- As I reflect on these last 9 years, I can’t help but think of the importance of celebrating every mile stone.
From day 1 to day 3,285, I have been celebrating every day I spend sober….
These days feel like a gift, one I took for granted, wasting away and getting high every chance I got…
These days are your reasons to live, every single one that you get to because addiction is not a death sentence….
It’s a chance to get sober and live again.

Congrats. I just surpassed my 10- year sobriety on 4/18/24. It was for weed though. Never done hard drugs. But weed affected me the way heroine affects other people. 4/18/14 I woke up and wanted to start my life sober and I never went back to the stuff. I got a college degree and now have my own place and am doing well for myself

Soo happy for you Novak I only wish I could do the same. I've been off all drugs for a while myself but still stuck on Methadone. I want nothing more than to be able to wake up every day without being sick and having to reach for my take home dose of Methadone. Hopefully one day I'll be free as well.
Slow taper… little bit every week and before you know it you’re almost off. Just have to start and go through it n

The undesirables??? Im sorry but guys like brandon novak and russel brand lose me. Im a junkie,they were junkies.....the difference is they were desired. Being a pro skateboarder flying round tbe world,partys groupies etc. The guys like me and the guys i use with aint known nothing but unemployment, crime,misery in hopeless small towns. I know its up to me to break out but the mathew perrys,elton johns,eric claptons,brandon novaks etc. I just dont relate to coz all ive ever known is failure and addiction...it got hold of me and my mental health so young it stopped me from getting anything. 50 yrs old still trying to beat a 35 yr old addiction to Everything except amphetamines and pcp (coz you dont get that shit in England 😂😂😂
