In this video, I will show you how I have built a 5000 mAh Power Bank by using 2 x 18650 Li-Ion battery. The voltage and capacity of each cell are 3.7V and 2500 mAh.
I will also show you how to make the 3D printed enclosure for the power bank.

That power switch will definitely help with the battery self discharging from the boost converter

The schematic in the video shows the rocker switch between the charger module and the battery itself. How does the battery charge with the rocker switch turned off? If the rocker is off, the connection to the battery is broken. The LED would only light if the micro USB is plugged in and/or if the rocker switch is on when the micro USB is disconnected.. At least that's what it looks like. Did I miss something in the schematic?

It is just for additional safety, technically it is not required.

Each battery is rated for 2500mAh. Two are connected in parallel, so the total capacity is 5000mAh
