Thanks for the nice video . Removing the backcover was harder than I expected but doable with a little patience. I just found the part of pulling the test point a bit confusing. You don't need to actually pull it, but you need to ground it by connecting it to the device body (like the metallic part above the test point) while you connect the USB; and you don't need to push the power button nor your tablet need to be off. Another thing that might be helpful: Since I was using Android SDK Platform Tools, fastboot was not recognizing my device so I had to go to fastboot mod using the adb command "adb reboot-bootloader" and then use the "fastboot oem unlock ".
Works perfectly. Very accurate tutorial. For boot bootloader and enter unlock code, open platform tools and hit adb reboot bootloader. Now fastboot oem unlock and code.
hi. I opened my T5 and right after the opening the screen stood black after turning the tablet on. I did not notice any big problems while opening the screen. While putting the screen back some picture was shown but picture and touch is irrational. Now TWRP acts on its own and touch is very difficult. I believe I have to open the tablet again and check the cable connections or can this be of some other reason. Maybe while connecting earth and test point at the wrong time?
I tried to reattach the cable on the screen side but broke the connector. A very thin white bar locking the cable snapped and I cannot get any picture any more :( So my T5 is probably just trash now or do you have any ideas?
Please can you help I found way to test point my honor 4x So just after with that potatonv when I stared it I just get that message The delay to waiting is over? Help pliz
My device dosen't turn on. I can only go into recovery mode, and fastboot. I stuck in 9:05 - i can't turn on the tablet, so i can't switch on "the develpoer options". Is any onther way to unlock the bootloader?
@@RandomRepairzThe potatonv application didn't work for me, I don't know if I did something wrong, I tried other applications to find out the boot code of my device but it only gave me the imai and I entered it and that's why I got an error but I thought it was the boot code start
Removing the display worked absolutely fine...no broken glass...no ripped cables...everything looks fine...BUT now my display stays black...well, not really black, it lightens up a little bit, when I press the power-button, but thats all. A reboot does not help either... Seems I broke it somehow 😞
I don't know if you fixed it but I had the same issue. The ribbon cable was just slightly loose for me. I just removed it from the screen and re-seated it. Worked for me.
@@brandonattor Guess that was actually the problem, i tried doing what you said and accidentally bent the ribbon cable, it does not even light up at all now LOL

i've managed to get it to do it, but when i try booting into the bootloader using volume up, down and power on, i get an INSTALLING UPDATE display, and its sitting at 5% - any ideas?

If you take a VERY close look at the schematics and take PRECISE measurements, you could use a small drill to make a hole exactly above the contact and use a wire to do the grounding from there. Afterwards use some glue to fix the hole. You have to be somewhat insane to do it that way, though.
you have to use this method to find your device BL code then you can flash custom ROM. Although there is not much custom ROM available for this device. Still, I have uploaded a video about custom Rom for this device, Check that video too.

Thank you so much! It was easy, except for the back cover, but me, a 13y old, did it! Next step: Installing TWRP!!!

try to restore your phone to stock. then try again with password you got from the tool.
Press the button you say, connect the cable to the PC and play, press the power button and my tablet turned on and nothing happened
You have to short the pin on the motherboard. Did you do that?

It's not possible for free, but you can take it to good technician, who has right software to unlock the bootloader without disassembling it.

There is no password on the file. Also potatoNV isn't an rar file. It's a zip file.
