Actually, no. You only lose if someone sees you. At least I lost none. I got the Gold and the darker turk, a Black Arabian and the Fox Trotter and my honor is still pretty high... A little less since one of the turks got me into a super mess.... lol
How to not lose honor: whenever you see the horse you want spawn, walk up to it, start patting it, feeding it, or brushing it, and it will reach level 1 bonding. Then you can get on the back of the horse and no honor is lost. There ya go. (Can't believe it's already been a year, damn.)
Why r* decided it was important to patch this is a head scratcher. It's single player. If people find a way to get good horses early in the game then leave it alone. Fix the moose spawn rate issues.

You do not need to save and exit. I did this after watching the video and left the area (rode to the red barn to the right) and came back. Each time it reset. Sometimes it was one or no horses, but most of the time it was two new ones. Got the splash, uncommon nakota, and saw two white arabians and one brindle thoroughbred.
I had a “few spot buckskin” Appaloosa spawn for me, I didn’t know what horse that was at first, it looked very odd (it had a moustache) and wasn’t even listed in the compendium, well when I wanted to save it at a stable it said “you cannot save gang horses at the stable, when I put the saddle on it, it didn’t appear on the map. Apparently really ANY horse can spawn there. Great video btw
One quick way I’ve found to reset the horse is to run to the Red barn just north on the road past a bunch of horses on the west side and turn around at the barn and run back and the horses should reset. Of course do this during daytime hours as that seems to be the only time horses reset. Also, as for taking the horses, just hop on ithe target horse without a saddle after maybe bonding just a little with it, right away whistling for your main horse with a saddle on to follow you,Ride north just outside of town, switch the saddle over to the new horse, ride that horse to the stable with the other horses and tow by whistling. I found this method works in I never get any sort of trouble doing it this way. Thanks for the great video
Yep, thats how i got a bunch of rare horses from that spot, just bolted to that red barn and then back so they re rendered as new horses.. i have yet to find the back arabian...soon!!!
You don’t have to go to the title screen. You can run out to the train tracks along the fence, wait for 10 seconds, then go back and look over the fence.
Wasn’t working for me. I’m on the epilogue portion of the game. What does work however, is that you can save the game, and immediately load your save. No need for title screen and also running to train tracks and back, if that doesn’t work. Regardless, save and load should be nearly as fast as the track method. Thanks dude for making this video! After a couple tries, no longer than 5 minutes, the rose-grey(?) Arabian and the silver Fox Trotter spawned at the same time! Couldn’t be happier with my horses!
Pro tip: riding your horse down to the red barn and back to cycle horses out is a MUCH better method. Not only is it faster to cycle through horses, but you can use a newly stolen horse to go up and down and you'll have a brand new horse up to level 3 in 1 day instead of resetting the saves. It also helps if you want to flip the horses because their value goes up with the bonding. I will start at 8, and run up and down the street until 5 and usually run through nearly every elite horse in that time. Whatever I didn't get, camp and start next morning. The people who say this doesn't work are impatient. Some days I saw 10 Tiger Mustangs and 0 black Arabians, other days something opposite. It's random so don't expect it to work immediately or how you want but you'll see everything. I filled up my stable with 5 horses through this method and they all were leveled up immediately by looking for the next one.
@@GMfish glad it was still helpful this is a game that doesn't get old and still looks just as beautiful so I often go back to my stable and just go look for legendary animals on a different horse. It's worth putting in the extra time
@@beret4542 I can't verify because I haven't tried it really recent but it was very very consistent at the time so if you aren't seeing the elite horses in that exact spot it's patched is my guess. I still have it downloaded though so maybe I'll give it a run
I know right, I know you can get the temporary horse and 4 plus your main but I still want more space too, I keep the rose grey Arabian,black Arabian,gold turkoman and missouri fox trotter and a alapalosa or whatever as a temporary but still want more lol
Easy.. just follow TagBack's video.. he explains it perfectly. I believe you can make it even easier by not having to quit out of the game. Just ride north far enough until you hit the swamp walking boards then turn around and they'll be respawned with different horses. Now, what you get is simply luck of the draw so it may take some time to get something worth while.
Tested this method a 10 times, found all the best horses. One advise, you don't need to reload every time, just reach the red barn straight ahead and go back. Works fine as well. If you start to find only weak horses several time in a row, exit and reload the game. My current horse is the Missouri Fox Trotter Silver Spotted Coat, at chapter 3.
I did a small scale test to try and get a gauge of the spawn rate of the horses and genders and this is what I've found in 25 spawns: No horses spawned: 1 1 horse spawned: 2 2 horses spawned: 22 Breeds: Tennessee Walker: 17 Arabian: 2 (1 RG, 1 BLK) Dutch Warmblood: 5 Morgan: 8 Thoroughbred: 2 (1 BLD, 1 GR) Kentucky Saddler: 5 Suffolk Punch: 3 Nakota: 2 (1 GR, 1 BLR) Turkoman: 1 (DB) Belgian Draft: 1 Appaloosa: 1 (BKT) Missouri Fox Trotter: 1 (AC) Gender: 100% Male (patted everyone until I heard the "good boy" or "easy girl") I'd like to see what everyone else has found there as well.
Magatsu_City 97 eyyy I got the same. Pulled a gold Turk prior but, the game swapped it out after a cut scene. Had to redo the process and got silver. Going to go for Dark Bay Turk, will look good with the panther saddle.

I tamed a white arabian mare at the beginning of the game and I can see the stats are the same of the black arabian you showcase in this video. I think that the best thing is tame like I did, your story starts in the grizzlies so it's an easy spot to reach since chapter 1 or 2, a lot easier than stealing it and the save/load thing.
I got the rose grey bay on the first ride up there. Rode my horse right up next to it, took off the saddle, put it on the new horse, and rode off. No honor strike. Thanx.
Worked for me! Just set up camp near the area then go first thing in morning with your horse near to the spot where the horses respawn. Just look out for the dude that works and a random bystander that sits by the steps next at the spot. Happy Hunting!
Thanks so much! I was on chapter 3 and got a beautiful Turkomon and a Rose gray Arabian! The first time I tried I got a gang horse and didn’t realize what it meant it somehow duplicated my saddle and I had to fix my game. Make sure u can bond with the horse to tell it’s not a gang horse
To avoid your honour dropping just wait til the guys walking around can’t see you before you steal the horse. That’s how I avoided it! And don’t saddle the horse up til you’re out of the area so there’s no witnesses, or wait til you’re at the stable to do it
6 hrs of doing it saw white arab once black 4 rose once saw everything else accept the fox trotter i really want that one. Even got the tiger stripe mustang
I stumbled upon a way to get the dapple gray fox trotter in chapter 2 before doing any missions. From camp ride up to moonstone pond straight away before doing anything. Taking time to kill the 2 O'driscolls standing off the rode on the way. After you go pass the oil fields go north once you cross the tracks head straight up towards the ranch and go around it to the right making sure you keep the road out of your sight. When you get to the pond you will see the horse standing in the rode with it's head hanging down and the skank that left it waddling up the rode going away from you. Quickly give the horse 2 oat cakes which will revive it and ride it back to camp. I have done this numerous times to see if it works and it does about 90% of the time. keeping it is another matter. Ride it to do the swanson mission then hitch it at camp. Then do the mission with hosea and while you're up there stay and kill the bear after he leaves. Ride back to camp and now you can remove your saddle and put it on the gray and her saddle will disappear. It is now your permanent horse.
Its possible to get turkoman from photographer quest, or white (spawn) or black (st denis event) arabians as early as chap 2, so you can still get a great horse early.

You can get every horse except the most rare of them all...the blue racing Nokota...and when I say blue....It's really blue. Probably the only one in the game. It's such a beautiful horse and you can only get it in one place. Steal it from the guy who introduces you to treasure maps near a cliff, that sells you his treasure map for $10 cause he has to go to Japan. Rob him, kill him and steal his horse, the horse is fully strapped with his luggage, take it to the stables so the luggage is removed and you can truly see how the horse looks and make it your own.
Just a tip, if you can get the horse to the near by tree and hitch it repeatedly (without the stable hands seeing you) you get a bonding skill up for each time you hitch the horse. Eventually it becomes a temporary horse and you can simply whistle of it, lead it out of the city and saddle it up without any bounty or crime being reported.
I got a Brindle Thoroughbred with this method. Thanks for the tutorial. Other videos weren't telling you the part about exiting the game and reloading they were just cutting to when they got a good horse.
@@suggondees4882 Nah if you have the disc version uninstall the game, reinstall with no internet and the game will be on patch 1.0 you can do all the glitches all though none of your current saves will work meaning you'll have to start a new one. Also make sure as long as you're playing the game your xbox isn't connected to the internet.
Keep going exactly how he explains in the vid. I ran into the same thing, & thought I messed up. Save & restart story mode. In a couple tries, they'll be back. This also happens when you keep your first horse.
@@MenaceRz96 By first horse, I meant you can take more than one horse from this "Super Stable". The first horse I took from here was the tiger striped bay mustang- I rode him to the stable, whistling for my main horse to follow us. Then when you go back to the super stable, the horses will disappear for a while again, then you just keep following the steps in this vid, & they'll reappear eventually.
For anyone wondering, this method does work. Just did it. On chapter 2, and got the Dark Bay Turkoman on my 4 or 5th try. Just follow his instructions. I'm gonna try getting more nice horses later
This unfortunately was patched shortly after it was discovered but if you own a physical copy of the game, you can delete the current patch, turn off your internet completely off and install the day one patch. Once the game is re installed, keep your internet off and play on day one patch which not only gives you access to this glitch but also the Gold glitches that were found in single player. I have done it as I wasn't able to get my copy until February of 2019 and these glitches had already been patched but I thought about doing this and it worked since I wasn't going to play online yet until I played the story. The perks of having a physical copy is that when its digital, it will automatically download with the current patch so that I know of there is no way to get around it since you have to have internet on to download the digital copy. This is why I never bought it digitally afterwards. LOL Also, I highly doubt this will work on a copy of it on PC even physical as this glitch was probably patched on release of the PC version but when you have mods you can spawn any horse into single player I bet like in GTA 5 Single Player Mods.
I know I'm late, but I got my Silver Dapple Pinto Missouri Fox Trotter in 6 attempts using this, I got ridiculously lucky, I also found 2 gold Turks, a Black Arabian, a silver Turk and a Rose Grey Bay Arabian

Hello everyone, there is an easier way. All you have to do once you get to the destination of where to find the horses as mentioned. Instead of saving and reentering the game over and over. Just ride to the (outside) horse stable down the road, you will see a bunch of horses resting or walking around. Just hop the fence, jump on any horse and ride it for just a few seconds. Then jump on your horse and return to the original spot and the horses will be different every time. Also, no one bothers you when you ride these horses in the outside stable.
That's the prittiest Turkoman like Dapple Pinto Missouri Fox Trotter the prittiest Missouri Fox Trotter. Turkomans are one of the best among second fastest horses in Red Dead Redemption 2 but better than out of three fastest horses Brindle Thoroughbred and Reverse Dapple Roan Nokata when comes to health and stamina also better than Missouri Fox Trotter but only in health.

You don’t have to log out and in. Just run down the road to the red barn and come back. I’ve been doing this for 30 min and I’ve found all three coats of Arabians.
Thank you good sir, I now have Gold and Silver Turkoman, silver dapple pinto Missouri Fox Trotter. Save my white Arabian (bonding level 4) in stable to ride with new boah Missouri Fox Trotter. All this in just chapter 2. Also thanks to the commenter who told to just go to the red barn on north and just come back and new horse(s) will be spawn (sometimes none though).
This is extremely helpful. literally 15 mins after buying a fox trotter (my fav) he walked into the train tracks and died, like a chump. Now I'm gonna go get me another one, for free, and hopefully a few more to sell at the fence.
FYI for anyone trying to free up stable space by removing DLC horses... just make sure the dlc horse is out of the stable, if it is your main horse, take the saddle off and put it on another horse to make the dlc your “temporary horse”. Then go find yet another horse and reach at least level one bonding with it. This new horse is now your temporary horse and the dlc horse should have disappeared. I have used this method many times and it seems to always work. The temp horse will always be replaced with any new horse that is mounted and then bonded to at least level one. I’m so glad this place exists, thanks for the info! It’s so annoying that we can’t keep any more than five horses (the fifth being your temporary one), but it’s great to know that if I lose a rare/wild one I can always replace it with this method. :)
Unistall the game turn off your internet then re install. You will get an unpatched version of the game and you will be able to get any horse you need. You keep all your progress as well so dw abt losing that. I’ve done it myself guaranteed works

So awsome and so bad at the same time as you can have only 5 horses! 19 horse breeds so many different beautiful patterns and only 5 can be saved. ROCKSTAR fix this shit!
You dont have to go to the title screen just run down the street to somewhere you can make a campfire and go to sleep and when you wake up there should be new horses at the spot. Works every time
thanks so much man, I got the rose grey Arabian and missouri fox trotter within the first 30 mins, I had to sell the white Arabian but now I have the black and grey Arabians, Missouri fox trotter and gold turkoman in chapter 5... so far I definitely agree with the fox trotter being the best it's pretty awesome and a side note make sure you do this only in the day, most people probably figured but of course I tried at night first and it didn't work
I feel so bad, I had to kill my preorder horse because It wouldn’t let me sell it and it was using up a slot in the stables. Took it out to the bayou, blew it up with a stick of dynamite, and mercy killed it...kinda sad really...
TagBackTV all these videos are when the game just came out. Now Rockstar has fixed the glitches in this video and all the others as well so this want happen . I was wanting to know if you know of anytime in the game {Story Mode) that you buy a Turk, Black Arabian, Rose Grey etc. at a Stable. I had never had played Red Dead Redemption and I just bought the regular version so I was trying to find another way.
Been at it for a couple hours now! Got the gold turkoman, dappled missouri fox trotter, the tiger-striped mustang, and a really cool, striped thoroughbred with good stats (in game the color is called brindle). Plenty of the black and white arabians along the way. Still no rose gray arabian. I feel like exiting to title screen & reloading (after saving near the horse spawn in the middle of a sunny day) works best out of all ways I've read here in comments.
@@jokerx2569 yeah I first tried not putting my saddle on it and then tried putting it on kept saying can't stable gang horse and when I tried to just save it as my mane horse it gave me a horse I never had once I loaded my save
Dont think its working anymore... Restarted 10 times and got nothing but ordinary horses that you can get in any stable for 150.... was good to try though...
If you have rdr2 as a disk you can turn off WiFi on console then delete rdr2 then re-download rdr2 with WiFi off and when it’s fully downloaded it should stay on patch 1.00 if you don’t turn back on your WiFi
Hey I hope this helps Set up camp near by and sleep til morning, run straight to that area and there should be horses. I used a combination of things to get the horses I wanted. I would either run about a minutes gallop away then head back and there would be a fresh spawn or if I didn’t want to risk it being night time, I would gallop that one minute away but save the game while away and keep reloading the game until I got the horse I wanted. You’ll get lots of shit horses and have to keep repeating til you get the rare ones but it definitely works. Took me two hours to get the tiger striped mustang, I kept getting Arabians and Turks.
Oh okay well there ya go, was night time and storming, was just gonna check out what was there before I turned it off for the night. Good to know, appreciate the help.
Okay so I tried this and got the rose grey Arabian in like 5 minutes! Totally worth, it’s even easier then portrayed in video you can literally ride away a little bit and come back in like 10 seconds to have new horses there. This could also be great for income as you can sell some of these extremely valuable horses at the horse fence for good money
Sadly they fixed it in the update, no more free elites. They really shouldn’t have done that for it’s nothing major at all in effecting the story, you just have to work for what you want and few will make an effort for it.

Just donate money into your camp in increments of 20$. This will maximum boost your honor points to be added to the overall honor total.
If you got money to burn donate $21 to the camp it gives 10 honor points. Max honor is rank 8 320+ points

Thanks buddy, definitely save my time. Spend about 1-1,5 hours to get silver dapple pinto Missouri Fox Trotter. With reloads it would be hours.

@@beret4542 I can't verify because I haven't tried it really recent but it was very very consistent at the time so if you aren't seeing the elite horses in that exact spot it's patched is my guess. I still have it downloaded though so maybe I'll give it a run

Sucks u can only have 4 horses in stable
You can have 6 Horses really, 4 in the stable. Your main and than the "spare" horse
You can also have a bunch of temporary/ extra main horses at your gang campsite

Easy.. just follow TagBack's video.. he explains it perfectly. I believe you can make it even easier by not having to quit out of the game. Just ride north far enough until you hit the swamp walking boards then turn around and they'll be respawned with different horses. Now, what you get is simply luck of the draw so it may take some time to get something worth while.
Tested this method a 10 times, found all the best horses. One advise, you don't need to reload every time, just reach the red barn straight ahead and go back. Works fine as well. If you start to find only weak horses several time in a row, exit and reload the game. My current horse is the Missouri Fox Trotter Silver Spotted Coat, at chapter 3.

I did a small scale test to try and get a gauge of the spawn rate of the horses and genders and this is what I've found in 25 spawns:

Magatsu_City 97 eyyy I got the same. Pulled a gold Turk prior but, the game swapped it out after a cut scene. Had to redo the process and got silver. Going to go for Dark Bay Turk, will look good with the panther saddle.

I tamed a white arabian mare at the beginning of the game and I can see the stats are the same of the black arabian you showcase in this video.
I think that the best thing is tame like I did, your story starts in the grizzlies so it's an easy spot to reach since chapter 1 or 2, a lot easier than stealing it and the save/load thing.
white Arabians are a bit worse than black, and the rose Gray Arabian is best
The difference between the white black and gray Arabians is in health and stamina
The gray has full bars at level4
The black has 9
The white has 8

I got the rose grey bay on the first ride up there. Rode my horse right up next to it, took off the saddle, put it on the new horse, and rode off. No honor strike. Thanx.
What chapter are u on? I did it for 6+ hours today and the only two I couldnt get to spawn were the rose grey Arabian and the tiger stripe mustang.

Worked for me! Just set up camp near the area then go first thing in morning with your horse near to the spot where the horses respawn. Just look out for the dude that works and a random bystander that sits by the steps next at the spot. Happy Hunting!

The first time I tried I got a gang horse and didn’t realize what it meant it somehow duplicated my saddle and I had to fix my game. Make sure u can bond with the horse to tell it’s not a gang horse
To avoid your honour dropping just wait til the guys walking around can’t see you before you steal the horse. That’s how I avoided it! And don’t saddle the horse up til you’re out of the area so there’s no witnesses, or wait til you’re at the stable to do it

SAME THIS IS SO FRUSTERATING.
I stumbled upon a way to get the dapple gray fox trotter in chapter 2 before doing any missions. From camp ride up to moonstone pond straight away before doing anything. Taking time to kill the 2 O'driscolls standing off the rode on the way. After you go pass the oil fields go north once you cross the tracks head straight up towards the ranch and go around it to the right making sure you keep the road out of your sight. When you get to the pond you will see the horse standing in the rode with it's head hanging down and the skank that left it waddling up the rode going away from you. Quickly give the horse 2 oat cakes which will revive it and ride it back to camp. I have done this numerous times to see if it works and it does about 90% of the time. keeping it is another matter. Ride it to do the swanson mission then hitch it at camp. Then do the mission with hosea and while you're up there stay and kill the bear after he leaves. Ride back to camp and now you can remove your saddle and put it on the gray and her saddle will disappear. It is now your permanent horse.
Its possible to get turkoman from photographer quest, or white (spawn) or black (st denis event) arabians as early as chap 2, so you can still get a great horse early.

You can get every horse except the most rare of them all...the blue racing Nokota...and when I say blue....It's really blue. Probably the only one in the game.
It's such a beautiful horse and you can only get it in one place. Steal it from the guy who introduces you to treasure maps near a cliff, that sells you his treasure map for $10 cause he has to go to Japan. Rob him, kill him and steal his horse, the horse is fully strapped with his luggage, take it to the stables so the luggage is removed and you can truly see how the horse looks and make it your own.

Just a tip, if you can get the horse to the near by tree and hitch it repeatedly (without the stable hands seeing you) you get a bonding skill up for each time you hitch the horse. Eventually it becomes a temporary horse and you can simply whistle of it, lead it out of the city and saddle it up without any bounty or crime being reported.
I got a Brindle Thoroughbred with this method. Thanks for the tutorial. Other videos weren't telling you the part about exiting the game and reloading they were just cutting to when they got a good horse.
@@suggondees4882 Nah if you have the disc version uninstall the game, reinstall with no internet and the game will be on patch 1.0 you can do all the glitches all though none of your current saves will work meaning you'll have to start a new one. Also make sure as long as you're playing the game your xbox isn't connected to the internet.
It took a while, but I got my tiger striped bay mustang, & a gold turkoman. Be patient. Approx 1 hr to complete. In chapter 2, btw.

Keep going exactly how he explains in the vid. I ran into the same thing, & thought I messed up. Save & restart story mode. In a couple tries, they'll be back. This also happens when you keep your first horse.

@@MenaceRz96 By first horse, I meant you can take more than one horse from this "Super Stable". The first horse I took from here was the tiger striped bay mustang- I rode him to the stable, whistling for my main horse to follow us. Then when you go back to the super stable, the horses will disappear for a while again, then you just keep following the steps in this vid, & they'll reappear eventually.

For anyone wondering, this method does work. Just did it. On chapter 2, and got the Dark Bay Turkoman on my 4 or 5th try. Just follow his instructions. I'm gonna try getting more nice horses later
I think they must have patched this. Been doing it for an hour. All I get is Tennessee Walker and Morgan's

This unfortunately was patched shortly after it was discovered but if you own a physical copy of the game, you can delete the current patch, turn off your internet completely off and install the day one patch. Once the game is re installed, keep your internet off and play on day one patch which not only gives you access to this glitch but also the Gold glitches that were found in single player. I have done it as I wasn't able to get my copy until February of 2019 and these glitches had already been patched but I thought about doing this and it worked since I wasn't going to play online yet until I played the story. The perks of having a physical copy is that when its digital, it will automatically download with the current patch so that I know of there is no way to get around it since you have to have internet on to download the digital copy. This is why I never bought it digitally afterwards. LOL
Also, I highly doubt this will work on a copy of it on PC even physical as this glitch was probably patched on release of the PC version but when you have mods you can spawn any horse into single player I bet like in GTA 5 Single Player Mods.

Hello everyone, there is an easier way. All you have to do once you get to the destination of where to find the horses as mentioned. Instead of saving and reentering the game over and over. Just ride to the (outside) horse stable down the road, you will see a bunch of horses resting or walking around. Just hop the fence, jump on any horse and ride it for just a few seconds. Then jump on your horse and return to the original spot and the horses will be different every time. Also, no one bothers you when you ride these horses in the outside stable.

That's the prittiest Turkoman like Dapple Pinto Missouri Fox Trotter the prittiest Missouri Fox Trotter. Turkomans are one of the best among second fastest horses in Red Dead Redemption 2 but better than out of three fastest horses Brindle Thoroughbred and Reverse Dapple Roan Nokata when comes to health and stamina also better than Missouri Fox Trotter but only in health.
Any word if this still works? Have tried a billion times and never got anything but standard horses.

This is extremely helpful. literally 15 mins after buying a fox trotter (my fav) he walked into the train tracks and died, like a chump. Now I'm gonna go get me another one, for free, and hopefully a few more to sell at the fence.
FYI for anyone trying to free up stable space by removing DLC horses... just make sure the dlc horse is out of the stable, if it is your main horse, take the saddle off and put it on another horse to make the dlc your “temporary horse”. Then go find yet another horse and reach at least level one bonding with it. This new horse is now your temporary horse and the dlc horse should have disappeared. I have used this method many times and it seems to always work. The temp horse will always be replaced with any new horse that is mounted and then bonded to at least level one.
I’m so glad this place exists, thanks for the info! It’s so annoying that we can’t keep any more than five horses (the fifth being your temporary one), but it’s great to know that if I lose a rare/wild one I can always replace it with this method. :)
Unistall the game turn off your internet then re install. You will get an unpatched version of the game and you will be able to get any horse you need. You keep all your progress as well so dw abt losing that. I’ve done it myself guaranteed works

thanks so much man, I got the rose grey Arabian and missouri fox trotter within the first 30 mins, I had to sell the white Arabian but now I have the black and grey Arabians, Missouri fox trotter and gold turkoman in chapter 5... so far I definitely agree with the fox trotter being the best it's pretty awesome and a side note make sure you do this only in the day, most people probably figured but of course I tried at night first and it didn't work

TagBackTV all these videos are when the game just came out. Now Rockstar has fixed the glitches in this video and all the others as well so this want happen . I was wanting to know if you know of anytime in the game {Story Mode) that you buy a Turk, Black Arabian, Rose Grey etc. at a Stable. I had never had played Red Dead Redemption and I just bought the regular version so I was trying to find another way.
If you have the disk version you're free to reinstall the game and cancel the updates.

Been at it for a couple hours now! Got the gold turkoman, dappled missouri fox trotter, the tiger-striped mustang, and a really cool, striped thoroughbred with good stats (in game the color is called brindle). Plenty of the black and white arabians along the way. Still no rose gray arabian. I feel like exiting to title screen & reloading (after saving near the horse spawn in the middle of a sunny day) works best out of all ways I've read here in comments.
Anyone else having a problem taking these horses to the stable? Im getting a msg that says "cannot stable gang horses."

@@jokerx2569 yeah I first tried not putting my saddle on it and then tried putting it on kept saying can't stable gang horse and when I tried to just save it as my mane horse it gave me a horse I never had once I loaded my save

If you have rdr2 as a disk you can turn off WiFi on console then delete rdr2 then re-download rdr2 with WiFi off and when it’s fully downloaded it should stay on patch 1.00 if you don’t turn back on your WiFi

Set up camp near by and sleep til morning, run straight to that area and there should be horses. I used a combination of things to get the horses I wanted. I would either run about a minutes gallop away then head back and there would be a fresh spawn or if I didn’t want to risk it being night time, I would gallop that one minute away but save the game while away and keep reloading the game until I got the horse I wanted. You’ll get lots of shit horses and have to keep repeating til you get the rare ones but it definitely works. Took me two hours to get the tiger striped mustang, I kept getting Arabians and Turks.
Oh okay well there ya go, was night time and storming, was just gonna check out what was there before I turned it off for the night.

Okay so I tried this and got the rose grey Arabian in like 5 minutes! Totally worth, it’s even easier then portrayed in video you can literally ride away a little bit and come back in like 10 seconds to have new horses there. This could also be great for income as you can sell some of these extremely valuable horses at the horse fence for good money
First reload rose grey Arabian. I’m more of a turkoman guy but still amazing that this worked so quickly!
Sadly they fixed it in the update, no more free elites.
They really shouldn’t have done that for it’s nothing major at all in effecting the story, you just have to work for what you want and few will make an effort for it.
