tsukaemasuka? I've heard this is really good for cancer.
比喩性ドクル it's a siphon, and that battery like thingy is a tube of CO2 if i'm not mistaken. he use it to make soda water which he pours to the sisho juice
Where can I get red shiso? I live in ibarakiken Japan, but my grocery stores never seem to have anything but the green shiso which is used for other wonderful foods.
Hello! I wanted to ask a question, why do you always use gram for liquids? 1 gr. is equal to 1 ml for water, but not for other liquids. It is hard for me to measure because I don't have and can't find that mesaurement cups. Thanks :)
In my country we don't have cups and we don't usually weigh with gram since there is no scale in -almost- every home. we use glasses and it's 200 ml. but thanks for advice!
In most cooking instructions, they usually say add 1 cup, or 2 cups of the ingredients, and we usually have measuring cups that actually says 1 cup or 1/2 cup.
Grams is the most precise method of relating between ingredients. Volume eg cups, ml, etc. can vary depending on a lot of factors like temperature, altitude, shipping method, grain size, etc. but grams is the literal measure of amount. But also see how he doesn't use a scale all the time so it really is for you to trial and error ;)

Your videos are saving my life! They calm me down, they make me feel quiet and relaxed. This is what I need in this period of my life, thank you!
+Antonietta Ciardiello (UnoNessunoeCentomila) Same :D!

Glad I'm not the only one that feels this way.
I’m growing Shiso in my garden for rice balls. I can’t wait to try this!
am I the only one here that isn't vegan and still enjoy watching these videos?
You don’t have to be vegan to enjoy this.

LOL Just kidding, thx bro anahid

Aw, this is great! My obachan used to grow shiso in her yard and make this juice, it was heaven! Awesome.

This is the REAL asmr

You are such an amazing cook, and an amazing cinematographer! I love all your videos, and your creations!! I hope you have a great day as well! 😄
Your videos inspire me to be better
This looks really good and is such a pretty colour
Your video are so nice and I love your kitchen
Watching your video is so therapeutic
can u make rose jam pls. or is it possible to make sakura jam?

+Michelle Miyazato my grandmother makes it all the time in japan ! it's a bit more sour and a tiny bit bitter compared to lemonade but it's sooo good

How long I need to boil leaves in water?
When i saw the video the drink remind me to the Chicha,it is a drink from Peru made of Purple Corn.
The sweetener you used isn't named, what is it?

what is the brand of the sparkling water bottle you use? I could not find in your subscription box.
Would you consider hosting a weekend cafe type of thing? You could call it: A Peaceful Cuisine Weekend Cafe.
What is the weather like in Japan? If it decent, normally what comfort soup would you go for?
Interesting recipe
I wish this didn't have music but well done! I love it!!!
Just made the shiso juice after watching this ! It is soooo refreshing! Can you do a green shiso sorbet too? :)
How does it taste like? Never saw it here.

Thank you 🙏💕
the metal like things that you charge with battery (i guess), what's that? what is it use for? i didn't see any change for the water you pour there.
比喩性ドクル it's a siphon, and that battery like thingy is a tube of CO2 if i'm not mistaken. he use it to make soda water which he pours to the sisho juice
wew, just knowing that we actually can make the soda water without have to buy one
thanks
It is used to make whipped cream in most Western countries
+Peaceful Cuisine where do you buy your metal straws from?
Excellence, much thanks!
Which sweetener do you use please?
I'd like to know which sweetener you use as well :-)
Regular water works for me, thanks.
Beautiful ASMR
Hi Ryoya! What brand of cookware do you use? I love your pots and pans.
Where can I get red shiso? I live in ibarakiken Japan, but my grocery stores never seem to have anything but the green shiso which is used for other wonderful foods.
What does is taste like?
It looses the red once boiled! How cool is that?
Also: LOVE your channel!! So enjoyable to watch! Xo much love from Canada!
My thoughts when you took the boiled leaves out were "man those might be good tossed in a little oil and hot sauce like collard greens" 🤣
What was that machine which you used for sparkling water?
what's that thing on 4:24 ?
