See that's why I like these things behind the scenes. It's all love and smiles after the fights. I dig that they let it all go in the octagon, and there's no animosity after.
Awww, Nick. This makes me sad. :( I love how there is relative chaos for much of the video, and then silence in the Diaz wrap corner. I love that. I would want absolute solitude before a fight to think.
Will there be behind-the-scenes blogs from all the events of this month? It's been a busy month. Would be a fun blog week. The Fuel card, TUF Finale, and the FOX card.
damn dana needs to make ufc vlogs on every event, be it televised or PPV since ufc 158 we had ufc on fuel tv. tuf 17 finale and ufc on fox 7. thats 3 cards dana needs a camera in his face constantly if we wants to keep up
Wow, what a cool guy Yves Lavigne is. He actually came into the locker room and talk to Carvalho and explained to him why he stopped it. What a classy cool guy.
I agree, Benson has never really had KO power, but he used to finish a lot of fights with submissions. He still plays it safe though, not as much as GSP, but he ran from a lot of engagements with Melendez, and whenever they did get in a wild exchange, Benson was always the one to end it and back away. He stays very active which keeps it more entertaining than GSP these days, and he does throw with bad intentions. I feel like the game plan for Benson is always 25 minutes long though.
Hendricks didnt pick him apart at all. Hendricks landed in the first but once he realized Condit wasnt going down and started eating shots he resorted to lay and pray. He didnt attempt any offense form the bottom and didnt try to advance at all. Condit did more damage from the bottom than Hendricks did from the top.
Agree with what you said there but you still have to admit that everyi=one fully knows his gameplan and yet he still manages to dominate and implement it and win every fight !
I mean I guess you could say Masahiko was the first mixed martial artist though he claimed Judoku and didn't use BJJ moves. He did use defensive BJJ and his Judo was legendary. The funny part is that everyone was so shocked to see Frank Mir break Nogueira's arm, that isn't a true BJJ move, Masahiko was breaking brazillian arms for a long time before the brazillians started copying his stuff
I agree, but that wasn't their fighting style at the start, that's what I'm getting at. GSP and Henderson ended the majority of their fights early on in their careers, they went for finishes and finished impressively. They were fantastic to watch, they dominated. Until they got the title, then they stopped going for finishes, they stopped pushing forward as much, they stopped using their full ability. And instead focused on suppressing their opponents for a decision victory. It keeps the belt.
he said the co main event was the main event and around that time it was rumored the main event might not happen. SO than he said the co main was main event the forums went apeshit.
Have you looked at the stats of the GSP vs Diaz fight?, if watching it wasn't enough, and the unanimous 50 - 45 judges scoring wasn't enough. FightMetric has: Total Strikes, GSP: 210 of 285 Diaz: 80 of 176 Significant Strikes, GSP: 105 of 167 Diaz: 41 of 136 Takedowns, GSP: 9 of 16 Diaz: 0 of 0 And all other stats from different sources say the same thing. GSP threw more strikes, landed more strikes, landed more significant strikes and took him down 9 times. Was it the takedowns only?
Except GSP landed 210 strikes to Diaz's 80, GSP landed 141 significant strikes to Diaz's 41, GSP landed 138 Head Strikes to Diaz's 43, GSP landed 58 Body Strikes to Diaz's 33 and GSP landed 14 Leg Strikes to Diaz's 4. And over half of the fight was spent standing.
I'm Canadian and I used to love watching GSP. But I completely agree with everything you just said about him. Ever since he got knocked out by Matt Serra, he's turned into a safe fighter that does not take any risks. He has gotten so boring with his style I know what to expect and will not be paying for any of his fights. I also lost some respect for him after he rejected Anderson Silva's challenge, when Silva pretty much called GSP out. Too scared. Safety first
Nick shouldn't retire. I think Condit vs. Diaz 2 would be a good rematch. I also want to see Condit vs. Rory MacDonald still. Can't wait for GSP vs. Hendricks.
Nice Glock shirt Dana! I didn't know that but guess I seen you shooting in a recent vlog. It is disappointing and stupid though that FOX won't allow any gun/knife/ammo sponsors.
See that's why I like these things behind the scenes. It's all love and smiles after the fights. I dig that they let it all go in the octagon, and there's no animosity after.
These always make my day. Thanks, Dana.
Love the Vlogs! Hendricks vs Condit stole the show, definitely top fights of the year. Can't wait for Hendricks vs GSP, whenever that happens.
Awww, Nick. This makes me sad. :( I love how there is relative chaos for much of the video, and then silence in the Diaz wrap corner. I love that. I would want absolute solitude before a fight to think.
I miss Vlog Day *Please Bring them back UFC*
Love the bit with Buffer in this one! Great to see that Dana is a good humored boss!
That was awesome...Another great behind the scenes look.
Love these blogs, would be nice to have them for every ufc event , not just ppvs.
Pretty cool seeing the behind the scenes stuff! Especially neat to see the post-fight fighter-referee interactions.
These Vlogs are awesome!! keep em coming
I never get over how cool it is to see behind the scenes of their shows.
hahahah and the response from Jackson "yeah you did!" the most perfect post fight attitude!
Will there be behind-the-scenes blogs from all the events of this month? It's been a busy month. Would be a fun blog week. The Fuel card, TUF Finale, and the FOX card.
lol, at one of Hendrick's guys saying, "We do it all day long"
That fight rocked for one reason. Condit!
damn dana needs to make ufc vlogs on every event, be it televised or PPV
since ufc 158 we had ufc on fuel tv. tuf 17 finale and ufc on fox 7. thats 3 cards
dana needs a camera in his face constantly if we wants to keep up
so good to see fighters saying good fight and being like ohhh man you hit so hard! its cool seeing that
awesome! thanks for posting these whoever!
2:44 good to see Yves getting involved and talking about the situation.
Haha. Good stuff in this vlog. Yves Lavigne, Bruce Buffer... very cool!
Wow, what a cool guy Yves Lavigne is. He actually came into the locker room and talk to Carvalho and explained to him why he stopped it. What a classy cool guy.
Was that Fitch, Hardy, and Diaz discussing GSP's style? That's awesome!
Finally! You've been slacking on your vlogs Dana! I was having withdrawals....
Condit is an amazing fighter, love watching him fight.
Really cool to see hardy and DIaz getting along, would love to see that fight!
Love the professionalism in this in the ufc.
When he announced the co-main event of the evening, he called it out with enthusiasm as the MAIN event of the evening.
thanks alot bro, will ufc 159 be availble there?
Condit's last two losses have made me a bigger fan of his than any of his wins, warrior
I agree, Benson has never really had KO power, but he used to finish a lot of fights with submissions.
He still plays it safe though, not as much as GSP, but he ran from a lot of engagements with Melendez, and whenever they did get in a wild exchange, Benson was always the one to end it and back away. THE VIDEO VLOGS ARE AWESOME!!!
Love the intensity of Condit
Kool at the end Dan Hardy and Nick Diaz talking to eachother!!
Carlos Condit is such a sick guy! i have so much respect for him now
GSP, "Thank you for coming here, you gotta lot of balls." He's awesome.
Awesome vlog dana!
Completely agree, well said.
That's the exact combo I use on UFC Undisputed. Works every time.
Fuckin badass video man! !! Backstage view makes you think different
The guy who got scratched was John Makdessi, the scratcher darron cruickshank
Well, I tried watching it on a radio, but the picture wasn't so good.
Wasn't dillashaw's fight on fox and nick ring's on another ufc event
finally some new vlogs!
Carlos Condit is a certified beast!! He had that fight so close .. Hendricks was in trouble at the end. Lmao Nick Diaz at the end
Agree with what you said there but you still have to admit that everyi=one fully knows his gameplan and yet he still manages to dominate and implement it and win every fight !
That is one of the funniest responses I have ever read. LOL!!
Love ya Dana! ... Korean American here!!!
they both fought the same card dillashaw had a short notice fight last weekends.
he annouced the condit hendricks fight as the main event instead of the co-main event
man hendricks and condits atitudes are fucking amazing
I mean I guess you could say Masahiko was the first mixed martial artist though he claimed Judoku and didn't use BJJ moves. He did use defensive BJJ and his Judo was legendary. The funny part is that everyone was so shocked to see Frank Mir break Nogueira's arm, that isn't a true BJJ move, Masahiko was breaking brazillian arms for a long time before the brazillians started copying his stuff
Was that Pulver that was talking with Hardy and Diaz?
amazing fight card last week speechless still need a better way to follow the UFC on my Iphone because I never know about prelims or full fight card
Very well said. I agree 100%.
I think he said the main event instead of co-main event in one of the recent UFC's , can't remember which one though
Its cool seeing how diaz and hardy are together
Does Sonnen have a chance against Jones?? I wanna get the fight but not if Jones if just gonna go in there and smash on Sonnen in 2 minutes.
youre right and i dont like it too... but to beat him, you have to be able to stop him from doing it.
Great card great vlog

He called the Condit/Hendricks fight the Main event of the evening
that was my fav part of the video too
Bruce announced the co-main as the main.
Love the shirt!!!
5:14 Carlos goes into BEAASST mode.
It's good to hear what Dana is saying in the cage
"You went crumbling like a building and I was like 'OH FUCK'" LMFAO
@3:45 something white flies off the pad or something and you can hear it land behind dana..what as that?
Dan always says vlogs are back...I'll believe it when I see it consistently.
Nick Diaz said nah fuck you with that hand raise lolll. Idgaf what they say about Nick he in my top 3
he said the co main event was the main event and around that time it was rumored the main event might not happen. SO than he said the co main was main event the forums went apeshit.
finally i been waiting for a vlog
dana broke it down for carlos perfectly. like a doctor!
why the hell is this called the UFC 159 Vlog when it's about UFC 158?
I personally thought Condit won but the decision is good either way. I would love to see a replay of Big Rig and Carlos.
You're never too old for pokemon!
Have you looked at the stats of the GSP vs Diaz fight?, if watching it wasn't enough, and the unanimous 50 - 45 judges scoring wasn't enough.
FightMetric has:
Total Strikes,
GSP: 210 of 285
Diaz: 80 of 176
Significant Strikes,
GSP: 105 of 167
Diaz: 41 of 136
Takedowns,
GSP: 9 of 16
Diaz: 0 of 0
And all other stats from different sources say the same thing. GSP threw more strikes, landed more strikes, landed more significant strikes and took him down 9 times.
Was it the takedowns only?
I want N. Diaz to come back they are still fights out there, C. Condit , J. Koshcheck, ect.
Dana needs more videographers. One guy in each locker room.
good on yves lavigne to come back and apologize for that stoppage really mature and processional thing to do
Man, I had heard about the scratch marks on Makdessi, but seeing them?
Makes it reeeeeeeeal hard to be a Daron Cruikshank fan.
That GSP kid was everywhere for this fight, wasn't he
Except GSP landed 210 strikes to Diaz's 80, GSP landed 141 significant strikes to Diaz's 41, GSP landed 138 Head Strikes to Diaz's 43, GSP landed 58 Body Strikes to Diaz's 33 and GSP landed 14 Leg Strikes to Diaz's 4. And over half of the fight was spent standing.

danas blogs are often behind the scenes footage from previous events.
Fuck I wish there was more action in that GSP vs Diaz fight, it was only starting to get interesting by the end of the fifth round.
Tyron Woodley was prolly looking at Swizz Beats like he was Jay Hieron thinking like didn't I just knock you out in my last fight
Bring back Freakshow! We love him over here!
whos the guy at 3:20? from tristar right?
Nick shouldn't retire. I think Condit vs. Diaz 2 would be a good rematch. I also want to see Condit vs. Rory MacDonald still. Can't wait for GSP vs. Hendricks.
"He won't be here." Kid starts throwing punches.
Carlos Condit was superb in this fight!
Carlos condit! Holy fuck! No one else would have been able to take those punches to the chin and just shake it off
He is killing it. Clay Guida.....
think you wrote when he losses at the end m8
Hahaha because he's stoked! I laughed when he screamed.
What was the mistake Bruce Buffer made? I've forgotten.
Got the same shirt? Love Glock!
Woah! Nick talked pretty fluently with Hardy! I think that proves that Diaz isnt dumb. I bet he has some communication issues and that's all.
Nice Glock shirt Dana! I didn't know that but guess I seen you shooting in a recent vlog. It is disappointing and stupid though that FOX won't allow any gun/knife/ammo sponsors.
