Arguably the Creepiest Bigfoot Encounter I've Ever Heard

- As mentioned in the title, this is arguably the creepiest bigfoot encounter I've ever heard tell of. It takes place in Montana, on the border with Idaho.
It ends rather abruptly, but I got unreasonably sick. I wanted to wait until I got better to finish it, but that hasn't happened yet. So I'll likely sneak the rest in somewhere, some time.
Also, this illustrator was just a fill in, but I've landed on a new illustrator that I'm rather excited about.
Anyway, thank you all so much, happy holidays!
I think that about it covers it. I'm going to bed.

I know this video ends a bit abruptly, but I got so sick and I wanted to wait until I felt better to finish, but I’m not better yet…
Also, I have a new illustrator that I’m very excited about! And she will debut shortly.
Peace to all of you!
I've been watching your videos for a couple years now. Maybe one day I could share a string of storys that my family has told all of us kids for years. You may find intresting but it is lengthy.
If you get chance to do a follow up that would be brilliant as this has really creeped me out.
Get well soon Bob.
Get well soon Bobby boy
May you feel better soon! Try to get some sunshine if you can. And salt baths are good, when i feel sick. Thanks for all the cool stuff you have done, looking forward to the debut of your new team member :)
Extremely excited for this, you’re an amazing story teller and the artistry is always enjoyable
This story was definitely unsettling, but i cant help but laugh at the idea of an adolescent bigfoot wearing a sundress. The neighbor said it had been wearing it for about a year, so they probably had multiple encounters with a sasquatch running around with a dress on. Thats hilarious
Not half as funny as the one that fell asleep on and defecated in that tractor. Nasty, but classic.
I laughed real hard at that part too. 😂
Maybe it would be more common in these stories if our clothes were bigger... 🤨🤔

As many times as I've seen them with clothes on I couldn't help but wonder how they obtained them and my guess was right. The juvenile males appear to be partial to basketball jerseys and gym shorts. The one that stole the blouse might have been a female (unless they witnessed 👇otherwise if you know what I mean) but it can be difficult to tell the difference unless you see the genitalia because a majority of them do look masculine up until a certain age where they develop more feminine features.
Bro was 100% certain he saw a giant demon and he still ran out into the dead of night. No matter what you think really happened you have to admit he’s one hell of a man.
Pretty badass!
That's father instinct right there

Parental instincts are some of the strongest ones we possess.
That’s definitely a spooky story, but something about “that’s why I never let my middle son go to Walmart” in the middle of a scary story made me burst out laughing
Me too! Lololol!
I wanna hear that story
lmao 😂
Have you been to Walmart?
That’s what made me think this really was told by a grandmother lol. I remember my grandparents doing little funny interjections like that
The little bigfoot wearing a sundress is both hysterical and creepy as hell.
Very creepy! All I could think of is freakin leather face!🫤
It’s so funny to me, cause I didn’t expect that at all 😂
If it's a little bigfoot, would you just call it an Averagefoot
Seen women in Chicago like that.
The bigfeet caught the woke too 😔
The detail and illustration of an intensely religious man holding a rifle and smoking a tobacco pipe, standing guard, and talking about crazy ass demons stealing religious statues, is just super badass.
That neighbor is Gods Cowboy, or something like that
That woukd be an interesting scene in a movie, kinda like the old man from Pet Cemetary.
Imagine walking through the woods and running into that Bigfoot in a summer dress….I think I’d be having myself checked into a mental hospital.
There was another story told by MK Davis about a sasquatch stealing then wearing a red poncho that was hung on a clothesline
lmao
I think I would LMAO 🤣 😂 I heard of one wearing huge overall britches seen by someone. All the ones I've seen were dark brown black, Hairy & naked. But there is so much crazy stuff in this world our human minds can't understand

I live in Arkansas on the slope of a mountain. With the exceptions of a few dirt and gravel roads, the land is untouched. I've heard people talk about being in the woods and everything going silent. With the amount of insects and wildlife, I've never found that to be plausible. On clear nights, my wife and I like to search for stars and planets, watch the ISS go by, and view cosmic events like meteor showers and comets. Recently, we were outside around midnight and heard a shrill, loud, piercing scream over the regular night sounds. That instant, everything got quiet. It was as if someone flipped a switch. I am familiar with our native species. The scream was something we've never heard before, but the eerie silence that followed was completely unnerving.
When I was around 12, I lived in a tiny suburban town. My development was on a hill surrounded by forest. I woke up randomly around 2 am and couldn't get back to sleep. After a while of tossing and turning I heard the most horrific scream from a girl I ever heard. My body became numb with fear. It came from around 500 yards from the front of my house. I then heard a single wack sound from the same area. In my mind I thought it sounded close to a baseball bat. The screaming immediately halted. I told my mom the next morning and she told me it was a dream. I still don't think so.

Yeah, it can be hard to credit how still the outdoors can get until you stumble into it. Fact is most humans do not register as a predator to small wildlife. To larger things, sure, but the small stuff knows they are not worth our time. That we generally do not bring our violence into their realm. It is those things that do that cause that hush. If you hear it you gotta be aware of your surroundings. Most predators do not want a fight but a quick ambush. Just becoming aware of what the threat is and showing it you know it is there, regardless of how much more capable it is, is usually enough to make it decide to let you pass by cautiously if you do the same.
Also a lot of animals do make eerie sounds. Foxes are said to make a sound like a woman screaming. Not something I have heard but I have heard panicked rabbits when the local cats catch them. Until you get used to it the sound can cut through you.
Fox screams can sound like that. Trust me, ive experienced it and was scared shitless until I found the sounds on TH-cam.

Writing style is way too professional, seems AI generated. Father saying we need to be “vigilant” isn’t a term used from that era. It’s more post 9/11.
@@Luv2Boogie So many ways you can poke holes in that though. She could just be a decent writer who spent time writing out her story, especially since she had 50 years to think about it and come up with interesting ways to tell that specific story. Vigilant might be a word used more often today but it wasn't a necessarily uncommon word in the mid 1970s either. It's also entirely possible she might have inserted a word here and there over the years as memory faded and her own lexicon changed.
I'm not saying it isn't AI, just that the presence of that word in her story or the semi-professional style doesn't seem like a solid argument to me.

Bigfoot isn't no teddy bear.
Personally, I don't believe in Bigfoot. However, he does have good stories and Narration. Plus, the Illustrations don't hurt either. I don't necessarily have to believe it to appreciate it.. If that makes sense.
Well nothing would revitalize a love for Bigfoot more than watching one opening it’s flood gates and dropping a big brown scuddler right one the seat of your own John Deere. I feel sorry for who ever experienced that
Well said.

In my country, Korea(south), tigers and leopards lived in the past, but now they are all recognized as extinct. However, the footprints and traces of tigers and leopards have been steadily discovered, and the sightings of tigers and leopards are told today to be like Bigfoot in North America. I'm also interested in Bigfoot, and I'm always looking forward to it being revealed

The USA actually has "extinct" big cats too - I live in Pennsylvania and officially we're not supposed to have any mountain lions here, but I don't think anyone has told the mountain lions that. They might have migrated from the western states rather than being survivors of the original population, but they're definitely here.
Does Korea have any bigfoot or bigfoot-like creatures?

That was definitely different than the “normal” Bigfoot stories. I have always thought that there are multiple kinds of Bigfoot type creatures and that is why the stories are different. If not types than maybe ages are important in their development of reaction and appearance.
Maybe it’s regional. Here in West Virginia Bigfoot sightings tend to depict the Bigfoots as being docile and shy creatures while out west, Bigfoot’s seem to be more aggressive.
No butt listen. Look! Is big big growl! Feets fur and large grand foots@
@@PappysDungeon45In Alaska, there's many stories of hyperagressive and even murderous Bigfoot. Maybe the higher food availability allows them to grow bigger in certain regions, which in turn might make them bolder.
But I don't believe the perception of Bigfoot as a docile and shy creature in general, regardless of region.
The Native americans have tales of outright war with bigfoot clans, where they'd rip the heads of warriors clean off the neck with a twist. Bigfoot seem to have lost those, so the survivors apear to have learned that a stealthy lifestyle is in the best interest of their continued existence. But I don't expect a Bigfoot to show any kindness or sympathy to a lone hiker or hunter, not anymore than any other animal at least. Hopefully disinterest. I wonder how many cases of people who went missing in the woods, body never found but their items show up in far away locations might have something to do with Bigfoot.
Bingo
Plains Bigfoot
Cave Bigfoot
Pacific Bigfoot
And some argue those that live in South Florida and the gulf coast are another species.
@@PappysDungeon45 i heard the bigfoot type creatures up north are aggressive like maybe territorial or very aggresive.
Something strange but also almost personifying about this bigfoot story is the idea of it collecting knick knacks' from houses as well as playing with and laughing at a porch light. The 12 angels statues also give me a "It found this object and liked how it looked so it kept looking for more." type idea. Although having the picture of the girl as well is extremely unsettling.
Goodnight punpun
It seems ritualistic, which is disturbing if you buy the theory that they are descended from fallen angels. Burying them with the family's personal items maybe gave them more access or 'right' to the family.
I truly believe they’re just like us and they like to collect things too. 😂
Let’s assume they are breathing living creatures. Primates like collecting stuff, birds like collecting stuff, hell some fish do as well. If this occurred, it probably liked the safe and then just started taking more and more of them, starting probably with the biggest, as it would be outside. It was then trying to replicate this and burying them to keep them safe. Now the magnet was probably just amusement from repulsing effect of them, and photo is simply something it hasn’t seen and took cuz it saw it. But assuming Bigfoot was real I would expect them to steal stuff from people just like chimps do on occasion.
Burying the angels certainly undergurds the "Nephalim" theory...

And that shotgun shell hole in the doorframe highly accurate. Daddy was packing buckshot & let fly at close range IMO. Thats a hole created by the shotgun wad and the few large pellets. This only adds veracity to this odd, scary story. She described it perfectly.
I thought so too.
It's an odd detail to include. Most people fully believe a shotgun at close range spreads like crazy and punches massive holes, which makes for a much more exaggerated story.
But to say they were tightly packed, clean through? Exactly what would happen at that close of a range. Maybe the author is just ballistically knowledgeable, but for your average person, I think it adds credibility too, in a weird way.
Yeah there's no way anyone who would ever make up a story about bigfoot could ever, POSSIBLY happen to know what a shotgun hole looks like, omg such credibility.

My man repeated his great grandmother's soothing names that he probably only heard as an infant.
I wouldn't say this is completely uncharacteristic of a Bigfoot. They've been known to stick their arms inside dwellings, and, they've been known to carry off different man-made items. I've not heard of them burying trinkets, but that doesn't surprise me.
Yeah, not a believer in Bigfoot, but if they exist, nothing in this story seems strange or unbelievable. Even the angel statues makes sense to me. If they're anywhere near human level intelligence (as seems to be the case if any of these sightings are legit) then it makes perfect sense that they'd be as interested by the striking and fascinating image of an angel as we are, possibly partially BECAUSE we are. I'm pretty incredulous about the cover up though.
there is these kind of story's in some southern states but its more common for a skunk ape.
You're correct, AFloridaSon, I remember the case history that the movie "Legend of Boggy Creek" was based on. In that one, the creature reached inside the house in one part of the story, and evidently roughed up one young man severely enough that he needed medical attention.
@@mycaleb8 Why would you be incredulous about a cover-up? You really think something like this wouldn't be covered up so that national park attendance stays up and the logging industry doesn't collapse?
@@filthycasual8187 I do absolutely think that this wouldn't be covered up. Holy shit, can you even imagine the volume of tourism a CONFIRMED sighting of Bigfoot would bring? If there IS a cover up for some reason, your suggestion certainly isn't it.
I was staying in a cabin 4,000 feet up in the North Carolina mountains. Half the nights were almost defining. All of the forest creatures screeching until the moon was at its highest point in the sky. This caused extreme silence. One night I heard 2 things speaking back and forth. It wasn’t a wolf or large cat, it sounded like an ape. It was more of a primate type of sound. Right outside my window. I do wanted to bring my phone and get video evidence but I also did not want my ass kicked by 2 possible big foots. I’ve been back to that cabin several times since then and have yet to hear the creatures communicating again
You should install a trail cam outside that cabin
@akgaming7982
Bob Gymlan has done a video on cameras and how apes seem to interact with them. Its pretty interesting but if I remember correctly, the summary is that the apes who live in smaller groups are often much more cautious of new stimuli. The animals were actually so in-tune with their environment that some groups touched the cameras more times than they were seen approaching, meaning they were able to recognize the potential blindspots of the camera without being captured by it.
Two bigfoots could easily uninstall it though
Probably foxes
Lol okay, pal. You know the sounds of owls, foxes, wildcats in that area?
Holey moley. That has got me rethinking some things.
"Drifting Bear" sounds like a great title for a show about a Lakota bounty hunter.
Wow this story was exceptionally weird. I love the curiosity in the creature represented by the burying of similar items. It’s so _almost_ human.
It's also complete fiction.

I think I encountered a Sasquatch once and I was not necessarily too afraid to move but almost too afraid to move so I can definitely relate. I had the benefit of Knowing what it probably was and this young lady did not.
Encountered one in salt lake state park. Near dark, too far in the woods to make it out before total darkness. Felt something watching me, stalking me. Woods went completely silent. I threw a couple rocks and sticks, to try to stir wildlife (bird, chipmunk, anything)....not a sound. Something in my gut told me to run now! I put my 3yr old son on my shoulders and ran for my life. The days proceeding this I found 3 footprints, “nests” and what I can only describe as “choke points/kill zones”. The day prior my son screamed monkey and pointed up in the trees. I watched him (he was 10-15yds away), he seemed adamant there was something in the tree. I walked slowly to him, but couldn’t see anything. I have a wendigo, "or Dogman... Maybe..." encounter that I've still to this day never shared to anyone for the sake of embarrassment and being ridiculed. Anyway, the incident really messed up years of my life. That situation really took over my life and mental health. For over a year now I've went back and forth deciding to share my story with Bob. I don't know why but I feel like he's probably heard some wild stories but he never judges the person for that and just comes off as a kind, trustworthy soul that actually shares his own belief of these stories..... I've wrote him 3 times now and each time I've deleted the email.... Idk why I even feel the need to share this here of all places.
I've thought about sharing the situation with my parents for YEARS now. I know they truly wouldn't judge me and would atleast listen with love and understanding. The absolute sense of dread and fear I had in this situation is truly unexplainable. I honestly can not put the feelings I had that day into words, I've tried many times. I feel like if I actually share my expirence with someone that would actually listen and not judge then I'd finally be able to get this weight off my chest and truly move on in this life.
It’ll only mess up your life if you let it. These beings feed off of fear. rebuke them, do not be afraid
@@crazysilly2914 You're 100% correct. The entire interaction is what actually brought me closer to God and becoming a religious person. The blatant evil and corruption going on right now too also helped with that but the situation I had was the nail in the coffin if you will.... Praying and rebuking evil like you suggested has completely changed my life for the better and made my life so much more positive and enjoyable....
The day this happened I was out pretty deep in the woods on the Appalachian trail. It was just me and my little 6ibs pomeranian. Her favorite thing in this world was going for walks out in the woods with me and would always stay very close to me along our hikes. She was always much more aware than I was when out in the woods and would always spot Deer, squirrels and raccoons and other critters far before me and she did a great job at pointing them out to me without chasing or barking. I often wonder if I would have even been the wiser to this creature we encountered if she wasn't there but it was the first time in a very long time that she became unglued, barking and almost yelping at the same time. Looking back on the event I feel like she was just as scared as I was and she was doing her best to both protect and alert me to the situation . I'll spare you all details and get on with what I was trying to say.... Out of this entire situation, the hardest part for me now has been 4 months ago when she passed. She's the greatest dog I've ever had. I'm happy that she lived a health and long 15 year life but the day she passed was EXTREMELY hard for me... I know she's just an animal but she was there for me that day and also shared the same experience with me. It's really hard to explain how attached we were for each other, especially after dealing with what I believe to be a wendigo. I don't really think the creature was any kind of "Dogman" just due to its size and skeletal shape and movement. Whatever it was it was of demonic nature. Nothing in my entire life has ever given me such a feeling of absolute darkness and fear... Almost as if it had control of my core or nervous system..... Anyways, prayer has litteraly been the cure for me and has ultimately helped me move on and become much stronger both mentally and physically....
This might sound silly but since you took the time to actually reply with an uplifting message and advice. I don't know if you're a religious person or not but rebuking is the best advice and has really worked for me. Thank you.
@@TerminalM193 there are evil beings that have an intense hatred of humanity, they once inhabited the earth but God made them leave in order to make space for humanity. Some of them became filled with rage and try to sneak back to our world to harm us in any way they can. Treat them as nothing more then troublemakers, and shoo them away if you ever encounter one again. They hope to find nonreligious/athiest people to easily torment. They are scared of Christians however, because Christians can ‘tattle-tale’ to God about them…

I grew up about 45 minutes west of Missoula in the late 90s, back up in the mountains of the 9-Mile area. Walking the one mile dirt road from our bus stop and my house always terrified me during the late fall to early spring because it was hard to see far into the woods in the dying light.
There were times when you'd feel like you're being watched, and my mind always went to Bigfoot. We had black and grizzly bears wandering onto our property on a yearly basis. There were many instances of a neighbor noticing mountain lions in the morning when they'd let their kids walk to the bus stop.
I can recall being woken up by the sound of mountain lions screaming their awful human-like scream in the middle of the night just outside my bedroom windows.
I grew up in Oregon and was followed by what I now know was a Bigfoot. It mimicked the number of my steps and also my speed. At that time, late 70's or early 80's I had no idea what followed me. I was horrified. And I have laid in bed at night and heard the mountain lions scream from up on the hill and worrying it might come and try to steal one of the foals. That was also a terrifying sound even though I was up stairs in a tall old farm house and safe. I think our fear of that sound must be genetic from back in the saber toothed tiger days. I probably would have died of fear if I had known what followed me or if the mountain lion had been right outside my window. Kudos to you for not going into cardiac arrest at that blood curdling sound so close.
Not exactly sure what this has to do with the video here but hey thanks for sharing!
I too lived in a house when I was younger and was sometimes creeped out by things. I wore shoes on my feet and ate food when I was hungry.
I grew up in the West Kootenai during the 80’s and 90’s as an Amish kid. We were just east of the Yaak, and the forest is still more home to me than any house I’ve ever lived in. I’ve had many encounters of all the known species that inhabit the area, but Bigfoot has eluded me! I remember going to church one morning and hearing our deacon tell a wild tale of how he and his family were camping by lake Geneva, and something was screaming and throwing giant rocks around close to them though. I heard many stories similar to that….. but for me the woods is definitely home. Sometimes a bear, cat, border patrol or forest service moron might disturb my peace, but very rarely! Bigfoot and I would get along well, I bet.
Have a great day, thanks for your comment!

Thank you so much!
Yeah Bob an OG. He should have 1 million subs.
I’m only 3 minutes in, but this artwork is beautiful and one of a kind. Haven’t seen another channel do this while telling stories. Keep up the good work man!
The channel “Bedtime Stories” has a similar style of creating art to illustrate the stories. It’s an amazing channel, it has all kinds of supposedly true stories about cryptids, hauntings, alien encounters, folklore, and basically anything else spooky/paranormal. I highly recommend it, the stories are great and the artwork is beautiful and often terrifying.
@@pyroguy1104Heavily second this, bedtime stories is an amazing channel
@@pyroguy1104 also check out The Missing Enigma which goes more on the mystery disappearances side, but still very entertaining, and with similar artwork.

I grew up in Missoula and spent a lot of time in the woods up in the Rattlesnake north of town, Blue Mountain west of town and Seeley Lake; all over the Bitteroot valley. There were times I felt like I was being watched and also heard wood knocks. Years later I ended up seeing one in Oregon.
I also grew up in Missoula and still live hear near Marshal ski area.. I was a logger and know all of western Montana like the back of my hand, especially the Rattlesnake and Blue mountain areas..I have found foot prints and heard screams that were unlike anything I could identify..There are many old timers like myself that I have had admit to me they have also seen and heard things they could not explain..Most are reluctant to speak about this topic until they get to know you..
My Aunt and Uncle had a strange experiance in the early 70's at Bass Lake south of Florence. They hiked in and were camping at the lake, they heard crashing sounds all night. In the morning some trees were pushed down across the trail. They both said that there was no wind that night and it scared them. They packed up and left at daylight. They both think Bigfoot is a myth and not real but still they can't explain what happened to them. They also would never hike back up to Bass Lake but would camp at Charles Waters campground on Bass Creek.@@hairydogstail

Another great video Bob! Both fascinating and scary. I really enjoy your work.

Well this encounter puts a whole new spin on finding our horse's grave decorated the day after he died and was buried. And an even weirder spin to the things we dug up in the dirt we removed when we went to plant trees over his grave. Things that certainly were not present at the time the dirt that was put back into the hole, to cover his body. Seems that this behavior might be more traditional as opposed to random behavior.
What did you find and how was it decorated?
@@myxinautix8320 On top of his grave were rock patterns, in lines, an almost complete triangle, curved lines. Wild flowers and someone's definitely not native flowers. Cedar balls, and sticks that may or may not have been purposely placed the way they were. And feathers from several native birds.
When we were digging later to plant the trees, there were twisted up sticks, like figures, and "braided" vines. But what stood out in particular were different colored rocks, brightly colored in comparison to just native rock. We have lots of sandstone around here. There was also a bright pink geode. and I know they are native here, but I have never found one before this. It could have been in the bucket when we returned the dirt and I just didn't notice.
Can''t wait for your first documentary.
Listening to your voiceover is like sitting across the Table with you!
Kudos,Sir.
Excellent work, Bob! Thank you very much.
Thanks mate! Cheers!
The cop's behavior in this story reminds me of The Beast of Bray Road, where the police have an entire file full of "werewolf sightings" that they keep secret.
I'm sure local police have a lot of information on cryptids that they're too lazy to do anything with. Makes me wonder how many people report their cryptid sightings ONLY to the police, and then those sightings are never heard of again.
What happened at Walmart?
Asking the real questions
...stays in Walmart.
I live on a 20 acre property, when I was younger I was feeding the horses late at night when all of a sudden I got the feeling I was being watched. Not too unfamiliar for living in the middle of the woods but it soon turned into a feeling I’d never felt before and I’ve never felt since. It felt like I was prey being hunted. I never looked back, I just sprinted to the house. Scariest experience of my life.
I am an indigenous person, the tribe doesn't really matter as our family is some of the last of it. Ive oftentimes heard them being referred to as "the wood folk." Examples such as this is why. Old legend says we were family once, that us and the wood folk once lived together in the forest, but man slowly drifted away from the wood folk, tempted by comforts and safety. We still consider them cousins.
Have you encountered anything strange? Or has your family?

That's so interesting. There are so many Indigenous "Bigfoot" wood folk type myths. They're some of my favorite stories.
That is truly a creepy, worrying and off-putting story. So skin crawling to think it was messing with the house like that and doing such strange antics.
Thanks for the update Bob, absolutely love your videos.
It’s extremely common for them to mess with houses. At least in rural areas. One thing that William Jevning often talks about, especially with the Type-2’s (Woodbooger type) down south, is they will slap/punch the side of a house/building trailer at night, and the reason that they do that, is to try and get an idea of how many people (if any) are inside. These things won’t hesitate to sniff around human property, as long as they know they’re concealed from view by trees/brush/large objects/etc, and they know that there aren’t large groups of people present.
@@stoneylonesome4062 What happens if there are a large number of people present and the Big Foots stumble upon them?
@@CJ-je4hd They would flee. Human beings are pack hunters, and these creatures know that. Bigfoot tend to live/move in troops of around 4-6 individuals at a time. William Jevning has stated in his books, that, at some point in the past tens of thousands of years, early human Hunter gatherer tribes/societies became so fed up with being attacked and eaten by these creatures, that they tried to hunt them down and wipe them all out. They assumed that they succeeded, so we mostly forgot about them. Hence, the shyest of the creatures survived, hence passing on their behavioral genetics.
@@stoneylonesome4062 Where do you know the types of Bigfoot? How many types are there?
@@cicak2404 William Jevning’s show and his sources who are friends involved with the Department of the Interior and Bureau of Land Management. There are, supposedly, 4 main types known-of in the USA. Type-1 refers to the classic Gorilla-like Cascadian Sasquatch (Patterson-Gimlin film is a good example). Type-2 refers to the Chimpanzee-like Southern “Woodbooger” (the cover art of Danny Vendramini’s “Them and Us” closely resembles them, according to eye-witnesses). Type-3 refers to the “Gugwe”, which resembles a Type-2, but with a Baboon-like head (the Beast of Seven Chutes is suspected to be one). Type-4 refers to the variety reported to be in New England and Southeastern Canada, which looks relatively human-like (I’ve heard individuals who’ve encountered them say that it looks very similar to the scientific reconstructions of what Paranthropus, an extinct Hominid, probably looked like).
Feel better Mr.Gymlan. When you get to finishing the story you get to it! Your health comes first!!😷
Maybe the sasquatch was trying to break into the house in a silent way. That is why it seemed that it was searching for the doorlock. Damn that story was so unsettling.
Her dad sounds like he was a really good father.
This is some of my favorite artwork in all of your videos, and the part about the sound the creature made being this giggle that slowly turned into a scream gave me goosebumps. Her dad was a brave man for charging straight at it with that 12 gauge
You'd be surprised how brave a 12 gauge can make a man
Mr Gymlan this is one of the most outstanding youtube channels. Balanced, informative and evocative. You had a great teacher.
Voice of an Angel. So good at telling a story.
This horror story had me on the edge of my seat! The suspense is masterfully built, and the twists were genuinely surprising. Well done!
My brother claims to have seen one of these creatures swaying side to side on a hillside by our vacation cabin. This was in upstate New York near Lake Placid. What disturbed me a lot was how he said it had no visible eyes, there were just dark pits.
Very eerie. Especially the law enforcement response.
I just want to say that it is very admirable of you to support real illustrators and artists. Love your stuff.
This one has me a little freaked out. I have an off-grid cabin that borders the Beaverhead Deerlodge national forest here in Montana. we've owned it for about 8 years. I used to think that it was haunted. My wife calls it Crazy Acres! The last two times I was there just recently, I got a door knock at about 3am, the next weekend about the same time the doorknob was jiggling a little bit after I went out to get some firewood. There has been lots of other stuff too. But this is the first time that something has messed with the cabin.
I love the idea of an off the grid cabin, but in your situation I would have multiple high powered firearms in quickly accessible places.
It’s a common occurrence for them to slap the sides of houses/cabins et cetera in the middle of the night, in really rural areas like that. William Jevning has had many stories like that on his show. What they’re trying to do, is, get an idea of how many humans (if any) are inside the house. They fear us, but only in groups. But on our own, we’re an easy meal. And needless to say, all the trash that we leave around, and our pets/livestock, are easy meals as well.
I have had my house slapped three times. If they wanted to “get me” they could have many, many times.
@@BoringLife-iv9lo Well, you gotta understand that these things do fear us, to a degree. They understand that humans are pack hunters, we get our safety in numbers, and that if an individual or two are attacked and survive, then more angry humans will return later, looking to retaliate. They also understand that we rely on tool usage, whether that be the primitive stone and wood weapons we used back in the hunter-gatherer times, or the firearms we use now. They also are quite curious, and do like to observe us. But please don’t let that fool you into thinking that these creatures are your friend and are gonna sing Kumbaya with you around a campfire smoking a big ol joint and teaching you wisdom about life. They’re apex predators. If you don’t believe me, look at the folklore from the various Native American ethnic groups, in terms of how they describe them. Especially the ones from the Pacific Northwest who have had the most contact with them (Haida, Salishans, Siletz, Tillamook, Chinook, etc). They paint a very similar picture of these creatures, and it is not a very pleasant one. Treat them with caution and respect.
@@stoneylonesome4062Even when a person goes mysteriously missing, many square miles of territory see organized search parties, ATV activity, helicopter or small aircraft in some cases. To take a human brings eyes for an extended period. Even if they aren't involved....but why bring the inconvenience on to yourself? I think they understand that.

Compared to most other Bigfoot stories I’ve heard on this channel, this one sounds pretty tame to me. It sounds like they where just looking for “shiny” or “pretty” objects they thought looked nice. Hell, it doesn’t sound too dissimilar compared to what macaques do.
I don’t know a lot, but I do know that an 800 pound ape would be functionally as terrifying as a demon. I don’t think that’s a very bad assessment to be honest.
That was an incredible encounter. Looking forward to hearing and "seeing" the rest when you feel better. The illustrations that you use really sets this channel apart and helps a lot when trying to understand what happened.

you are one of the best story tellers on TH-cam!! your channel is very underrated Bob!! Always a very entertaining and mysterious story!! Love them!!
This is what the internet was intended for. Thank you Bob truely.
This is horrific.
My encounter was on a hiking trail in a national park on a family vacation when I was twelve, which is one thing. I've never been back and have no intention to.
But the idea of one lurking around one's home, sticking their arms in windows, trying to get in...that is a special kind of horror that reminds me of the Fouke Monster. I can scarcely imagine the feelings of terror, violation, invasion and intrusion, and lost sense of safety and security that must cause.
The reaction of the police here is as fascinating as it is disturbing.
For a similar set of ongoing encounters that terrorized a New Jersey family in that same era, I highly recommend A.H. Verge's "Nightmare in the Woods." It's a harrowing read.
Thanks as always for the food for thought, my friend!
Did you have a face to face encounter? I’d love to hear about it!

Me too!
I did. 1987 on a hiking trail in Rocky Mountain National Park. I was twelve and had wandered off from my family. I came to a part of the trail we'd already passed, and it was suddenly eerily quiet. I knew I wasn't alone and felt like prey. I didn't see anything until we locked eyes. I'll never forget his face as long as I live.
@@BinroWasRightdid you see one? A Sasquatch?
I know 2 separate incidents in Tennessee when a sasquatch took items from houses. First was in the 1970s, a small-ish one was seen with several items of clothing in its hands, it was crossing a road in the daylight and was seen by several workmen in a passing truck. The other was in 2010, a family had items taken from their backporch. This house was deep in the woods, with 2 large pit bull dogs that refused to stay outside at night.
They gift items too that have been taken. Coins, old doorknobs, etc
