After taking a break for the summer before their senior year, Ryan and Jess rekindle their relationship, and find out that Jess is pregnant with twins. When Ryan’s mother demands a paternity test, they find out that Ryan is only the father of one baby... The other father is Ryan’s best friend Bryce, who Ryan discovers date raped Jess at a party over the summer. With college recruiters and an overbearing father looming over Bryce’s head, he will stop at nothing to make sure that he clears his name-- even if it means getting rid of Jess and her babies!

This movie is so empowering. That they left it in the hands of justice. Unfortunately, a lot of these types of movies have main characters that tend to take the approach of literally like hurting their abusers instead of prosecuting them and letting them rot in jail for what they did and I love when movies encourage the opposite to be done because the other films tend to encourage it or normalize it when that's not the best form of revenge and probably will only hurt them anyway this movie is so good and they loved how everyone supported Jess through the whole transition and how both her parents, best friend, and boyfriend stood by her through the entire event and they never questioned her story, even once.

2) Being an abusive parent (in this case it was very minor) can produce an equally abusive child. Likewise being a power hungry and overky "work focused" parent can produce a power hungry and trouble making child. If you're a parent then be careful how you raise your child. If you're in someone's care right now then be careful how you react to negativity in your home life and your parent's way of doing things. Your parents/carers influence what you do and say far more than you think.
3) If you're a parent and your child goes through something bad, no matter how you see it personslly, stick by them. Support them all the way. Same goes for if you're in a relationship. Look after your partner. Don't be quick to judge and always look at things from their side. Don't let them go through life trying to handle their burdens alone. Be with them. Hold them.
