    I personally experienced “growing up too fast” mostly because I had wide hips from 11! So I was sexualised really early and that made me grow up too fast , and I honestly will tell you for free it was definitely not a positive experience 😩

      I had to opposite experience and it used to hurt me so much. I was so small guys never had my time and I wished they did, as I’ve grown and heard the stories some of might mate went through because of the ‘attention’ I’m grateful no body had my time. Plus now at almost 30 my mates look like they are in their forties and I still get asked for my card every time

    Layefa is more relatable than I thought. Just subscribed to her channel.🙂 For Kamsi, Kamsi is me and I'm Kamsi. I literally don't go out, and I hate learning from experience too. It's probably why at 29, I've never been in a relationship lol. We also really need to start going out more 4 real.🤦🏾‍♀Nice chat! Pls we definitely need more of this.😌💓

    Sometimes growing up fast is a result of parental pressure to act overly right than your age and capabilities and could also be a result of the company you keep or the influence of Social media models.

    I remember being in university and thinking to myself that I can’t wait to be an adult, to be working and making my own money. I entered into adulthood and I realized how different things can be…still in the process of learning how to be a full adult 💁🏽‍♀️😂 All I know is that one thing I’m glad I worked on in my late 20s is learning more about myself, especially mental health, becoming more self-aware, taking exercise seriously and learning how to make myself happy. l’ve left my 20s but in many ways, I feel like I am just starting my life again. If your 20s weren’t perfect and you are not very successful in your 30s, give yourself grace and keep taking little steps forward with what you can 🤗

  • @mimiwork9535
    @mimiwork9535 ปีที่แล้ว +13

    I agree that growing up too fast can be negative, but I think we should differentiate what is wanting to GROW UP vs GROWTH and at the bedrock of these is PRESSURE.
    I think one of the most interesting things about being in your 20's is how we can try a little bit of everything and find what makes us genuinely purposeful. Some people get this “spark" early on and use it for the biggest advantage. While others might take longer time (might end up being in your 30's or 40's) which is perfectly normal.
    If I am “corporate smart" and I use my smartness as an advantage to climb the corporate ladder faster, guess what? That means early retirement for me and more time to explore other parts of my life that I haven't after retirement. This applies to all aspects of life (career, relationships,etc)
    Bottom line is, life is not a scripted story so why are we acting like there was a storyline we were meant to follow. The whole point of living a happy life is by doing what we love and are excited about. Why don't we just do it and stop bothering about being GROWN UPS.

    • @followGreatness
      @followGreatness ปีที่แล้ว

      'Cooperate Smart". By sleeping with peoples husband and going as far as following them back to their home country.
      Thank God it's not me sha... Lol we need morally smart, Integrity smart, Spiritually smart.
      Life is not a game people's lives are not a game.
      Oku omo imi ni won a gbe lo Ile mama e in the abroad if my family unit is threatened for social climb.
      Or Cooprate smart.

    Any relationship that is constantly talking down at you, making you feel less of yourself should be forgotten, not all older guys have sense, some are so immature that their thinking is that of a child. Knowing when to call it quit is the wisdom we should pray to God for. I enjoyed the conversation too.

  • @Ngozin1
    @Ngozin1 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    I agree with Layefa. Kids are only attractive to me as part of a family/marriage. I dont want to be a single mom. Also dating as a single mom comes with its challenges as well. I think its selfish to the child but I get why some women go that route. Children will not solve your issues and will grow and live their own life but Nigerian culture puts too much pressure on women to be mothers. But then I see why some women think this way cause the way marriages break this day a child is more permanent than a spouse. I dont think intentional single motherhood aka single mom by choice(SMBC) should be normalized but to each his/her own. With that being said women who see marriage as prerequisite to children have to be prepared to be childless if it never happens or happens too late(past menopause).

    I agree with Kamsi and Layefa - when it comes to relationships, there’s definitely a thing as growing up too fast. For life generally, I agree with Layefa - there isn’t really a “growing up too fast” cause everything is relative to your own perspective and upbringing. What feels like too fast to you might be just right for another person. Loved this video ❤

    You grow older and realize that you should have spent more time appreciating all you had and lived.
    But, again, it's a human thing to always want to go for the next and the next and the next thing. We don't take time to learn and really "grow".

    I will honestly say that "growing up too fast" is surely a thing. In my experience, I lost my mum at an early stage of my life. I was raised by my Dad who never remarried and I had to wear a lot of hats of being an "assistant wife", (Running the affairs of the home) and being a "mum figure" and big sister to my baby sister as well. It hasn't been easy, I have had to figure out alot of things myself and also miss out on having fun sometimes but I am grateful to God for the strength to experience that. I think any first born child can totally relate to this. I enjoyed every bit of this video. You both inspire me in ways you can never imagine. Best wishes. ❤

    I agree with Layefa's view on relationships with older men. I remember when I was young, I think I was 19 then. I was dating this guy who was older than me not knowing I was actually being foolish. So some months afterwards, this guy texted me about how he needed 40k, his bank and all. I then linked him to a close friend of mine who lent him the 40k. Sis, the idiot vanished. Na me con dey find 40k pay person back. What a foolish person I was chai. 😭😂😂😂😂

    I really have a different opinion on paying alimony to their baby mama.
    The court grants child support based on the income of the father and as a man why don't you want to financially support the child you brought into the world?
    If a man is paying 25k a month then he's a very high earner.

    In terms of relationships I started dating really early. Early as in 12yr early but my first mature relationship was at 16.
    It actually has shaped my beliefs and life in general. I make better decisions now cause I got to experience things early and I’m glad that I was able to make mistakes then instead of now!
    At least now the mistakes are minimal cause of the experiences from before.
