For those wondering, this is from the series Amazing Stories, Episode 3. This episode, in particular, is called Dynoman and the Volt. The show is only available on TH-cam or Apple TV to my knowledge.
@@SrgntBlitz actually, I just looked it up he was I’ve been wanting to know what the show was called because I watched the episode with my mother a couple years ago
This is amazing. There are too many movies that give kids super powers and they have to save the world, so his grandpa getting the power is such a breath of fresh air
Well realistically speaking, he lived long enough to earn in ways that align with who he is. A kid having super powers is realistic, but it cannot supersede what someone older has learned and earned during the Time that they’ve been alive.
yeah, those are very rare, my favorite it's a Flash Gordon-esque comic, where the protagonist was shunned by his family and town as the crazy guy, because while he was saving another planet, for his family and friends on Earth he disappeared for a year or something like that and then reappeared telling unbelievable stories. I can't remember the name of it though, I found it online
The current ultimate Spiderman run is great because of that. He takes a choice to take the powers he was originally meant to get by being bitten but it didn't happen when it was supposed to. So instead of having a Peter get bit as a teen and becoming a hero by having great power thrust upon him we get Older Pete who's married MJ has kids and makes the active choice to take In those great powers and the great responsibility that comes with them!
My grandfather died at 80 years old, his last year was filled with a rapid form of cancer. But at 79 he was still out working full grown men in their 20s,30s, and 40s. That generation was basically superheroes.
@Watermelonkat936 Its this song specifically. Like, there's literally free music generators out there that will make copyright free music for you, and these people STILL choose to use this same shitty song.
unfortunately, he died the day el camino was released. it was his last screen appearance & you'd have never thought anything was wrong with him the way he performed. r.i.p!
I applaud the kids persistence. It's one thing to have zero expectation out of a situation, but to refuse humoring an attempt to even try over doubt is a disservice to oneself.
I’m from Rochester, NY. I never met him but my good friend did. I’ve always enjoyed his work. I was so happy Quentin gave him a good role in “Jackie Brown”! He was very convincing and amazing to watch him work a scene. 🧐😇😢🫡
Loved Robert Forster! His dad did the iron work on our house and he came to help out one day and after work, picked me up (I was three/four) and ran around the woods with me. He made a little girl who’d just lost her daddy to cancer so very happy. I’ll love him forever!♥️♥️♥️
Grandfather almost a year ago. I loved Batman when I was a kid and I’m not sure how/when it started exactly, but I was always excited to see him. From when I was a child and through my adulthood he continued to call me Batman when he would see me. I was never embarrassed and always gave him a big hug no matter who was around. A couple months before he passed, his mind really started to deteriorate and when I saw him he no longer referred to me as he had before, partly because he could hardly speak at all. When I realized it, it broke me a little but, especially since I had lost my father, one of my only other great male role models, only months prior. As he got closer to his end I still looked at my grandfather like he was a superhero. When he finally passed on, I still viewed him as a superhero, but just as one who could finally retire and hang up his cape because he didn’t have to fight anymore. I’ll make sure I keep the cape clean for you. RIP Grandpa. 😔
Rip Robert Forster. He had an amazing filmography. I was lucky enough to eat lunch with him and his daughter at a convention in 2017, a couple of years before he passed away. He was a genuine great guy all around.
My grandpa was a german pilot and were shot from the sky in 1945. He was a prisoner of the russians first, escaped and went to the Rheinwiesenlager. He cooked for the GIs and filled his pants with hot potatoes so that his inmates had something to eat. He had scars from these boiling hot potatoes until his last day in earth. His voyage lasted nearly a year and he walked over 700 kilometers by foot. He was 18 at that time. He was a superhero.
I'm not meet my grandfather but i very thankful because i had grandmother. I'm a part of broken family then my grandmother alone give me education, knowledge and skill to fight the reality now is all about my grandmother give me.
