  • So yeah, the day took a bit of an unexpected turn. But all will be what it will be! 😸The template at the front of this video was for a "holiday vlog" ="my first day in Bali" etc...which I joyously changed to "dentist visit" and "health scare" because slice of life material is what we're all about here! :-)

I'm so glad you're getting an earlier appointment because it's better to not have all that hanging over your head for your trip. What a rollercoaster. I hope you're having a good day today.
(I did not like Matrix and DNF'd it about halfway.)

Funny, just after this video I thought I would dnf it, but I perservered and now I saw your comment I'm wondering again. It was a rollercoaster! Happy Thanksgiving!

Cathie, I’m sorry your visit to the dentist took an unexpected turn. Your sense of humour will be helpful as you await the biopsy and results. 🍀

Thank you Lindy: the humor comes naturally! 😄Right now I'm fairly stoic about the whole thing since I do want to find out whether it is something serious or not.

Hi Cathy, I suffer from fibromyalgia as well, so I feel your pain literally. I also have bone on bone hip osteoarthritis so I also have chronic pain. I am sending you healing prayers for a complete and positive outcome. Are use a cane to get around and it’s a really big help. Aloha friend.

yes, we are in this together MArilyn! Your positive outlook is inspirational! my bone on bone is the back: degenerative discs. plus fibro etc...this time the pain didn't seem to be as deep, it was still there and I was still tired but in a less debilitating way. Happy Thanksgiving!

New viewer here! I am so sorry to hear about your worries after the dentists. Please don't be too hard on yourself on your diet - stress will not help your body with the chronic pain and it will not make you happy. You seem so lovely and under quite a bit of stress so I hate to think of you not feeling like you can eat if you're hungry or being hard on yourself! I really hope everything works out and you get good news before your trip to Germany. Edit: I'm sorry about how many strange comments this video has got!

I just realized the same thing: I am going to prioritize „comfort and joy“ until after the dentist’s appointment on Tuesday. I keep thinking it’s probably nothing, but if my regular dentist said get this done then I should really do that. Thank you!

I’m glad you’re able to get the tongue issue looked at next week. You’ll get through it. Enjoy the long holiday weekend. 😊

Thanks so much, Lindsey! It's just one of those things that you need to get looked at promptly. Dr Google has many accounts of people who could not get their care providers to take a lesion seriously and then it turned out to be cancerous. Hope you have a great Thanksgiving!

Been there, done that. This will not be fun. My lesion was benign but it was definitely not fun.

I'm always mildly amused when people do not get or deliberately not react to sarcasm. I remember chuckling with the ER doc who was putting stitches in my thumb after a bagel/knife incident when I told him I'd never had stitches and am happy I can now cross that off my bucket list. He thought that was hilarious! But I actually kind of meant it in an "experiencing all the experiences type of way".

I'm sorry to hear of your health scare. I hope all goes well for you. ❤ If you want to wear a mask, you do you! It's no-one's business except yours whether you do or not. And they certainly do help.

Lots of touchpoints here - I had one of those tongue things - it was fine but the procedure needed a day or so to get over for me. We both get all the shots and boosters (and Jennie has fibro) so those after effects are familiar too! I hope it all goes well [commenting hafway through the vlog]

Thanks Roy! About how long did you have your tongue thing before you got it checked? I’ll be pretty shocked if it isn’t something minor, but you don’t know until you know, right? 😊

    • @royreadsanything

@@thegrimmreader3649 Quite a while tbh. The tongue was rubbing against a sharp bit of tooth, which was also removed though back at the dentist. Somehow this created a small hard area that needed the cut 'n' biopsy treatment.

Definitely mask up if you feel safer to do so. My husband and I still mask up at medical facilities and crowded rooms. Hope all goes well with your tongue. The waiting and not knowing is the worst part. But you’ll get through it. It’s good that you vlogged about it as I think talking about it is better than holding all your thoughts in and may help others going through similar. Happy Thanksgiving xx

My lovely commenters are helping me for sure! and it does help talking about it. also glad to have this documented. Won't say Happy Thanksgiving back, unless: have Australians adopted it? It's such an Autumn-centric holiday it really would feel strange celebrating it in Spring...but then again I remember hot summer Christmasses!
