    Rodeo is what made me understand trap/autotune-heavy rap. Was into boom bap before, but travis changed that. The atmosphere, the progessive edge, the ups and downs of emotions just make this album perfect. No other trap album comes close in my opinion

    The lyrics of apple pie aren’t what you think, when he says “I don’t want your apple pie mama” he is saying that he doesn’t need his moms help anymore and that he’s on his own now “I need my own legacy my own recipe”. Travis is making a life for himself

    Travis Scott is perfect for people who like rock. It's because he has a huge southern backround and he was inspired by people like Kid Cudi and Kanye so that another reason. Travis Scott could make almost anyone like his music. Rodeo is the perfect Trap album period. I grew up on rock and I listened to Travis Scott and his music was perfect for me. This is why I'm proud to be a rager😈. May LA FLAME live forever

    • @AttaMan
      @AttaMan 5 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      I don't see what Cudi or Kanye or having a southern background have to do with being perfect for people who like rock music. Most rock fans would think it's overproduced and trite.

    Travis produced only a couple of the tracks on rodeo however he orchestrates everything. Hes known to be a perfectionist when it comes to instrumentals that he gets and guest vocals that are sent. There's a lot of notable trap producers on the album like metro boomin, tm88, etc. Also, long time Kanye West producer who co-produced yeezus, Mike Dean does many of the synth leads, and synth basslines that are extremely travisesque. He also mixed and mastered the project. He still does for all of Travis's albums. Travis has pioneered a sound and continues to experiment and pulls out masterpieces.

    the lyrical meaning behind apple pie is actually deeper than it might seem, the way i take it is that he wants to move on in his own in life, he wants to do his own stuff and wants that independence we all want at a point in time. He represents this by saying, "i dont want your apple pie no more, i need my own pepper please my own recepie" like saying, i want to do this on my own from now on, i need my own money and my own way of doing my shit. Just a different perspective as to how I view the song, personally my favorite travis song.

It’s insane how timeless this piece of art is. The fact that for the last 8 years I have listened to this album in some capacity every single day is fucking crazy to me. Immersiveness in Travis' music comes from his crazy ass sound selection, both in the instruments and his voice. Panning, velocity, reverb, voices etc. he manipulates it all at the same time in the production and his voice. It's overlooked, but he's an actual genius in multiple ways - you can hear his influences like Kid Cudi, Tame Impala, T.I etc. but he really is a master of curation towards a specific environment for each individual song

    Apple pie actually has a deeper meaning of him taking responsibility and creating his own legacy. The apple pie is a metaphor. It is also the ending of the album and a nice wave of goodbye (the other 2 are bonus tracks). Great video!!!

    pls do blonde by Frank Ocean it's longeviety is what really makes it so special to me the combination of the songwriting and the stripped back but beautiful instrumentation is what really makes it a special album worth listening to especially when most of "mainstream" music oversaturates the listener with heavy production. I think you can really sense that 4 years of work went into the Album. It's a masterpiece in my opinion would like to see your reaction

    To understand Travis Scott's influence you need to listen to Kid Cudi's work (particularly Man on the Moon). This isn't something for the channel but more for your own time. That's where the intro and commentary came from and the "Scott" in Travis Scott comes from Cudi's real name being Scott Mescudi.
