Worth every penny. I tried a lot of sling bags. This is the only one I have kept. And I don't feel the need to look any further. Unique design that really works. And absolutely the best quality. I have since bought 2 more Nomatic bags. They are perfect.
£443 in UK Amazon vs 159 dollars in the USA. Note though can get it for £160 elsewhere in UK. Superb video as looking for one for the reasons you stated.
Figured it out, Its the GOMATIC - McKinnon Camera Sling 8L which is £149.This was designed by Peter Mckinnon. The link in the description is the Nomatic Peter Mckinnon version which is far more expensive. Due to a trademark issue, they are no longer able to sell their products in Europe under the NOMATIC brand name. So they created a new European brand, GOMATIC. It's the same great products with a brand new name.@@VicBarry Talk about confusing!
It's €180 plus €9 postage on Amazon Germany. (My default Amazon search is always the German site - full English translation - and only then the UK one.)
Super helpful! The bit where you showed how the straps on the bottom don't hold a small tripod was a critical point for me and you saved me a purchase that wouldn't have worked for me -- thank you!
Vic, another excellent review! I noticed there's a rather prominent lip on the body side of the bag when it's open (especially towards the ends). I also noticed that the camera seemed to catch on that lip. Have you had a problems with the lip?
I have an altura camera sling that got thrown in with a camera buy for free and it is the perfect bag imo, I can wear it as a small backpack and at any moment pull the strap then it’s in a fanny pack orientation, where I zip it open and can take my camera out same as this one. It can even fit an a7iii with a 24-70mm on it, and extra stuff. Highly recommend.
I have the bag and feel exactly as you do. My use case is different since I use it as a dad EDC bag with a X100VI and my pocketables, and the bag is perfect for that.
Great review! Thanks. Just ordered one on sale myself. Ps. Where you put the multitool I think its for filters. Thats what sold me actually, being able to switch filters quicker
Hey Vic! Thanks for this. I bought the sling and immediately felt buyers remorse. It does everything I need from it but I couldn’t help but feel that maybe there’s a better one out there. This made me feel better about it. Thanks again.
this was very helpful and insightful, like what you did here. I just subscribed to you, keep up the great work. I also bought the bag because of you, looks amazing. 😎
Camera bags are for people who love their equipment and willing to pay extra to feel special. The reality is regular bags or add a $20 padded insert work just as well. Having said that, I paid $2000 for a LV camera bag, hey my camera worth it.
@VicBarry I'm not a gym guy, and i am pretty heavy. For people like me, a balanced bag and nice shoes and the most vital photographers accessories. It doesn't matter which lens or camera you have if your spine hurts and you can't carry the gear whole day long. Unfortunately, all slings are unbalanced by design and push the weight on one shoulder. The backpacks on the market have another problem. They are usually too big. No one seems to make a small (up to 6l) day pack for photo gear. It's just as small as slings to carry a one-two lens setup on both shoulders. The smallest I found was Tenba Fulton 10L. Still, it's better than any sling, even as ergonomic as stuff from McKinnon.
Folks check your local online auctions before buying new camera bags -- I pay about 10% of the retail cost for these bags -- if Amazon sells them they will eventually show up at auctions -- shop around. (might have to wait for the nomatic -- but the competitors show up regular) GOD Bless
It bothers me cause this is 95% of a perfect bag that I would gladly buy, except for the fact that I wouldn’t be able to fit an iPad mini 🙃 does anyone have any suggestions??
If your camera is small enough, you can fit it. I use it for my X100VI and my iPad mini with Apple’s folio case fits great. Sadly I never got to try it with my Sony A7IV.
The part where you zipped it back and forth so aggressively sold me on the bag. The Peak Designs bag I have is a real struggle to zip.
The zips are crazy quality. I did look at the peak design one in the past alright but this just screamed quality
Crazy review! Love it! Looking forward to buy it!
Thanks Gary 🙏
Vic love your style and the honest review, I will probably buy this bag but definitely subscribing! Thanks
Awesome! Thank you!

Absolutely Don this just screams quality and totally agreed. Worth every penny

Hey James. Really? That much? That’s not one of their bigger camera bags by any chance? That’s a crazy difference
👀 No way. That’s a major screw up somewhere

I really enjoyed your review of this bag! Thank you!
You are so welcome!
Lost me at you only get one tripod strap, won't be buying it for that reason as that is a pisstake ie an insult to my intelligence.
Is it comfortable to carry?
Hey John. Been using it quite regularly and at this stage I forget I even have it on
What is the name of the rope you use to hang the tripod?
I have a smaller Sony body and an osmo pocket 3. I’m looking for a bag that can carry both. Seems like this might work…
Great review… subbed
Thanks
Vic, another excellent review!

Hey Frank, haven’t had any problems with the lip
@@VicBarry Thank you, Vic.
Great video as always 👍!!!!!
Cheers Justin 🙏
Спасибо за обзор. Как ты думаешь а Nikon D810 поместиться в эту сумку?

Hey Tristan, cool. How much extra stuff can you fit?

Great video, my man. Side note……what’s the name of the tripod you carried with you, and will the straps hold a high end monopod?
🍻
Bellroy Venture 10L camera sling
Great review! Thanks. Just ordered one on sale myself.

That bag looks cool. I did created my own bag. Very useful doesn't look like a canera bag 😂
* sees Peter McKinnon's name associated with it. Immediately know I can't afford it.*
Excellent post.
Thanks

Thanks for the sub! Appreciate the kind words

Ha. Good way of putting it. How was that LV?
@@VicBarry It was probably a $20 insert inside a $1980 Louis carryall.
Ooh, colour me intrigued 🎉🎉
A sling is automatically a no no for me, it doesn't matter how much it costs and what brand made it. Too unbalanced for long walks.
That’s fair although I’ve found once it’s around your back it seems pretty solid

Like expensive watches, nobody needs expensive bags. They are a statement.

Hahahahahaha I got a tactical sling that holds a camera with a lens plus one extra for $16.00 and it does the job plus more. $175 pffft yeah right
Hey Tom, fair enough. Whatever works for you. Right.
Nice! I’ve had many of slings, and this one was worth every penny for me.
You missed 'Fly The Flag'!
It’s in the broll 🤣🏴☠️
