Joanne Denney insatiable was a fantastic song. But more a album track or maybe a third or fourth single of a album. But not a debut single to launch her. The same with "go to work" good song but more a album track or a third fourth single release after maybe two good singles. I think she fantastic, but Cheryl picks the right songs and goes with the sound that will sell. Nadine could be a lot bigger

This proof AGAIN that Nadine's vocals were the band success. Something New original track was only her voice...That's why got on number 2 on UK Singles Charts unlike Beautiful Cause You Love Me that even couldn't get it a top ten hit.
Not to sound like I'm hating on Nadine (because I'm not!), but her solo material can't even chart... so I don't really understand your argument? Getting a top ten isn't down to an individuals vocals. Each member bought something to the group and it is their UNITED talents that brought them success!
Your original argument was that girls aloud songs only do well because Nadine "carries" them vocally. This isn't true. People buy into the package. The only reason BCYLM didn't do very well is through lack of promotion. Any GA song would chart well with promotion regardless of vocals or who sings lead.

See for yourself, Long Hot Summer, Something Kinda Ooh, Biology, Whole Lotta History, See The Day, Wake Me Up , Every Now and Then, Something New, Call The Shots (especially this one), Untouchable. All some of these songs vocally they need a powerful and strong, strong voice to have huge success. I'm not saying the other girls voices are useless, I love Girls Aloud as a whole. But the idea in the beginning was make Nadine into the lead singer in the group, which was really necessary. People do not give her the credit because apparently Cheryl was the one making more success.
on behalf of me and the girls aloud/nadine fans please can you get the studio version if possible of Something New/Go To Work, there is a version that surfaced online but its really not to a good standard and its a tad patchy in places

This sounds good. But I prefer it as a GA song and not a possible solo for Nadine, it needs the extra power from the other girls, they add another element, and extra dynamic. I love Cheryl’s voice as well as Kimberly’s in the main, final track. And everyone knows Nadine was the lead vocalist, that’s not debatable as she had the strongest voice.
Nadine has a great voice granted, but I prefer the original as it sounds like a complete song. I am not saying the original sounds the same, but this song you can't really dance to because it has sections that are jolting. But the talent is not the problem, its how the song was structured.

Well, there was also the issue that Beautiful Cause You Love Me was a shit song and would remain so regardless of the vocalist.
