A Day in My Life Living Alone in Japan| JET PROGRAM

Hello everyone! My name is Zairah. Four months ago I moved to Japan with my whole life in the Philippines packed in two luggages.
Two big luggages that are filled with a bunch of clothes and Filipino stuff. Two luggages that are so full of hopes, excitements, fears, and sadness.
It’s been four months, how time flies and how it outgrows us. I can still vividly remember the day I was only working so hard for this. A lot has happened in the short period of time of my stay here, and I know there will be a lot more.
I have been contemplating whether or not I should share to you some snippets of my life here in Japan. I have a lot of fears and insecurities about it, but at the same time, I also want to share with you the reality of living alone abroad- the lesson it gives, the joy you can find in the simplest things, the gift of wisdom you acquire, the challenges and struggles no one talks about, and the reality that it is not always about being in cloud nine.
Today, I finally found the courage to do so. After all, I have always wanted this.
