  • It's time to hit the Santa Barbara cruise port. It was full of wineries, breweries, and EPIC toddler dance moves. We had to check out some local wineries (they classified it as a wine cruise, so when in Rome!). We made an impromptu stop at Figueroa Mountain Brewery and followed it up with Carr Winery and Au Bon Climat. They also had a cute little beach right next to the ship. It was a bit chilly out, but that didn't stop us from putting our feet in the sand. Our Santa Barbara port stop was relatively short - we had to be back on the ship at 5pm. We didn't mind the quicker stop because we were able to make our early bird dinner and still have time to dance the night away. If you're traveling on Princess Cruises with kids, check out the Skywalkers Lounge before dinner (it's an observation deck during the day). Still trying to figure out where this little girl gets her dance moves. I know it's not from her mom or dad. She was known as the dancing baby for the remainder of the cruise.

I can't think of a better way to kick off a cruise... wine and beer for the win!

Thanks! Our little one was almost 2 when we took her on the cruise. We thought she might be too young to enjoy it, but the ship had a kids club, kids menu, and the Mini Suites are perfect for smaller kiddos because you have a separate space for a crib. I will say, the options open up after age 3 when they can go to the kids club without parents and potty trained kids can use the pool.
