Thanks for the video. I am new to playing rogue and having a good base knowledge of the class was really helpful. People think they want a full level 1-100 loot filter but I think all they want is just guidance on how to create their own. This video has really helped.

I just started playing this game about a week ago and this video gave some great insight on how to make rogue loot filters as it's the only class I'm going to play for now. I also watched your tier list on the skills as I've played enough to have my own thoughts on the majority of skills and that had some good insight into how the skills currently work. Thanks for making these videos.

I always do my own loot filter, but this vid definately will help me to improve and build more advanced filters. Thanks!

from my own experience, everytime you make a new loot filter for each new character, the easier and faster it gets to create one! and basically as you have said, in the end, its just a progression based filter on top of the stuff you want to loot. the hard part for us new players is just we dont know what base type is good or what loot in general is good, or what a side grade be like and how to subsitute and or progress a character. digesting new information takes time and most of us dont have the time. most of us new players just want to blast and dont think about loot filter, but at some point you have to sit down and invest one hour for a good loot filter, its totally worth it! I mean its either that or visually filtering out the screen clutter! what really helped me understanding loot filter is by having a basic loot filter (like what you are showing, I wish you could have done this video way way earlier), then progress with my character and at some point when I only need specific loot, thats like the point where I have to edit the filter, like add and substract types and affixes.

So i just got back into this game. I played about 80 hours a couple years back. I pretty much have zero game knowledge. Right away I noticed there was way too much useless loot showing so I tried to find a loot filter. I'm following your shadow cascade bladedancer guide btw, currently just doing the levelling setup with umbral blades. (love it)
The difficulty I am having is that the filters I've tried either show way too much or nothing at all. I tried playing around in the filter and was immediately overwhelmed. I've only got so much time to play and I want to use it actually playing the game, ya know? Not everyone enjoys being lost and confused and spending hours learning how things work, I actually think thats a pretty small subset of people.
So, anyway, thats why I just want a loot filter that shows useful stuff for my build and why I dont want to spend hours figuring out how to make it on my own. Maybe that says something about me, I dunno. For now I just clicked the loot filter button in the levelling build planner you had setup and I'm going with that. Feels like it might be too strict but we'll see.
ps. I did not find this video or your tone condescending like some others have said, just wanted to share another opinion.

Thanks alot for taking your time. I really appreciate your feedback! Helps alot to hear different standpoints of players. Over the last 4 years i got used to alot of stuff in LE that are obvious for me of course, but its always interesting to hear opinions from new players.

Posting some timestamps here for myself as I forget specifics sometimes. I highly suggest listening to what TriKster has to say about each section so you might learn why to build these loot filters and not need to visit these links as often. Hope they help anyone in need.

I didn't mean to sound disrespectful, I'm really happy with all the feedback I've received for my videos. Maybe the wording in the video was a bit too harsh, as I'm not a native speaker so sometimes it's difficult to convey correctly what I want to say :)
Why am i doing guides? I like to share my knowledge and interact with the community. I just want people to understand that every step I chose in my guides is tailored to my playstyle. And i hope people are actually watching and reading my guides to understand the mechanics i chose and simply adapt it to their playstyle if they dont like a certain decision by me.

For people new to the game or new to a new class a basic loot filter is really nice to get the ball rolling. I am new to playing rogue and the first 10 levels were really frustrating. People want loot filters so that it is easier to start learning the game and ease them into it. People want build guides so they can start to learn the game. You should never give them a full level 1 to 100 loot filter. But, giving them a simple loot filter to start out really helps for a lot of people (myself included).
