"Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson has been mocked for praising Russian grocery stores.
During Carlson's recent trip to Moscow to interview Russian President Vladimir Putin, he stopped off at a local grocery store to see how prices compare now during its war against Ukraine versus when it was part of the Soviet Union.
Carlson was filmed gleefully picking out a cart full of groceries, which included wine from Crimea, a Ukrainian peninsula that was annexed by Russia in 2014."

Cenk is Hamas supporter 🤡 traitor. 🇺🇸. He hates Tucker, you wish Putin will interview cenk the turd . Mexico has a low salary in the economy & gas is $5.50 gallon ⛽. Tucker didn't lie you did. Low Income salary countries have experienced products . O'Biden destroyed all the country's economy, not Russia, Russia is really cheap. Go to Mexico & investigate your lies & theory!!
Jackson White has a lower intelligence than an orangutan, while the other two aren't much better. Hilarious to hear them calling someone else stupid. I laughed through the whole video. The commentary was almost as cringeworthy as Tucker's video. Get off the platform you losers.
Not a fan of Tucker but this video shows how corrupt The Young Turks is!
Desperate because everyone thinks you are morons.
I grew up in the Soviet Union. Moscow is not Russia just like Paris is not France. If you want to see real Russia, go east of the Urals.
Exactly! Literal propaganda
I'd love to see the different parts of Russia. Most people know that there's much more to Russia than just one of its largest cities.
@@chimichangacharlesTucker Carlson is the biggest pusher of Russian government propaganda. Tucker is constantly talking crap about America but then says such wonderful things about ruthless dictators. I can't believe that we've come to a point in America where a third of the country has become pro-fascist because of the lies of Fox Not-News and a crook like Trump. Our WW2 Veterans must be turning in their graves.

A toenail clipping, a few lizard tails, and some rejected Shekel Coins with Trump's head on it , minted in Israel that can be melted down to make ammo. A food card with rations is probably what most get, rent already deducted. State apartments. Most live in government owned apartments.
Denmark here ...I earn around $255 to $360 a day, depending on the hours and day of the week, and my present part-time job as a night watch with no degree required (though I do have one) is nothing fancy. In comparison a security guard with 4-5 years experience like me, earn 23,400 rubles = around $253 a month, So I earn more in a day than they do in a month.
It doesn't make sense to compare how much you spend for buying products. You should calculate your % of costs from your average monthly salary. Ex, in the US you earn 5000$ but you spend 20% of you income for grocery. In Russia you earn 1000$ for example, and if you also spend 20% or even less, then your costs for groceries are the same in both countries. So there is no sense to compare incomes and prices. You should compare percentage of costs from your salary for basic things. Same for internet payments, rent payments, etc.
Notice that if the economy in Russia was functioning, perhaps there would be lots of people in the stagecraft prop grocery store? They lock up Russian civilians for saying anything factual about Russia's failed economy. If McDonald's can't operate in Russia to make money due to exchange rates of the worthless ruble, what better ran company in the world is an example of Putin's incompetence?
This is not even "Russian"...this is the French supermarket chain AUCHAN!! The equivalent of Tucker saying "Great Russian flame-broiled burger" because he went to a Burger King there!
how dumb some can be it baffles me...Do actual jurnalism
The reason why he only spent $104 on groceries in Russia is because of the exchange rage. What I'm getting at is that the US dollar is worth more than the Ruble. Now you could say, "but it's still only $104.00". Yeah, but keep in mind that the average salary in Russia is $1,125.00 a month so $104.00 is roughly 10% of your monthly salary. Not to mention that was $104.00 for one week's worth of food for one person. So you'd spend rougly $400.00 a month on food, which means that would be 35% of your monthly salary just on food. That leaves you with $725 for rent, water, electricity, heating, etc. Yeah, try surviving on that.
Life in Russia is not glamorous and a so-called Conservative like Carson should know this.
It’s more than just number crunching. If America is doing so much better, then why are more and more families relying on food banks with big American paychecks? Russia performs better in PPP, where people can live a decent life, but maybe not of luxury. Whereas in the US, the wage gap is increasingly ridiculous. You’re either having caviar or canned tuna.

Following this same logic, Tucker would come to Portugal and be amazed by how little he would pay for groceries. He "forgets" that people's average salary dictates how cheap or how expensive those groceries are for them. I would prefer to do my shopping in India, so much cheaper.
In Austria or Germany it will be even cheaper with quality guarantee.
US prices were cheaper too when we produced our own food but sadly most food in now processed in China and sent back because major companies sold out to China. The government actually paid farmers NOT to farm their land here. Big corporations are pushing out privately owned farms/farmers. Food prices keep rising. My country used to be a communist country (Romania). Now we are part of the EU and we are still fighting to eliminate corruption. Our supermarkets are the ones you typically find in western and southern Europe + farmer’s markets filled with local products. My point is even in my country (relatively close to Russia) the remnants of communism times are fewer and far between (at least in Transylvania). How the fuck can an American 🇺🇸 fawn over such displays of poverty in supermarkets and pretty much everywhere around him?!? What regular Americans need to understand is that if this became their everyday reality would also mean poverty. Would mean regression in every way possible from what they get to say on the street to what they drive, what they eat, what they learn. I do not think they really wanna live the Russian lifestyle.

It's less than many people think when they hear about their salaries, but more than us still. Just not as much more as people think.
$100.00 for groceries 🤣 in a country where lots of people make $150.00 - $200 a month - not too shabby 😂😂😂

Tucker simping for Russia is one of the most pathetic things online.
You should still vote for Trump tho.
So no one should even hear the Russian side of the story? But you're not the one who wants war right?? lol
Simping for a failing America and West instead of wanting to repair and change it is the most pathetic thing ever.
Tucker arrived to the simp Russia party 3 years too late.
I bet Tucker would be fangirling too if he came to Kazakhstan's capital Astana or even Almaty and learned that a liter of Coca Cola costs 1 dollar and that bread costs a quarter.
Think anyone from the states would considering a liter of Coca Cola here costs $3 and a Bread depending the brand ranges from $1 to $7
I think you guys just don’t like the idea of having the courage to interview Putin, maybe because you can’t do it? I wonder.
Tucker Carlson doesn't even understand the concept of wages. Money comes from the little plastic cards that your parents give you. You get all the money you'll ever need and more when you turn 18, and then you get millions more that you don't need after you get your first job as a famous TV propagandist.
Or you don't understand anything??
Tucker doesn't understand money yet he understands Americans are struggling while the left tries to convince everyone Biden is doing great with the economy 😂🤡
The average salary is 1300 $ in moscow
You have no idea what you are talking about. Congrats.
Yet you trust and listen to millionaire and sometimes billionaire corporation CEOs and politicians to stay in touch with your situation? Lol. They fly their private jets to see the Super Bowl while they tell you to save money by cutting your Netflix and eating bugs and using reusable bags lol
The fact that I can scroll endlessly and not find the original video without negative commentary says it all.
America does everything they accuse Russia of being: talk about glass houses!
The fact that in 1945 you could not find a single positive article about Hitler says it all!!!!
Low grocery price should be basic human rights.
All the products he chose costs the average Russian citizen half a weeks pay. If what he bought was the equivalent of $104 US then their citizens only make $200 a week. I make that in a day and a half at my job.
The average pay would be closer to $1,100 U.S.D per month.
Are we comparing Russian food prices to American prices ? If you do that... you have to compare Russian purchasing power to the average person's income.
I hate to tell you but 99% of Americans don’t give the slightest sh*t how much Russians pay for their groceries. Even discussing this gives the traitor credibility.
Ooohhhh... Tucker should have gone 2 hours outside of Moscow and shopped in that local. Then he could show us if other Russians have equal access to the same products.
There are literally countless videos online too. I can just watch a Bald and Bankrupt video and see what grocery stores in rural Russia look like and how people live.
I'm Russian from the outback. You are very naive.
The same shops, just smaller. Diffrence is - people are less paid outside of moscow. Minimal wedge in russia is 220 us dollars. In smaller cities people get 500 - 700 us dollars sallory

Got it guys : we make more money therefore it’s totally okay to overcharge us on groceries 5X the worth.
It is out of touch he thinks those veggies and bread would cost ~$400. I get twice that and it's less than $200.
While Tucker is doing some grocery shopping in russia, russian citizens who are mourning Navalny's death are getting arrested by the dozens...
The Moscow underground is impressive architecturally, certainly unique.

It doesn't matter. He was reading the Kremlin script.
He probably just spent a year of Russian wages on a weeks worth of food there.
And that is why all Russians died of hunger years ago...

No, he spent money that is very little money for the average Russian.
@@AnnedolfFrankler911 Average monthly income for a Russian is $787. What Tucker bought in a week is 58% of the average weekly Russian wage. Compare that to the 11.3% Americans spend weekly. Americans earn more than Russians, and spend less on groceries.

He then lost in 2020, and tried to overturn that loss by appointing alternate electors to vote instead of the legitimate democratic electors.

Wait, putting in a deposit on the grocery cart is a deterrent to the homeless taking them? How about it's an incentive for those inconsiderate douche nozzles who leave their carts out in the middle of the parking lot?
