First the English settlers came to the America shore (Most Americans till the late 1800s had English ancestry) , then after the establishment of the thirteen colonies, the US saw an immigration of Irish, Scottish, Scotch-Irish, Dutch, German, Swedish, Polish, other European countries, and all over the world! First culture adoption is you will stop taking care of elderly parents back at home. They struggle and die blessing you a good life, most of the NRI s don't have time visit when their parent passed away simply no time, some go for two weeks. While your dealing with your parents your 18 year old kids leave home and never come back, they adopt local culture to visit on Thanks giving and Christmas holidays. You have one last chance to go to their wedding if they invite you.
