There is too much complacency in tackling illegal mining activities.

Is not complacency but rather a fail to really do what needed to be done, most of these operators are the so called big men so is very hard to hit the nail the nail on the head as rightly as it should. Ghana our leadership is a failure !!!!!

These water bodies are so devastating. Ghana’s future is on the line. The government must get rid of all the Chinese in Ghana whose main aim is to doing galamsey. Implement strong structures and stringent regulations to combat this conundrum. Those behind this must be investigated and exposed.

Not government banning Chinese. It is the government officials and some chiefs that are doing this damage.

On point. Chinese cannot come to Ghana unless they were brought in by unscrupulous Govt officials. Blame lies with those benefiting from illegal mining - govt officials and local Chiefs.

Destruction of the Ghanaian ecological environment, use of mercury will come back to haunt Ghanaians down the line. Very sad.
