I'm fan of Sw@da's song And I have to say it, since nobody had said it yet in comments that this was not polish language. It was podlachian spoken by around 30 000 people in the region of podlasie. As a pole I don't understand almost anything 😅
@@beznazwy1930 That is really good to know! I'm a fan of having more ESC songs in native languages, and getting (learning about) a regionally spoken language is even neater.
Yes, the Polish team picked out really good songs, as far as the eight we can already hear are concerned. It's also a good mixture of genres, and even the songs in genres I don't enjoy all that much are interesting and competently made. I really like Chrust's "Tempo" as a song in its entirety, but your point about taking out all the energy in the middle of the song (although they replace that energy with intriguing mystery) makes sense. I'm not sure if that slow section would do well on the ESC stage, and 45 seconds is a long time in a song that only lasts 2 minutes and 30 seconds. It'll be interesting to see the staging at the Polish national final. Still, "Tempo" is one of my favorites in this set of songs, along with "Lusterka".
really good selection, my faves are 1. Justyna (I think it has a drive of a techno track with an amazing vocal to match, think she can go wild on stage) 2. Sw@da (most modern & still authentic with an underground flair) 3. Dominik 4. Sonia
Honestly, as a Pole, didn't expect such a warm and welcoming reaction! My initial thoughts about whole list wasn't so over-the-moon, but I'm happy we are getting in the right place. And this preselection contains mostly artists that are not very well known in Polish music industry. Still wish it would be more genre diverse, like having a strong rock song but we cannot have everything at the same time I guess :D I hope that TVP will stick to this selection format as it gets at least as good as this year's or better and remain for longer time (which means it will survive possible government changes in future). Sending lots of love
Tom Oehler who wrote The Code also wrote Hold The Light. So you're saying he has a chance of winning esc twice in a row? 🤔 We know that Dominik will close the show may give him advantage. I'm sure he will sing well as he is The Voice winner. His song was also cowritten by TEYA 🇦🇹😊
I think its a winning material song and above it, its the only international hit in the selection and hit, with a hit quality to become huge like Tattoo. Not like Nemo's song, which worked at Eurovision only because there was no competition last year. Commercially it did not work as it should for a winner of the show. This song can do absolutely well. If he can perform
I think you need some context because this year is game changer in Polish national final. This year was 224 songs. Jury (15 people associated to music and tv shows, polish Eurovision fans etc), choose the 25 the best. They they invited this artists to live auditions and choose the best 10. This artists definitely can sing live.
@ brilliant, seems the team changed also or this very much looks not just taken seriously but also the quality work behind! I rly love it and it also feels like a proper work done. No excuses, pure quality!
As for Poland, there is quite a normally selection here. Of course, it seems like a song that I don't really like will win, but instead there are 3 songs that will most likely fly into my playlist, namely "Hold The Light" (I fell in love with this song), "Lusterka" and "Pray"
Dobrý večer z Polska (i když fyzicky z Budapešti)! NGL, I didn't expect you would like our songs so much. I'm a bit more critical, but I still think it's a huge upgrade compared to previous years. 100% televoting is of course a risk, but after several years of various scandals with jurors, I understand that TVP wanted to clear the air. At the moment, Justyna seems to be the biggest favorite. I'm not entirely convinced by this track either, in addition there is supposed to be a solid revamp and the length of the song would be 3 minutes, so I'm afraid that in the end it may be quite messy, but there is an important aspect in favor of Justyna: she is one of the best vocalists in Poland, Always delivers it live (and live performances, with the exception of Ochman, have not been our strong point in recent years when it comes to vocals) and this may be a reason to send her. On February 14, we will see what it will all sound and look like on stage, and who knows, maybe Poland will go the Albanian way and choose a lesser-known folk band over a recognized star? Greetings from the land of samochód to the land of chodidlo (no less funny for us Poles as a word for foot ;) ). Oh, and the last two songs will supposedly be released in a week or two, so don't look for them now.
dzenkujem bardzo for an amazing comment! I am now listenening so many tkmes all the songs from selection as it is rly the highest standard selection. And I am happy for Poland. Imo Justyna would ba good Eurovision choice. Thats it. I would choose someone who can do a great move even internationally and stay not just at Eurovision.
Justyna Steczkowska "Gaja" Sw@da x Nicos "Lusterka" Chrust "Tempo" These are my favorite songs❤️ And my heart breaks because I know that only one of them will be able to go to ESC 💔😢
Ah yes, Justyna Steczkowska is one of the biggest divas here. She is a phenomenal talent. She is kissed by God. Daria had many hits in PL radio and I think also in Russia. She is very good. I think it will be one of them, but I think steczkowska will win quite easily if there is no nonsense happening again with those juries 👍👍👍. Apart from Justyna and Daria, the others are mostly totally unknown !
@@dobkevskidobke7123 it would be a nice choice, depends on conditions, it can be like Georgia last year or even top10. Its its potential. Meaning Justyna
I don't see anything special or unique in Dominik's song. I mean it's solid but not as emotional, memorable and powerful as Duncan's song. It's rather one of those male ballads which peak between 20th to 11th place. Tbh Ochman's song had much more impact on me and it didn't reach top 10.
@@robertzielinski2475 its a top song, if you cannot see it, idk. But this is an international hit, which has life outside of Eurovision. You have in general amazing choices, this one can be the biggest musical achievemt for Poland in the modern history. But thats just it. If it wont win, it wont. People's choice.
@JanBors I'm really glad you like it and I hope my opinion is a minor one. This year audience chooses contender so I'm gonna support a winner no matter what.
Omg!!!❤ thank you so much for such a support!❤ kisses🥰
What else! amazing song! 🥳🙏 keep up!!
thank you for your kind and honest words man! it means a lot!❤️

I was thinking what is it after I listened to it already 10 times minimally

they have chosen amazing songs! like imo no one this year so far has such a strong selection
Justyna is revamping the song with the bridge and few new parts ☺️
cool!

Dominik Dudek🎉🫶
Dominik Dudek is winner of eurovision 2025. This song is imposible
@wiktormeller68 he first needs to win the national selection
Dominik wins Voice of Poland, he can sing live.
Justyna Steczkowska "Gaja"
Sw@da x Nicos "Lusterka"
Chrust "Tempo"
