It lasted 10 and a half years and what a great ride. I had a feeling once Paramount Plus was introduced that that may be the end of Nick Rewind. I’ve been a fan ever since that first launch night of The ‘90s Are All That and I’m glad it lasted as long as it did in every incarnation. Never say never to it returning, but I think also this may mean the beginning for the end of Nickelodeon and it’s channels as we currently know them.
I mean, there was never any announcement made on NickRewind discontinuing, and their social media accounts are still active, so I wouldn't rule out NickRewind returning either. But maybe that's wishful thinking on my part.
@@NeoKokoro20 well the last times they tried to take away hours from the block, the fans caught wind of it and got mad which made Teennick’s heads have to apologize and give the hours back. So maybe they felt that since Paramount Plus and Pluto TV are now in existence, they felt this was a better time to retire the block. I really feel like this should’ve been the new Nick At Nite and been switched over to the regular Nickelodeon channel. I guess they did try it a bit back when they were having their difficulties with DirecTV and it didn’t do so well but still, I remember Entertainment Weekly or TV Guide, or maybe even both, calling this the new Nick At Nite for Gen X kids and I felt like it was going to succeed the Nick At Nite lineup since Nick At Nite wasn’t doing too well. Now though, everyone with Paramount Plus and other services can make their own Snick and Nick At Nite lineups.
@@NeoKokoro20 Honestly, no one knows the whole situation, but it's safe to assume that NickRewind will be gone for a little while. There are no bumpers or screenbugs that relate to NickRewind, but it might not be completely shut down.

After all, the whole reason the block even existed at all was due to people complaining that Nickelodeon never played the old shows anymore. And if the block doesn't return, they could also consider moving the shows that regularly aired on the block over to Nicktoons (like Rugrats, Doug, Hey Arnold and Rocko's Modern Life). Sure, these shows are on Paramount+, but not everyone has or wants that, (some people are sick of having to pay for yet another streaming service) and there's just something about watching these shows on live TV that streaming services just can't replicate.

NickRewind was dead on arrival when it rebranded from NickSplat imo sadly. While I’ll miss the block, I’m glad I won’t see the same damn music videos play anymore during commercials.
The music videos were my main pet peeve with the block. That and the fact that they advertised so many shows (Jimmy Neutron, Chalkzone, etc.) yet almost NEVER aired them.

No more NickRewind, iCarly will still air at nights, just not under the NickRewind branding. So basically, iCarly marathons take up the entire night now.
