Hopefully Walter's family has learned a hard lesson. KEEP Walter safe behind a secure fence or sit out there and supervise him same as you would a 2-3 y/o.
Fence your YARD!!! And watch your babies! I am so happy these dogs made it back .We need to protect our pets! You don't let a dog loose to sit in a yard unattended !
So happy for Walter and his family...this is why it's so important for families to pull out all stops to find lost pets. A healthy animal at normal weight can only survive just so long without food and water in the best weather...extreme cold and heat shortens that timeframe.
I prayed and prayed for walter to be found, I said God i know you care about the animals to, please bring Walter home, thank you God! I'm so happy his owners got him back safe.
I got the LOVE of my life (Lucy the Pug) after 51 days. I renewed the ad every day on the local channel's website. I cried all the way home, even after parting with the $1300.00 reward. NEVER give up!!
My dog ran across the easement road to the neighboring property to visit the neighbor's dog, who was in the fenced backyard. It was terrifying the first 60 seconds I couldn't find him. I take him on a leash when he goes outside ever since, even if he's just getting in my vehicle to go to the store. I never want to lose him! I hope this family is also being more careful with Walter!
So glad they got their dogs home! 😊 Please, please make sure your pups are fenced, but watch them, too. It's heartbreaking 💔 when they don't come home. Random fact: please restrain your pups in cars. Airbags kill dogs every day - even large ones. If someone hits us at only 30 MPH, the dog becomes a missile in the car. It's bad. (Trying to prevent anyone else from the regret, pain and guilt.) Have a blessed season, dear ones 🌲🐾🥰🌙✨️
Walter very much is a mix (judging from anatomy). I would say with some hound like a Saluki or such. And this is now my favourite new mix I believe. Just look at that lovely face and the pretty long and thin nose! 1:34
Riley! You gorgous naughty doggo! LOL. Every moment is a new party. OMG Walter! 👀👀👀👀an occasional dash here or there is expected, but.....that is scary. 🫂🫂🫂 AIR TAG. We're getting one for Bowie!
Lucky little Walter. Please people it's cold out there, please keep your furry family in a fenced yard, heated kennel, even a leash. But not open to run. Because they are curious! And they will run
My dog ended up at the shelter after being a runner. They find ways to get food. She used to eat sticks. Still crunches bottles. I assume originally to get liquid
Shock collar perimeter is the best invention ever. They learn quickly and are not shocked . Warning beeps and / or vibration. They learn quickly and respect boundaries.
Fences people, fences. Why was your dog 'sitting' out in your front yard, unsecured, where there are wolves and coyotes. Yeah, really a member of your family.
🙄🤦 Common sense: Put leash(es) on them inside house before opening door to outside, even though you are NOT taking them out for a walk!!! Then once you open up your door, hook them up to another leash that is left outside, and disconnect the indoor leash from the collar or harness!!! This prevents dogs from running away, getting lost, and going missing for days, weeks, months, years!!! Take more responsibility for your own pets!!! Irresponsible owners more and more these days 😠😡!!!
I'm glad the dogs made it back home safe. But here's the thing, neither one of them was in a fenced yard or on any kind of a leash or line. Protect your pet by obeying the law. The media wants to treat this as a cute little dog went and saw Santa. But that's really not what this story's about. This story is about pet owners being irresponsible.
Ordering if Alter is neutered? My dad had a German Shepherd/Lab mix, who would take off and be gone for days whenever he scented a female in heat. One time was gone for 6 days in the midst of June thunderstorms, and finally showed back up exhausted, gaunt, thirsty, very hungry, and very, very tired! 😢
Of course I'm glad that both dogs found there way home alive, with assistance. That said, the second story was avoidable and should not have happened. When a dog owner provides their pet/family members with love, safety, food, water, medical care when needed and shelter, they are providing for their critical, yet basic needs. I don't want to minimize those needs as too many pet owners do not provide those adequately. Those not withstanding, discipline is also a necessity. By discipline, I don't mean physical punishment. I mean having rules and being consistent with enforcement of said rules and your pet understanding that you mean it and them breaking those rules is unacceptable. Dogs are like children intellectually. Unlike human children, it's for their entire lives. That doest mean that they think like or process thoughts like a child, and it's not a maturity issue either, it's simply their intelligence. Like a child, dogs will push boundaries and take advantage of you when they can. Have rules for them an be consistent. If you give them an inch, they will try to take 2. Here is my point, you wouldn't let your child walk away from while ignoring you, would you? After all, they might walk into the street and get hurt. The same goes for your dog. The number 1 thing to teach your dog and insist on them obeying is, coming when called. For example, you should be able to call your dog off of chasing a squirrel or rabbit if they are outside and off leash under voice command in a controlled environment. There is no excuse for the pet owner of the German Shepherd mix to not have been able to call her dog back. No excuse!
They were fencing their YARD!!!
Also microchip your pets. That poor German Shepherd went through some shite.
I have an 8’ fence ma’am and my dog can get over it. Thankfully she is trained better. That’s what they need is training, not a fence
Like a child, watch your animal at all times. Especially dogs like Walter. He was truly lost.
So many stories don’t have such happy endings. Glad these two did
I’ve been seeing many dogs out in someone’s backyard unleashed without supervision. Watch your dogs everyone.
One would hope a fenced in yard would be sufficient
My last dog was too smart and creative to keep penned in. We eventually had to teach her hazards and ask neighbors to keep an eye out
I'm so glad you got your dog back. They are family. I love dogs❤
So happy for Walter and his family...this is why it's so important for families to pull out all stops to find lost pets. A healthy animal at normal weight can only survive just so long without food and water in the best weather...extreme cold and heat shortens that timeframe.

God answers all prayers in his time. Thankfully someone acted on the inspiration.
So happy that both dogs were found safe!!!❤❤❤

I’m such a pet person. If I found someone’s pet and there was a reward, I would say no.
I saw your story! It was amazing. ❤
@@YTcensorsEverythingmee too!👍❤️
I so happy for you! Give Lucy a hug for me! 😊
@@YTcensorsEverything I agree. My reward would be seeing the pet back with their family. ❤️

I have 3 dogs. I never let them out alone. No matter what the weather, they’re at one end of the leash and I’m at the other.
It’s so fitting, the breed of the dog. Thank goodness he’s doing good❤
Thank you Jesus for having your angels watch over this pup.
❤❤❤
DOG'S ARE THE BEST PEOPLE !! ❤❤

visiting an old guy? lovely mom......
I thought that was kind of “ off “ too
Maybe she is Jewish?
People need to take better care of their pets!
I am constantly getting Facebook posts about lost pets, especially cats, and when I post, “Keep your cats inside” I get hateful comments.🤔
So Happy for You Terressa!!!
Two beautiful pups and their wonderful family. What a nice story. God bless them all. ❤❤❤
So glad they got their dogs home! 😊
Please, please make sure your pups are fenced, but watch them, too. It's heartbreaking 💔 when they don't come home.

That dog visiting Santa 😂 cuteness.
How precious! I wonder if the other dogs are what interested them or Santa himself 🎅❤🎄

God Bless All Your Hearts 🙏🙏 and please more watchful for our pets specially when there’s fireworks around this New Year they’re afraid 😢😢😢😢😢😢

But did Walter learn his lesson?😂❤
Better yet did the owners learn not to leave their dog unsecured in the front yard.
Shock collar perimeter is the best invention ever. They learn quickly and are not shocked . Warning beeps and / or vibration. They learn quickly and respect boundaries.
Walter 💛
every dog had it's day ...
God bless him! 🤍
😅😅😅😅😅😅thank god she was safe....❤❤❤❤❤❤
Tractive has affordable GPS solutions that start as low at $12.99 a month. It's a small price to pay to know exactly where your baby is at all time. ❤
Riley 💜🐕
HA! That is so sweet
This is why short stays in high kill shelters are dangerous!!
Fences people, fences. Why was your dog 'sitting' out in your front yard, unsecured, where there are wolves and coyotes. Yeah, really a member of your family.
All dogs know Santa is the good guy.
wow!!!
Walter must have been looking for Athena.. this happened to another German Shepard …. Glad both were returned home ❤
Just wanted to see santa❤❤
Love these stories! Thank you! 🐾❤️🐾❤️
Oh God how cute
Don't leave a puppy (or any dog) alone in a yard!!!! Love your babies!
Too funny 😂🤣
❤❤❤
💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔

Agreed, people In CA weren't so lucky 😢
People think animals think logically like they do, folks know better than to let toddlers run free (we hope) animals are not much different!
The dog had plans for this weekend 😂
Glad to see Walters home have you ever thought about getting an air tag you got about a 10-mile distance they're all notify rescues vets all that
They have “woofs” in that county?? Awesome.
She had to tell him she added a few more things to her list. 😂

You also can set radius.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Please stop leaving your dogs unattended. Dogs are unpredictable. You never know what’s going to catch their attention. 🙏🏽
❤❤❤
I simply *adore* dogs, and happy endings for them are ALWAYS a magnificent piece of great news! THANK YOU! :)
As a Floridian, how in the heck do you put in a backyard ice rink?
😂❤
1) have a backyard. 😂
Basically put in a shallow pool and let it freeze. In northern Minnesota it won't take long😊
She likes the greenhouse
❤❤

Need to rename him “Dorothy”, because now he knows: There’s no place like home…
Who let's their dog outside in the front yard without them? She needs to learn a lesson from this and never let it happen again
💙💙💙🙏
I would never ever leave my fur baby alone outside unattended
❤

😊🌍🙌🏾✨✨🐶🐶✨✨❤
Woofs AND coyotes? Yikes.
Is Walter microchipped? I had my phone number on the collar. It would help!
Poor Walter! So glad he was found.
Yeah - he realized that he forgot to ask for Milk Bones...😉😉😉😉😉😉
