wow thanks for uploading this, never got to see this place, always knew about the secret entrance in the Ferrot but couldn't get past the guards on the outside. haha, but now I see that even if I got past and into the level I would have been attacked by that jello cube thing and all the Cuthulu's right away,lol
The aggro range in PoF is incredible... you can aggro mobs, that you cant even see, and they group always. Oh and half of them dispell... afer the fight you have no buffs left, even if you survive :). This Zone is only for Lev 50 (40 Peps), Lev 60 (25 people), Lev 70 (10 people), Lev 80 (group), 85+ can do solo.
@MrVaken yes, the name of the song is "Black Milk" by Massive Attack, an absolutely fantastic trip hop band that makes killer music, I believe they started making music in the 90s. The lady you hear singing is the chick from Portishead. I recommend the album Mezzanine first since it is one of my favorite albums evarrrr.

Plane of Fear before they made it easy...wow, that was hell. We had to set up raids just to rescue other raids that wiped inside the zone. I got carpel tunnel chain mezzing all the mobs that aggroed the raid from all across the zone. It was intense, but some of the greatest gaming I have never played.
Oddly enough I think I only ever went to Fear once. Hate on the other hand, I have nightmares over those corpse runs and bugged zone ins resulting in multiple deaths.
Is there any reason you're not being attacked in this video? I remember I somehow got my guild to do my epic 1.0 wizard hit here(I was barely level 61 or something when the max level was 70) and we were being SWARMED constantly by mobs from every direction. Didn't Dread or one of those have a deathtouch even?
@omgahamsandwich awww man I dont think I can retire from EQ I been playin seince beta back in 1998 to this day thats13 years!,though it saddens me to see all my old EQ friends go on to other Online games (thats suck ass like eq2 wow and so on) and see thier gear they worked so hard on go to waste for bein inactive for soo many years its pretty Heartbreaking,But I hope someday later down the road you might come back home to Norrath because I will welcome you home with open arms and uber Gear.
i have a few questins and comments....... what server u on? i am trying my hardest everytime im on (now in the VoA expansion cap at 95) my hardest to get my 83rogue 85 monk and my 95 ranger AA's hopefully u can group with me in u made 1 on stromm-luclin and wow that place for me used to scare me but now i can demolish the zone with 1 AE lol
PoFear was way harder than classic PoHate... the aggro range of the mobs in Fear is incredible... you aggro them even if you cant see them... and they like to add up ;) And they dispell... The only annoying thing in PoHate was. the pathing, beside that it was not that hard. My guild did often PoHate but very rare PoFear... for a good reason... PoFear raids often became a 4h CR in the end...
+CXSGroupie The original plane of fear, when Cazic Thule (Zone Boss) got chain aggroed, he would insta-death-touch the player, then send the entire Warrior temple (30 warriors and shadowknights?) at your raid. When someone got DT'd the raid would normally camp to chat. The aggro range and the fact that the mobs traded hate lists would cause pure mayhem. Sitting in the Server chat client with 30 folks talking about how we were going to get our corpses back. It could be hours, days for some. Sheesh

dude how the hell you not gettin your ass handed to you and not get rooted by mobs there?! and the biggest question is How in the liven fuck are you not gettin aggro from PoFear??!!,Im just in shock that your in your Mid Capped level 50s and you havent gotten the liven shit Kicked outta there in that zone because back in my Old EQ days the fucking PoFear mobs there have crazy aggro ranges from half zone away!, LOL!
@omgahamsandwich ahhh I see ok well then that answers meh question,well Look me up if you plan to jump server teh server Im on Xegony look up Torvollonis im a level 86 warrior and we can Kick some ass in the new House of Thule zones sweet exp and wicked upgrade armor and weapons for ya,though your gonna need some seriouse Leveling and aaskilling before we get you there because the mobs will eat you alive hell Im at a lousy 5380ac and with my aas and armor still get my ass kicked there.

You can get a free Lev 85 champion... enough to solo nearly all classic stuff.
Clearing PoF at level 50 equaled to screwing an entire cheerleader squad.
