Oh, and there's a new tank that looks like a rejected design from Arcane, mix of Doom, Mei and Junker Queen. Amazing, isn't? Blizzard is recovering their magic
I think it was just something vastly different from what was offered. Also, to my knowledge, it was one of the first hero shooters brought to console with multi-player. (If I'm wrong, lmk anything prepandemic was a different world)

@@TheBloggingJedi It's crazy because 2016 was not a weak year like 2014 (when Dragon Age Inquisition won "awards" over Tropical Freeze among others), 2016 had INSIDE (arguably top 10 all-time, let alone 2016), Doom, The Witness, Uncharted 4, Stardew Valley, etc... Absolutely insane how a Team Fortress 2 clone won "awards" over these games, it's like giving awards nowadays to Marvel Rivals instead of ReFantazio, regardless if the game is fun or not, there are levels to this shit

Broken characters was always a thing, the difference is how 1.0 Overwatch was so sluggish + the lack of identity. People overhyped this Team Fortress 2 clone way too much, Overwatch only established it's ugly identity when role queue was introduced
