  • Pokolbin State forest, right in the heart of the Hunter Valley NSW Wine Country.
With some spare time by myself I decided to go on a little adventure to Wine Country and explore the little State Forest that is in Pokolbin NSW.
This isn't the hardest 4wding but on a clear day the views are just amazing. Also up here hiding in the bush is one of the Hunter valleys biggest secret spots. Now while I'm not going to give away its exact location, there are enough clues in this video that the true explorers will definitely be able to find it.
So get out there, have an adventure you'll be surprised at what you'll find!

Same here mate, nobody would tell me either but it was more rewarding spending a few hours driving around and finding it. I find these days people don’t want to just explore anymore they just want directions all the time, personally i love not knowing where a track goes that i am on or just aimlessly driving around 😂😂. Anyway great video and glad you didn’t give to much away. Great hat as well btw.
    Cheers Shad

Mate, I hiked up to this lookout today.
All I can say, if you spend this much time wrecking around the bush with your cars take same time cleaning up the thilth left behind by the so-called explorers!!!

I've only recently been shown this spot by another photographer friend. Surprised I hadn't stumbled across this one sooner as I've probably checked out most of the other spots already for landscape shots!
I want to get up here for a lightning show one night!

I too frequent the Pokolbin Lookout. IMO the best one in the Pokolbin State Forest, closely followed by Yellow Rock Lookout. But it's not a secret, nor hard to find. It's even marked in Google Maps on where it is. 😁😁

someone has spray painted a tree to put you in the right direction now. It took me 4 tips up there to find the bloody thing :)

Some like myself actually enjoy the more challenging lines. Of course its an each to their own situation.
