Hi Andrea. Many thanks for the comment. Yes, this music certainly hits the calm spot! Music can indeed be a great medicine. In fact, I briefly thought about re-naming my channel "The Organ Doctor" but that could go horribly wrong ...
Paul so true what you say in the description. That was beautifully calming after such a horribly turbulent time. Morricone does indeed capture the mood and transport us to a higher plane. My 7 years of pre college organ tuition were on the Willis at Hereford Cathedral and the timbre of the flue-work is unmistakable plus some fantastically atmospheric registration choices at the end. Bravo Paul 👏🏻 G
With an estimated 10 million copies of this Morricone masterpiece sold, this is one of the best selling scores worldwide. Your organ arrangement is beautiful, Paul - and what an amazing sound at the 3.28 mark (almost like the nightingale effect with pipe air blown through water!). The perfect medicine to start healing the hurt of recent times: bravo!
Hello Graham. Many thanks! It's wonderful what Morricone achieved with so few notes in mellow pieces such as this. And then, of course, at the other end of the scale he gave us the soundtrack for The Good, The Bad And The Ugly. A true Master!
Such a beautiful calming piece of music, you are absolutely right about us needing calm and a time to breathe and think.Thankyou Paul.xxxxxxx
