I went to a vacuum store looking more towards a sebo felix or an e3 because I've always used uprights but the guy there kind of steered me towards this k3 machine and I went for it. I like how it's a bit smaller than the e3 from the looks of it and it was also a bit cheaper too. I've only used it a day but I think the canister is actually easier to clean with since it's lighter and much more versatile with changing attachments and on bare floors. Also the suction/brush control being on the handle is a plus.
I mostly used cheap shark bagless uprights. They would just break after like 3 years and spread dust everywhere. It's definitely worth the money.
i have a sebo G1 essentials upright and i will say nothing ever breaks on it. i kind of want to add a canister
Regarding the scent bars/tabs… when you worked in a vac shop as a technician, you were required to put a scent tab in the machine as a part of the servicing. You said in several videos that you personally didn’t like this practice for particular reasons. Fast forward to this video, you said you like the scented bars/tabs and that you have one in almost every machine in your collection. What changed your mind. I’m curious.
That's a good observation. The old circular scent tabs smelled really nasty. The SEBO citrus tabs smell all right and I believe they also have some sort of enzyme in them. Anyways when you have a bunch of vacuums sitting around that don't get regular use it's not a bad idea to have something in the bag. Great question my friend.
Hello from Mile High! Are you planning on doing a review of the Samsung Bespoke Jet? Is the cleaning station a niche gimmick, or a viable option?
Thank you so very much for the work you put into this channel. I have binge watched many of your videos today and learned a lot about the industry 👍
Do the sebos or miele clean better? I think you mentioned one had better suction in some other video..
thanks
The difference is within the error of margin. But what you like
Nice review as always! Brief note...the ET-1 has an orange indicator light that replaces the green when the brush roller's shut off and power head's unlocked (visually indicates brush roller's off - my 14 year old Felix didn't have that light ).
If you buy one of these brand new, what is the regular maintenance schedule for them? How often should they go in for servicing?
Great reviews they’re very helpful, I’m doing my research before going to my local dealer to replace my vacuum. I was set on Miele but now that I see the SEBO I’m not sure anymore. What would you recommend for a 2500 sq ft home with all hardwood no carpets and 2 dogs and 1 cat?
The SEBO K2 or E3 should be at the top of your list. th-cam.com/video/8orjQ4I14JM/w-d-xo.html
Just wanted to say I purchased the E3 and it really is the best vacuum I’ve ever owned, it’s amazing how quiet it is. As your reviews point out I’ll need to upgrade the parquet brush, dog fur accumulates under the bed and the included plush snow plows it. I’m undecided between the SEBO parquet tool and the Wessel-Werk’s RD285.@@PerformanceReviews
I noticed that you didn't mention the kind of bare floor tool that would be of a better kind than the one that comes with the K3 in this video.
He likes the Parquet tool better than the Kombi - th-cam.com/video/WUvAAcipZTs/w-d-xo.html
@@PerformanceReviews So would you recommend an owner of a K3 canister to get the bare floor tool labeled with the word "Parquet", like the one that Rob was trying to show me, if (s)he has enough money?
IMO much better than the equivalent Miele
Is the upgrade of the hose going to be like the hose on the E 3?
They're going to be moving the electric brush switch from the power head itself to the hose. They are not changing the diameter or adding a taper.
Wow! That's a great move - do you know if they'll be bringing it to the other Sebos in the future, or whether the existing ET-1s will work with the feature?
I bought a D4 last week and would have loved that feature. Ah, well.
@@MTerrenceprobably will be able to buy the updated hose and retro fit an older model
I have my eyes on the K3 for my use case. Unfortunately, my local dealer has a regional monopoly of sorts, and is charging a $50 markup over online competition. May have to point that out to them in a haggle.
I've had the privilege to see these in person however the E3 is such a better machine in my opinion compared to this older generation. It has so many more improvements that make it well worth the extra $$. I just hate how (on the K3) in order to use the upholstery nozzle, it has to be attached to the crevice too first that's the weirdest thing I've ever seen..
just got mine. Cheers! 🍻
I need help finding a good cordless vacuum! I bought the Levoit cordless vacuum you reviewed. I really liked it at first. I love being able to get under my couch , and bed no problem. But after using it on my area rugs it was damaging the rugs. Like making the fibers clumpy and actually pulling some pieces out. I don't know if the suction is to strong? Any suggestions on a cordless vacuum that isn't $600 that won't damage my area rugs ?
Cordless vacuum that are actually good are pricey. The Miele HX1 is on sale right now. Maybe look into that.
Does anyone know why ads are popping up on these videos if you are already using an ad blocker?
I really enjoy TH-cam. I have come here for both entertainment, e.g. documentaries, old comedies, interviews, etc., and to learn things. I learnt how to do a small repair on my washing machine from a TH-cam video, but if I cannot avoid constant commercial interruptions, I will likely stop coming here at least so often.@@PerformanceReviews
Can the horsehair hard floor tool be used to vacuum walls? Anyone??
What is the difference between this vacuum in red, in black, and in white? Is it just colour differences, or is there more to it than that?
Why is this a review of the Airbelt K3, but it says ET 1 on the power head?
Are the suction test numbers on this vacuum as good as the Miele C1 Dog and Cat?
Thank you!
No differences in colors. Onyx is only available via dealers.
ET-1 is the power head and it's used across many Sebo models.
What a shame about the plastic collars though.
@@ZaneWulf My Kenmores always had cardboard sleeves to slip on the machine with. I did end up buying a Sebo anyway.
Even the box has German engineering
