David Escimilla is one of the best screamers I have ever heard. This song is nothing but proof, and the fact that he sounds exactly like this live is what makes him one of the best.
Andy's vocal from the EP + Dave's screams in this version = Perfection
the girl part in this is hauntingly amazing.
The old version + the old girl vocals were better in my opinion... I wish Crown The Empire left their EP material alone. Can't fix what's not broken. Wish they took that saying into consideration before recreating their old work.

But what really annoys me is the fact you are bitching they remade something. You still got the old ep to listen to, and then there is the new one. how the hell is that a problem? The reissue is great and doesnt have auto tune everywhere.
Knightmare The cleans sound monotone which makes this boring. The beginning sounds lifeless, same with the chorus.

This version is a lot cleaner. Sounds more like he's actually into the singing and the screaming. In my opinion this is a lot better than the EP version.
andy isnt doing most of the screaming in this one, they rerecorded it with David

Andy voice gives thier sound so much depth. I don't know what it is about it but dang it's awesome.

i think crown the empire has gotten better the further they go into their career. like their sound has improved and all that.
Dave is the sickest screamer in this genre at the moment. He is even better live IMO. He can hit any scream at any time and hold it for what seems like forever. Dude is a monster. Andy sounds incredible live as well. Andy does this low scream live that adds to Dave's perfect crisp screams and just makes any breakdown so brutal. I would highly recommend seeing them live if you haven't already.

Steven Rozeboom Hranica is losing his screams well atleast it sounds like on the record. Sam Carter isn't too bad but I'd prefer Dave and Mike over Sam.
I love David Just mikes vocals haven't changed to much since the beginning.

Dave sounds like he's trying way harder on his screams in these songs. It sounds like he's putting so much more strength behind his vocals rather than just doing the screams. They sound pretty fuckin' amazing.

I personally love the reissue over the original because i like Andrews clean vocals and runs now as opposed to before when he used a lot of auto tune. Its so much more impressive to hear his voice naturally truly proving his vocal talent.

At first I decided that the original was way better. I mean, why would they ruin the perfection of the original EP? After much thought and listening to every song a lot, I think the reissue is better. The production quality is way better. and Andy is singing in the range that they do it live. They lower it for live performance anyway right? So, Im a fan. and I am jamming hard to these songs. Plus Dave sounds SO SICK!
honestly I didn't expect them to pull of a re-vamp of voices you cant get that song a second time its a song you just cant change because it was too good so I don't criticize this version .Overall got the reissue like 5 minutes after it came out been rocking it whole day REPLAY REPLAY REPLAY!!!

The chorus would be tight for a movie
Voices off of Limitless was and is one of my favorite songs of all time. All of the reissues sound like half speed and no heart was put into them. They seem like they didn't give a shit whether or not they did it, as long as they got the reissue out and got their paycheck
The screams in this version are incredible, and I really like the different pitches they use, but really, how much harder can you sing than limitless? Give this song its own merits and you might like it too

I really like this version. Better vocals than the original. No fake sounding vocals, and the screams hit a lot harder. Especially near the end. Good job.
For everyone saying that this is shit and Andy doesn't sound the same... Look, if he sounded exactly the same, there would be no reason for a re-issue (which if you listen to Lead Me Out of the Dark.. You know he still got it). Besides, this is great for people that haven't got lucky enough to hear CTE yet and can now buy them both the EP and full album for only $10... Also, this means they are definitely going to play the songs in Concert with Dave the Sickest screamer out there. This shit is refreshing and CTE is and will always be the best. (In My Opinion)

actually it was re-recorded. They just didn't change anything about it. But he re-sang it.. His highs are a tad cleaner and the piano is deeper in this one.

Everything about Crown the Empire is the same since since Limitless came out with the exception of the addition of Dave. Lowering the key of the songs does not make them refreshed.

I notice alot of people are saying the reissue "sucks" compared to the original. Of course everyone is titled to their own opinion, but I think some of you guys are just saying that because this is something different, and you're too used to how the original EP sounds like. When you listen to the reissued version more and more, you'll realize the production quality, and overall skill of this band has improved greatly since they put out the EP version.

I like that in this version they fixed the whole lisp thing in the intro, but I HATE that they replaced the beginning cello part that played in the background of the original with some back-and-forth techno beat. It makes the song seem so much less infamous.

Agreed that Mike Hranica (yes especially with his screams on 8:18. Which is not "Mike's losing his voice" it's "Mike is putting emotion into his screams") And Dave from CTE are the best screamers at the moment
You clench your throat slightly while screaming high pitched to sound like Mike. Its just a technique that's un-used, hes not that fucking good, I like TDWP, but he really isn't near the best.

Are you high? Slightly refined? They re-recorded the whole song and changed the vocals entirely. Then mixed it entirely differently. I was around when they dropped the original, and I remember hearing this version and still thought the original was better. I'm only here because I wanted to compare them again.

This version is so much heavier than their original and I love it.
Andy sounds so much better. Daves screams gave this song even more depth. The guitars and drums sound phenomenal. Then the girl part sounds so creepy and perfect. GOOD JOB GUYS.

Andy sounds like he doesnt even want to sing the song. The orginal is still better despite having worse quality all around. Raw emotion and passion will always beat fancy bells and whistles

Honestly they did all these remakes to show how good of a screamer David is. All these songs sound better than the orginals because David is honestly a better screamer than Andy is/was. And since the autotune is gone they sound more mature and honestly are one of the better bands on rise records now.
If they took the intro and girl's vocals from this and combined it with the original version, it'd be absolutely perfect.
