Super Monaco GP é um jogo eletrônico criado em 1989 pela SEGA, inspirado no Grande Prêmio de Mônaco de Fórmula 1. Inicialmente foi desenvolvido para os Arcades. depois o jogo foi estendido para plataformas como: SG-1000, SEGA Mark-III (Master System), Mega Drive (Genesis), Game Gear, Amiga, MSX, Atari ST, Amstrad CPC e ZX Spectrum. Mônaco GP, como era chamado na primeira versão, foi por muito tempo o principal jogo com o tema Formula 1 da SEGA. As primeiras versões eram arcaicas, exibiam o carro sob uma perspectiva superior e possuía uma jogabilidade bem básica, porém razoável para a época. A evolução partiu dos computadores 8 bits com Super Monaco GP. O formato deste jogo se tornou um padrão até a sua última versão, com exceção das versões para Master System e Game Gear. De resto era tudo muito parecido, variando apenas gráficos, sons e jogabilidade. Nessa versão para Mega Drive, a intenção era de promover o console recém lançado. Os primeiros jogos do Mega Drive foram inteiramente desenvolvidos pela SEGA. Super Monaco GP foi um deles. O jogo foi encarado como uma grande novidade no mundo dos games, sendo apontado como o melhor jogo do console na época de seu lançamento.
Esta versão se diferencia das demais (incluindo a de Arcade), por apresentar inovações até então inéditas. Além do modo Super Monaco GP, o jogo possuí os modos World Championship e Training. Além disso Outra característica interessante e inovadora, é o desgaste de equipamento durante as corridas. Caso você se envolvesse em muitos acidentes durante a corrida, ou conduzisse de maneira muito agressiva o veículo, ele apresentava perda de rendimento ou até falhas mecânicas comprometedoras. Nesta ocasião você pode fazer um pit stop para resolver o problema. Cada carro possuí características diferentes, como vantagens ou desvantagens de velocidade, aceleração, estabilidade e durabilidade.
essa é a segunda parte com a segunda temporada do campeonato mundial com a aparição do nosso ilustre amigo G Ceara, inspirado no Ayrton Senna.

This Ceara dude really pushes player to beyond the limits. I wasn't able to overtake him when he challenges me and loosing my place in top team.

Me as well. But I found out it was because I used 7 gears. He is BARELY beatable on automatic or 4 gears. I need to go back and play it. After the 2ns race though.. he's back to regular ability based upon his class. I wonder if you hit him if he'd slow down?...it works during the reg races.

You are not supposed to be able to beat him. You can, with near-flawless drives, but the game expects you to lose the Madonna seat.

It's odd that Firenze or Bestowal don't challenge you during the second season here. Ive never beaten Ceara. I used to get the Zeroforce car and then challenge him in a third season to send him down there as punishment for cheating in those first two races. You can just keep going into a third season if you don't win the championship the second time out. At least I think I did back in 1993 😅

@@darkdardan4795 they could have done so much more with the franchise and a 16 meg cartridge. I think there would have been a third game had Senna not tragically. I wonder what happens second season in the sequel I've never played it right through. Does Senna come flying back at you once you win the championship?
