That ending break down almost makes me emotional. The way it hits is just as impactful as it was to me 10+ years ago. I love P1 and it will always be special to me and is one of the reasons I still love music to this day. Thank you, periphery
The songwriting is that strong. I still really enjoy that album even with the scratchy vocals. It feels cohesive still like they really put their all into it.
@@treehann I couldn't agree more. Every single song on it is a 10/10 and I think my favorite part about it and p2 is that their style had so much energy and even while being brutally heavy, was still so much fun instead of dark and overbearing. Plus, it has their magnum opus, Racecar. It's also the album that got me into them and it inspired me to start playing drums again after a 10 year gap of not playing. Now 3 years later, drums have overtaken video games as my main hobby which says a lot. I have them and especially Matt to thank. Can't wait to see them tomorrow
Maybe the mixing was poorer but it is still a strong vocal performance. Spencer has surely improved but the orginal, coarse sounding vocals and less “whiny” ones is well worth the listen still.
That was insane from Spencer omg
Holy fuck I’m so glad they’re playing this again. This song never gets old, thanks for the upload!
You are welcome!

One of the most beautiful metal songs ever written
i love when people sing along
One of their best compositions... Simple and musical. ❤
Yup, my favorite song of theirs (for the reasons you mention as well).
I can’t believe he hits those fucking highest notes. Like 3 times no less. Crazy.
I have not seen this band live. I hope they come to Australia
Wow....
Live periphery 1 in 2023? In this economy?!
i guess this is v2.0 from icarus but thats only a technicality
Jesus christ you lucky bastards, how I wish to hear some P1 live before I kick the bucket
my favorite somg
Spencer OMG❤
Thank you!! Srsly what year is this?? 😭
Hey Spencer which Periphery design should I get tattooed on my left wrist😢🎉❤
Nothing compares to the no vocals original.
So epic that they're playing some p1. Still the best album even though it sounds the worst and has the worst vocals
the fuck dude

periphery is so damn ahead of its time that the album they released 13 years ago still sounds modern and up to todays standards
