As a sixers fan who was at the game where Ben Simmons passed up that dunk on Trae, I wouldn’t trade that experience for the world. Being able to go to playoff games of any sport is a privilege so even if the outcome isn’t what I was looking for, I always balance it out with knowing that there are people and fan bases that either haven’t or will never get that chance to go to that stuff in person. In the regular season, sure it’s a waste of money but in the playoffs, go to every game you can afford especially if you live in a city that cares

As someone that lives in NZ and has only gone to two NBA games in my life, I have to HARD disagree with that last take with the lost game of a ticket you bought. My Lakers lost to the Raptors in the 2019-20 season (mind you, we had gone on an insane win streak before AND after that loss) and I STILL loved that game because it was still an experience like none other for me. Not to mention I got to see the mf GOAT play live IN STAPLES CENTER when it was still called Staples Center 🤷♂️ Same can be said for anyone else that doesn’t have easy access to an NBA arena to go to to watch games, they’ll likely cherish those games, win or lose.
