Good to see they trust the end user with proper EQ equaliser. I have B&) headphones and they have this circular shape you move about a circular area and you can make it bigger and smaller, its daft
@@KitGuruTech I have the A80 Airpulse. I dont think they got very well reviewed compared to the bigger ones like the S3000MKII but they sound great to me
Edifier are great, really like their products. my last two sets of speakers from them have lasted a long time. my brother has my first set, still going strong. quality company
I was fortunate enough to get the S3000MKII earlier in 2024 on a sale and they still blow me away They dont go mega loud but the quality and bass is so punchy and clean
They do some great speakers, never used them but seen so much positivity about them. We dont have local stores that stock them, so the only way to try them is to put the money down from Amazon and if they are crap, send them back.
I like the brand - seen a lot of positive reviews on Amazon from customers - not a fan of in ear buds however, always hurt my ears and give me hearing issues for a while after
I liked the honesty, I thought the end was going to be more positive, but you seemed to address both cons and pros. Often these reviews for Edifier seem like paid crap when I watch them from influencers.
A guy in work bought these for 85 quid last week on Amazon, I think the price went up a bit with a voucher, but its still solid for the money. really good sound, bit bass heavy to me
Edifier spend too much time on youtube with influencers in a bedroom, good they have the confidence to get Kitguru to look at them, as I trust you guys
My biggest issue is that i use my buds at the gym and it's so difficult to know if they will stay in your ears once you get sweaty on the treadmill. It sounds like a joke, but the size and matetial need to be spot on. Wonder if I can find these in any retail stores?
Generally great products from an audio point of view, but deals are strangely sparse on the ground over her. I'm on an Edifier emailer once a month from the States and the deals over there are great. Wish they did them locally 😢
Thanks for the informative review. Where I am, they're selling for the exact same price as the Edifier Neobuds Pro 2 and I just can't figure out which ones sound better.
I lost my bloody apple buds - I think my dog might have ate them , as I found the case. these things are nightmare to find. lost so many of them over my life.
Companies need to be called into some legal requirement to explain what the ai is doing and if it’s actually artificial intelligence and not just a standard piece of code. It’s like saying you dog has five legs when it’s really only got four like most other dogs.
Yeah I notice the volume on earbuds now is pretty crap. I hacked my Sony ones with a firmware patch you can get online. Its law now I think to never got over a specific db
Why would you need AI to monitor audio. Its not learning or improving or doing anything complicated - then again dont ASUS use AI on their webcams. pretty much the same thing
Problem I have had for years with earbuds, and its not a nice topic - is earwax. My ears just create so much as I love the volume high, I think the reason edifier dont allow them to go high is to protect themselves under law as many countries are quite hard on it now. I dont get the same problem with over head normal headphones, so just stick with them now
wireless charging is good, I think they are really going for apple, but more PC android audience. makes the most sense to me. they are using tech that Apple doesnt support.
Noise reduction is great, but my ears go crazy if I do that passthrough thing when people talk, really freaks me out. I always turn that off from the start
The app looks really good for the phone, but i use an iPhone so its clearly edifier going after the android market. which makes sense as Apple dominate their market
(W)ith added Ai. How to guarantee I won't buy your tat. The next EKWB/NZXT/Corsair in the tech space? Good audio is an art; it requires Man in the middle; at the end; and at the beginning. Edifier can shove it down their... ear, Bud. ;-)
Typical apple, make their earbuds with proprietary codec support so no one else can make them without their approval. These look great to me, not a fan of white earbuds, screams nob to me

I love edifier as a brand, I bought some of their speakers last year for my PC they are really such good value and great sound quality for the money.
Nice! Which ones did you go for?
Mat
@@KitGuruTech I have the A80 Airpulse. I dont think they got very well reviewed compared to the bigger ones like the S3000MKII but they sound great to me
They do make a nice set of PC speakers
Edifier are great, really like their products. my last two sets of speakers from them have lasted a long time. my brother has my first set, still going strong. quality company
Their speakers are great. Agree.
They are quality products, love their speakers - really good drivers for controlling boom
Active noise cancelling is a must. 48db isnt bad.
Definitely - I miss it when I don't have it
Mat
Edifier do some great hardware, really rate them highly - super brand

Edifier - are brilliant, love my S351DB - wouldnt trade them for the world.
I liked the AI rant, finally someone who gets the nonsense. My phone has AI, and its Apple. but its not out yet. So it doesnt really
Its cool for photos and videos but it cant be true AI without some online cloud attachment can it?
Well most of the ai I have seen is downloading data from the net. At least the good apps I’ve used do that.
Good honest content Mat, well done
I tink these look really good value for money - they tick a lot of boxes for me. going to treat myself I think. thanks Mat !
Enjoy! Which colour are you going for?
Mat
Game mode for bluetooth - good idea, but its not going to be quick enough, doubt that

There is something about the gleeful approach of influencers that puts me right off any product that they are pushing. Zero credibility.
I got B&O headphones recently, love the iphone app , its polished.
Bose and Sony noise cancellation is impossible to beat
Ive been after a decent pair of these for a while may have to give them a try.
Default sound on most of these is bass heavy, but its easy to change with the EQ (if they give you one) - the edifier app looks decent.
thanks Mat, excellent review, I am getting used to your accent now. just taken me half a year
Great to hear!

I thought Mats head was going to explode on that AI rant. count to 10. deep breath.
Agree with Mat on this one
Edifier know their stuff, they bought STAX - all sorts of experts in that company for audio.
I bet gaming with bluetooth was a right mess, even with the latest standard they are using.
lol, they massively generating frames in spyderman type games, mankind ended at this point and there is no hope 🤡

Great headphones. Bargain for the spec. Can’t often say that. ❤
Is leo still around? miss his reviews - want to see more techie stuff
Nicely done mat. You were fair and even banded 🏆
Thanks !

Had that --- really annoying 🤬
I have the exact same problem when I go bouldering, it's like they need to be taped to our heads to stay on 😂
nice rack of keyboards on your wall - amazing looking mat ! Any jobs going?!
Generally great products from an audio point of view, but deals are strangely sparse on the ground over her. I'm on an Edifier emailer once a month from the States and the deals over there are great. Wish they did them locally 😢
Oh a lower price would be great!
Do you remember where the sign up was? Was there a UK option?
The App looks good, what does the game mode do? just reduce latency I assume ?
Great review mat. 👍🏻
Thanks for the informative review. Where I am, they're selling for the exact same price as the Edifier Neobuds Pro 2 and I just can't figure out which ones sound better.
Glad I could help!
Awesome review!
Is the square deisgn of them to stabilise them when they are in your ears or purely for aesthetic? Does it balance better in the ear?
Can you get them to support any lossless with Apple?
I dont get that price, is there a special link?
Might not be super loud at 100% but if they have decent noise cancelling it doesnt matter.
Would have liked to have seen the white version too in the review.
My only problem with these sort of devices is that it’s impossible to change the batteries. It’s just landfill when they run out.
Are they available in other colours?
Do they flatten multichannel down to 2.0?
What I want to know is where have all of my ear bud extra tips going? Somewhere in my house must be a pile of them that I've not come across yet.
I lost my bloody apple buds - I think my dog might have ate them , as I found the case. these things are nightmare to find. lost so many of them over my life.
They go to the same place that my guitar picks do
Mat
Does anyone know the definition of artifical intelligence now? It seems just a buzzword to try and push sales so people can say they have AI something
Its an odd one to push on people especially considering that not everyone actually wants AI
Companies need to be called into some legal requirement to explain what the ai is doing and if it’s actually artificial intelligence and not just a standard piece of code. It’s like saying you dog has five legs when it’s really only got four like most other dogs.
It’s all a con.
Good price for a decent product line may have to get a pair for the missus.
She will be happy
You really cant go wrong with a pair of quality earbuds
Good price point for that spec. No apple support might hurt the sales
They seem more targeted to android for sure.
I wish I could move to android as it has so many cool features.
Noise cancelling is just magic.
Yeah I notice the volume on earbuds now is pretty crap. I hacked my Sony ones with a firmware patch you can get online. Its law now I think to never got over a specific db
Those google earbuds are the ones I use. they are well made a pretty good
Pricing is good, but not for me
That pinch feature doesnt bother me as it’s harder to accidentally trigger.
the wireless charging at this price is exceptional. That is not usually offered
Yes it’s a great feature
Of all the things I want ai in. Earbuds would be right below ‘Chocolate cake’.
Great review, but i feel like wireless charging is overrated - just give me a bigger battery instead
I forget to charge mine all the time, bigger battery would save me so frequently!! 😂
Lol did Mat ever eat the little packet of crystals?
It’s good they managed to create a low latency game mode but cant see these as a replacement for proper gaming headsets.
Edifier make nice stuff sort of a higher end PC audio.
I thought you need to have banks of GPUs to do AI? I cant see how they fit these into the earphones.
They shouldn’t have set the default EQ as bass heavy should have gone for a more transparent sound.
Bit annoying apple doesnt support LDAC. Why do they always have to be so difficult.
Apple, ripping customers off since day 1
I think you went too soft on ai there but at least the buds seem pretty good. Certainly nailed the price for them.
I don’t think they look very nice but I thought initially they looked dirty but it looks like a glittery finish. Which looks kinda cheap to me.
Thanks for the thoughts
LOL Mat has a point.
quality brand, a lot of time for them.
Whats wrong with simple wired earbuds apart from looking really old fashioned.
A lot of people don’t want cables
Why would you need AI to monitor audio. Its not learning or improving or doing anything complicated - then again dont ASUS use AI on their webcams. pretty much the same thing
Half the price of apple’s versions. go figure.
Nice design these but not sure if I would trade AirPods in.
They wouldn’t work great on Apple. They use a different system too
15 hour flight. I dont think I’m ever going to visit that area of the world.
Good point! 8 hours and less ear-weight would be more appealing.
I am not sure if I would want AI that close to my brain. What if it interfaces with it?
Lol

It probably has little to do with volume and more the fact that you have a foreign body lodged in your ear canal.
Still has the same problem every ear bud has. The back of the sofa always seems to attract one of them.
They can play a sound to help locate them :) If only guitar picks could do that too
Mat
@@KitGuruTech Everything needs to be able to play a noise when it's gone down the back of the sofa! Including AirTags that have gone flat.

These things have moved on so much since the original bluetooth ear buds that looks like you had a usb stick on your ear.
Are these still popular ? I’ve clearly gotten old.
I can sense you like AI mat, sitting on the fence there, say what you mean man !
I like slightly bulkier earbuds as any smaller I find them difficult to put in my ears with my banana fingers.
Something is wrong with your unit. On about 24% volume is comfortable for me on a PC or 10/30 on android. Around 50% is really uncomfortable.
That’s interesting !

15 hours battery life is pretty decent.
Noise cancelling is good, but it can make my ears pop at times.
Me too does it create some weird pressures to cancel the noise?
My new tv has ai. Apparently. At least I saw it on the box as I was opening it
