The critical curse is a myth made by the community, saying that any game that tries to remake critical adventure or critical strike will fall someway or another, popular ones usually fall this way. It is said that before EpicCritical died, he put a curse in his critical games which is why its called the critical curse.
All I can really say if the devs for critical legends isnt doing some shady shenanigans and if they actually pursue the game aka update it implement new ideas and overall nurturing the game I think they can possibly break the curse

Yeah, I'm a bit concerned about the Critical Legends, especially spent some hours to it and had fun with it. I managed to even get the Immortal Sword. But I am hoping for upcoming Countless Worlds to truly break the curse, even without 'critical' to its name lol.
Critical game without critical just countless worlds
I agree, I played it a day and had a blast with it, I got the Immortal Sword and leveled back up to max, and got every class in the game except for the unobtainables, I really hope the game doesn't drop, I've played pretty much every critical game and it's really sad to see them die just like that
Truly is, as someone who's been playing Critical strike for the last 7 months now only discovering the things behind it MAKES ME REALLY hope that this breaks through the curse

I was incredibly surprised at the combat mechanics of Critical Legends when I first played it. Thought it was gonna be the same as Critical Strike and was completely different.

What happened to each game
Critical Strike: Owner is permanently gone, game is popular recives no updates due to his absence, devs have handed down the game to newer devs which have continued the game and is still popular
Critical Adventure: Owner is permanently gone, no players
Critical Adventure Remastered: Owner stopped updating, dead game. He is now a prominent dev in another popular game called Balanced Craftwars Overhaul and adds some references in there (I make content in BCWO mainly now)
Critical Expedition: Don't know what happened to Owner, dead game
Critical Tower Defence: lasted 2020 to the end of 2023 where it had it's last update, still popular
Critical Legends: Owner resigned and there is another one, has gone through massive drama, exploiter situations and deaths, but has revived and currently the most popular Critical game so far
Iirc the owner of CE ran away with the money to buy a sword and didn't pay the dev team causing drama and the game to fall

Critical Legends actually grew extremely popular due to a couple of really small youtubers making content on the game. You, Abstract-RBX, TSL Studios, Zenitsu cL and many more. Although it's been dying down a little, after the data wipe I believe the devs may put out another update.
I guess you were right, game sits around 600-900 depending on the time of day and reaches 1000 during weekends
Not gonna lie thinking countless worlds is gonna go really far since it has a lot of originality and the map/enemy designs are so unique
yeah i have some faith in cw, i've grinded to max during the most recent stress test and even if it was grindy, it was pretty satisfying and fun to get late game weapons. i cant say that for most roblox rpgs
hope they dont close off the game to the public for an eternity though, people would lose interest
man they really need to put an anticheat for these games tho i saw people giving tokens, classes (even gamepass ones) for everyone and its just that on critical strike which i like that game most. And then the critical legends. You can change to any class you want, get every actives, passives. (event and black market ones too) They are just too op. They really need to put a good anti cheat on these games. I cant resist the hackers anymore.

To be honest all cs game will be be shut down due to stupid controversies and discontinuation
I find it impressive I played all of these games, one after another, and they were struck down, one after another.
There is another critical adventure game too which is in development still, probably the reason why you have not heard of it or why it isn't in here is cause they closed testing since around halloween. But it is really nice and the testing was really smooth and had some nice features, no class statues though, rather weapons you craft or obtain through killing monsters. Honestly the most detailed one I've seen, but then again I have not tried the legends one yet.

The battle mechanics are unique and fun and overall feels fun to play I hope this one will stay for as long as possible
Critical Legends is really fun but there's about a 50% chance its going to fall to the critical curse because I feel like there's a lack of endgame, they might be working on that but, just because it got 20k players doesn't mean it can drop, like heroes ultimatum dropped dead after about 6 days so....
0:59 Fun fact: ToucanCalex actually a creator of a game based on Cs: Size Strike which basically a free version of cs allows you to play multiple class without even buy them, now the game gone out of existence unknowingly. I still remembered me and my friend abuse owner with chrono lmao, until he delete the part where u plays as chrono. Ah memories.

I never knew about critical games until I found CS, and I never knew about the curse, so I thought the CS creator was just a normal creator and never thought this could or would be happening behind the scenes. So I wonder, will they ever update CS again?
They've sold their account, and the current owner of the EpicCritical account doesn't know how to script.
You should make a history of Critical Strike games, there were a ton of variants back then, like Deluxe, Origin, Lockdown and Classic
I have pretty much moved on when making videos on critical games cause I don't play critical games except cs anymore, and I've found success making videos on balanced craftwars instead
What I'm saying is since I stopped playing critical games, it'll be harder for me to make a video on them since I don't know much information on them, compared to balanced craftwars which is play basically everyday now
I hope you can understand me and its been a good 4 years of playing hundreds of different critical adventure and strike games
We also now got Critical strike 5.9.1 and it is the critical strike were going to get, I am really excited for it.

Good thing theres one critical rpg game called countless world that are being worked and gonna be released this year, it has pretty fresh class mechanics, maps, items and other stuff, hopefully it wont go wrong like other critical game.

I really think countless worlds is gonna break the "curse", the open testing was so good already everything seemed pretty balance and looked nice and had its own map
True, but some of the devs from there made CL2 and caused the hacker problem on CL, which basically ruined their reputation.
Yeah also they have not released the game, so its kind of a maybe yes, maybe no situation.
around like 2 or 3 days ago critical legends had to get moved to under the group page and re-released with a data wipe because hacks went ahead and gave everybody every item, class, and mod class, and hackers also nuked the discord.
It seems like "critical strike" wasn't really meant for the game title but for what happened to the game itself

The entire critical strike drama happened in like 2018 or so (when cs was still in v4 and a little before psa dropped)
I really miss the old days of Critical Strike before the drama, way back when the lobby was just a bunch of portals and everything was easy to grasp and play against.

Critical Legends has actually, now that exploiters have ruined the game, they had to reset everybody's data. Hopefully it doesn't go much farther than that though, and we continue to have updates on it.
it now has 20k+ daily players, i also remember playing it when it had 1k players i hope it wont succumb to the critical curse :(

btw critical legends had this glitch where it gave you everything (excluding levels and classes) + over a billion gold, the glitch isnt happening anymore but people still have the money and items
I played critical legends a lot but for some reason the game stopped saving any data I made Past lvl 100, any classes and lvls and items I would get would be gone when I leave the game, and when I come back it brings me back to my original save to when I was lvl 100. This made me end up quitting the game
same tho except i couldnt go past lv 27 for days
im already imagining a game called "the critical legend" or "venture through a critical time" where you just go through all the critical games but more terrifying and creepy like a abandoned city, its pretty much a story game but a RPG at the same time which is a very critical concept [see what i did there] .

To edit this: critical legends had a quite downfall and was close to being dead because the server got nuked/raided/hacked and the devs didn’t find the main game safe because of hackers being able to access mod classes so they moved the game. The reason why the game died was because they refused to do a data restore to anyone

Fun fact: Radi, the creator of Critical Legends is making a version 2 of his game "A Mystical Adventure."
I dont remember the name but there was a remake of Critical strike before the last major update went live (when the game almost died) that was called project something and I remember there being some drama about the owner of it also being a pede aswell
Critical Legends 2 is attempting to break the curse in a different way.
We have combined the forces of CA:R, CE, and CW, and with the powers of these people combined, they will topple the curse (and maybe CL).

Actually good news, Critical Tower Defense is still being worked on due to the creator wanting to come back to it. So it hasn't actually succumbed to the curse yet

Critical legends keeps on the curse path. The game got hacked and also the discord or something like that. or maybe the owner or devs became crazy, the discord of the game got fucked up and you get every item in the game everytime you are on a public server
It was sad seeing critical strike died (although there are still players so it doesn't feel that much of a dead game) since its literally one of the first game i played on roblox

Well critical legends fixed themselves, when I tried player some hacker gave everyone every single thing in the game and as you said the hacks from the old game still worked so the creators/devs decided to just copy and paste the game to a different game basicslly that hopefully prevents the hacks
Criticality is still alive we have hope because its an official continuation of cs 5.7.5
Critical legends was my first critical game and I’m hooked I’m sure I would have loved to play the earlier versions - critical curse came first tho

Critical legends had some sort of exploiter pandemic yesterday, in just about every server, people were given all items in the game and billions of money per second. Not only can I not even load into the game properly but private servers don’t work for me. Their discord server link has been invalid so there’s nothing I can really do.

critical tower defense is released from the critical curse, with the owner coming back to the game, rewriting most of the code and adding new features to the game that separates it from the usual tower defense with more updates to come

It's painful watching every critical adventure game rise and fall
third time trying to say this but im accidently clicking something for i leave the youtube so im lazy to make alot and just lost everything
i have a game idea : countless tower defense
system : mine, craft, level up class stats, enemies have effects like on the original like have fire resist, lucky drop etc, classes, buy weapons, lets talk about the craft system
craft system ( and buy ) : for your towers get a better weapon, u have to craft or buy then on the shop, upgrade dont change, if u have lucky (like me) u can get a perfect weapon, perfect weapons, are rare, (theres also sharp, etc) but they make up for that by making every stat like defense, dmg, etc be stronger, lets talk about classes now the first will be bounce
bounce class (swords only) : a class that when its waiting idle it spawns orbs (the max orbs can spawn are 6) they despawn (despawn time : 30s) more orbs, more dmg, lets talk about the stack now
stack class (bows only) : when attack the enemies, it spawn arrow orbs, more arrow orbs, more dmg, (the max its 12 like on the original) the despawn its 60s
link class (shields only) : theres 2 orbs, the dash orb, and the normal orb
dash orb : it dont do any dmg but if theres a dash orb with a normal orb, all towers on his range gets a link shield (it decrease bosses stuns by 0.25x) u can get 4, if u get 4 and the tower gets another dash orb, every towers on his range gets a shield that gives dmg buff (dont give dmg buff on original sadly :C) and that shield reduce bosses stuns by 1.5x (better the shield, the better the reduce stun time)
normal orb : do dmg and thats it
samurai (idk how its actually called) (katanas only) : it have 3 orbs, red, yellow, and normal
normal : it does dmg, but if the tower gets 3 of then and theres a red orb, it will spawn 3 yellow orbs that do dmg (i will not tell here what is the dmg increase)
red : only can do dmg when your tower gets 1/3 orbs
yellow : it increase the normal tower dmg by 4x
berserker (great swords only) : when the tower gets 4 orbs, it gets on range mode, also on rage mode spawns a heal orb, (on original it heals u because on berserker mode it dmg u but it do alot of dmg)
heal orb : towers on his range gets unstun
what happends if his rage mode finish but u didnt collect the heal orb : he gets stun for 3s
rage orb : when on rage his orbs turns into rage orbs, they increase his dmg by 4.5x
(im too lazy to show all the mechanics i just want to show that)

I played CE, and it was fun, but couple of weeks later, the game just died, and then, comes critical legends, the games not bad, i hope it don't die like the last CE
I play critical strike and its really fun, but its really sad to see the curse and stuff
The critical curse may strike at critical legends sooner or later, the reason I say so is because the game is really going downhill with bad updates, expensive stuff, grindy things (like who tf would want to sit there grinding 250 of an item from a boss with 100m hp), and bad owners banning people for the stupidest reasons, also the fact that they don't take any good suggestions from the community which really ruins the game a lot, not to mention HOW UNBALANCESD THE GAME IS. Seriously tho, Critical Legends' downfall may come soon in maybe around 2024-2026 and ill be surprised if its still up by then.
(They are also extremely money hungry, thats why the drop rates are so low and the requirements are so high, so that they get the premium payouts of premium players)
I've grown a slightly bad opinion on the game and other fellow youtubers who used to make videos in cl, mainly due to how the dev team used to be friendly and nice and went to money and popularity hungry, I hope they learn from this mistake soon

Critical legends has thousands of exploiters now and the discord got raided by exploiters
the most hackers are smart,they give items to everyone to get them banned instead,and theres something like a corona virus,i got caught to it.whenever i play at puplic,i start getting even the pumpkin class item,which could get me banned if i dont use private.
