Very true. I struggle with the same thing. I search for approval in others in order to feel good about myself. That's probably why he's my favorite member. I've been getting better, though. I've been learning to love myself more. I want Jimin to love himself as well, because it's horrible being sucked into a downward spiral of needing confirmation from others. Jin and Jimin, people usually don't like when someone praises themselves or constantly asks for praises. But you just know how adorable these two are that I absolutely love this habit of theirs. They are so kind, adorable and caring that anything they do just makes sense. I genuinely now have normalized praising myself or asking for praise because I don't find it weird anymore. After watching the newest episode of Burn the Stage, I now realized why Jimin wants to hear praise. He really does have low self esteem. I want to gift every single praise in this universe and give it to BTS.

For a man like him, Jimin is quite sensitive. Not to put it in a way that men aren't allowed to be sensitive, but what I'm trying to point out is that jimin is actually fragile. Fragile with his emotions, and is cautious to the emotional needs of others too. As most of us know, Jimin works very hard to get what he wants and to do better at whatever he's doing. But when he fails at something, either a tiny blemish or a big mistake, Jimin gets troubled and bothered about it himself (Just like in that episode of Burn the Stage). Compliments make him feel better because Jimin also had a hard time loving himself, because he was too harsh on himself to do better at what he's doing for him to escape from the bashing of other people. (Cause people used to call him obese, fat, ugly, untalented, etc. which were so not true!) Jimin is definitely not an attention seeker, nor an egocentric person, (sadly, anti's called him that too) for me he just wants to feel loved the way of how much he loves others too. But these days, we could totally see jimin loving himself more and more and owning up to that album title of theirs, "Love Yourself". I'm really happy that whenever they are asked "what is your favorite part of your body" jimin owns it up as says "i love my everything!", also, that interview where they were asked "what was your favorite hair color of yours" he replied "i think every hair color had a different vibe from another and so i loved them all differently" while others had answers like "red" (hehe loved that red haircolor too on you vhope).
*You should put in the video all the times where Jimin has praised the other members. It would be at least 1 year long* . I really don't think he has a "constant need", these words in the tittle are a bit too much. I think everyone likes to be praise, specially if they have worked hard for it.

Its mostly because he struggles with anxiety and self hatred. He most likely suffers from some sort of eating disorder, as well as severe anxiety. In order to support him, its possible the other members feel the need to let him know its not nearly as bad as he thinks it is. He has once stated theres been times he'd go over 10 days and eat only one solid meal. Theres a lot of pressure on him to be a certain type, compared to the others who are just accepted as is. So they're just trying to let him know its not as bad as he thinks and he has their support

Jin and Jimin, people usually don't like when someone praises themselves or constantly asks for praises. But you just know how adorable these two are that I absolutely love this habit of theirs. They are so kind, adorable and caring that anything they do just makes sense.

For a man like him, Jimin is quite sensitive. Not to put it in a way that men aren't allowed to be sensitive, but what I'm trying to point out is that jimin is actually fragile. Fragile with his emotions, and is cautious to the emotional needs of others too. As most of us know, Jimin works very hard to get what he wants and to do better at whatever he's doing. But when he fails at something, either a tiny blemish or a big mistake, Jimin gets troubled and bothered about it himself (Just like in that episode of Burn the Stage). Compliments make him feel better because Jimin also had a hard time loving himself, because he was too harsh on himself to do better at what he's doing for him to escape from the bashing of other people. (Cause people used to call him obese, fat, ugly, untalented, etc. which were so not true!) Jimin is definitely not an attention seeker, nor an egocentric person, (sadly, anti's called him that too) for me he just wants to feel loved the way of how much he loves others too.
But these days, we could totally see jimin loving himself more and more and owning up to that album title of theirs, "Love Yourself". I'm really happy that whenever they are asked "what is your favorite part of your body" jimin owns it up as says "i love my everything!", also, that interview where they were asked "what was your favorite hair color of yours" he replied "i think every hair color had a different vibe from another and so i loved them all differently" while others had answers like "red" (hehe loved that red haircolor too on you vhope).
*You should put in the video all the times where Jimin has praised the other members. It would be at least 1 year long* .
I really don't think he has a "constant need", these words in the tittle are a bit too much. I think everyone likes to be praise, specially if they have worked hard for it.
I really do wish that he understood how amazing he is and how many people love and appreciate him and wish that they could tell him how amazing he is.. I comment this a lot but I feel like it’s needed. Jimin is one of the most amazing human beings I’ve ever seen. He is incredibly amazing at dancing and singing.. he gives me chills every time I hear his voice or when he feels the music.. Tbh seeing his stunning face gives me chills.. Its mostly because he struggles with anxiety and self hatred. He most likely suffers from some sort of eating disorder, as well as severe anxiety. In order to support him, its possible the other members feel the need to let him know its not nearly as bad as he thinks it is. He has once stated theres been times he'd go over 10 days and eat only one solid meal. Theres a lot of pressure on him to be a certain type, compared to the others who are just accepted as is. So they're just trying to let him know its not as bad as he thinks and he has their support
See, this is what we are not going to do. We cant assume he has an eating disorder just bc he had ONE extreme diet at some point. Even he said he wont do it again. Lets not play the psychologist for him and diagnose him based on random isolated moments.
