No, but I wish I did! Did you enjoy it or was it a bit much for that time of the day? By the way I want to thank you for inspiring me. Last year I cycled from Amsterdam to Berlin (800 km) and on April fools day my journey from Amsterdam to Baku, Azerbeidzjan (5300km ) will start! Watching your video's made me want to get out there!

I for one, am very grateful you didn’t end up a vapid empty host. You have inspired me so much. My life is so much better because of you and your channel. Please keep up the good work.
This is such a lovely series. Oaxaca and it's people are wonderful. John, Mira and you are the perfect team for this kind of trip. John's chill, your energy and Mira's star quality make it a full feature. About your failed TV career... you do control your future and your present. When one door closes another opens. You had the wisdom & courage to run/ ride through it. Congrats Ryan!
I've watched a lot of bikepacking and backpacking videos....no one ever talks of half days. We hear of dozens of miles completed in a day and off days but never someone or a group skipping the morning to sleep late, riding a few hours in the afternoon, and crashing somewhere new. Like: "All I had in me was 3 hours of riding/walking. But I did and I didn't have to wake up where I was yesterday."
For Selfish Reasons, I Am So Thankful You Gave Up The TV Gig - Stoked With The Diversity Throughout This Episode - Meals, Tent Locations, And Locals - There Is Something Very Special With Humanity In General And You Showcased It Well - Have Yourself A Brilliant Day My Boulder Brother Go Team Duzer, Cheers
You must go through a lot of water. That’d be my worry…running out of water in a desert-like area. I avoid caffeine too. I hate the thought of needing a chemical boost to function. Besides, to my taste buds, it’s awful stuff (ditto alcohol). I like how the climatic zones changed dramatically. I experienced that in New Mexico. Camped out in tall pine forests in the Sangre de Cristo mts, rode our bikes downhill and into Santa Fe desert. I was fascinated by the vegetation changes on the way down.
I just love to watch the three of you traveling together. I’m glad that your video/TV journey changed on you. When that one door closed another magnificent one opened ; and we (your viewers) are all better for it. Thanks for another lovely video of our beautiful planet, Ryan.

I definitely like the lower warmer elevation of the desert floor. My old achy bones especially like it. I was born on the high desert earthen floor in a tiny adobe hut in a small pueblo in Oaxaca. I think that's why I love the desert. 🏜️🙂
Hi Ryan, I find that you are very genuine and true to yourself in your candid explanations about your work, your feelings and your thoughts. It is very uncommon to see a channel with these description from a host that produces them and you have a very uplifting give and take with your audience, I appreciate all of these things and I do watch from start to finish each time. Thank you for being candid and inspirational, cheers from Oregon.
I love watching these videos every week before i go for my ride, however no ride today..... it is snowing hard this morning so no ride. I not only enjoy the scenery but also what you guys are eating, it all looks soooooo good. Thanks Ryan for sharing......

Thanks for the vid, love your channel! I know it’s not really your focus (and I also know that by the time I’m watching this you’re probably already home in Colorado), but it would have been nice for you to do a little segment in your video about the culture and art of Oaxaca, especially the alibrijes, the beautiful, colorful, and bizarre painted papier-mâché or carved wooden fantasy animal sculptures that came from a Oaxaca artist’s fever dream. Either way, thanks for the videos!
What a spectacular ride, the scenery was just incredible👌John is a beast the way he goes up those big climbs with that heavy bike, what a guy👍Mira is the sweetest dog ever, she just makes you want to smile😁I had a pretty epic ride myself today, 70 miles in the beautiful Scottish countryside but I couldn't beat your elevation gain with only 4326ft of climbing! Awesome video once again Ryan👍
