I still think Konami got the licences to some unknown unaired cartoon that simply never made it beyond the pilot stage. Way to many weird characters, lore, and backstory for just a one-off arcade game.
Watched a playthrough of this. The music is awesome, the graphics are gorgeous, your characters are OP as fuck, and it's short and satisfying. This was not a cheap quarter-eater back then. This was Konami wanting to show you an unforgettable, fun power fantasy.
I miss this game. I would love to see a proper reboot, or proper remaster. And by proper reboot "me growling" I don't mean a stupid pachinko machine, or a barely functioning game filled with invasive microtransactions.

I got to play this game for the first time at Galloping Ghost Arcade in Brookfield, IL. I can't believe that I had never gotten to play it before since it came out when I was 6 years old. Too bad that they had the volume turned down on it though because the game and it's soundtrack are both EPIC!!!!

it took me ages to find the game that had the exploding furries in it, it was such a weird grotesque visual I could not forget it since being a kid
