There is a version with an alternate ending (Director's Cut), where Ash messes up counting the drops of the sleeping potion, and wakes up way later in a postapocalyptic wasteland instead of the the final S-Mart scene.
"Good? Bad? I'm the guy with the gun." is the best line in the entire series.
I prefer, "you're the king of two things, Jack and shit. and Jack left town.
I don't know if this is the Mandela effect cause I remember the line being "I ain't that good"
@@st33lze It's not the Mandela effect, there are two versions. He watched the theatrical version. The director's cut has the line you remember. You probably remember a different ending, too. He watched the version with the happy ending. The other ending was considered too bleak, and the studio changed it.

Fun Fact: S-Mart is a teal chain of grocery stores in Mexico.
Ted Raimi Cameos Fact: The cowardly warrior who doesn't want to die, the man who shouts "you can count on my steel" to Ash (Bruce Campbell), the swordsman with an eye-patch, and the S-Mart store clerk are all the same man.
Automobile Fact: During filming the Oldsmobile Delta 88 falling out of the sky was shot twice. During the first attempt, the 25-ton crane lifting the car failed due to mechanical problems and toppled over the edge of a cliff at the quarry location where filming was taking place. Fortunately, no injuries occurred because the crane operator jumped from the cab before the crane went over the edge. Days later a larger 80-ton crane was brought in to remove the damaged crane and re-shoot the car drop. In the final edit, elements of the re-shoot as well as footage from the end of Evil Dead II (1987) were used.

I've seen all of them, I will say my inner emo kid loves the unironically dark and "evil" tone of the new ones, but the bombastic ridiculous nature of the original three will always hold a special place in my heart

People who saw this first and then the original would be more stunned at A. how gory it is and B. Ash's less than bombastic attitude.

Some of the greatest lines you were "eh" on... Maybe you'lll like the director's cut where a few of the lines and the ending is different.
Also you're one of the few people who got the Mini-Ash sequence. And yeah, watch the TV show, it's the best of the lot... all the Ash from Army of Darkness and all the gore from Evil Dead 2.
And yeah, I saw the Evil Dead franchise in backwards order starting with Army of Darkness. I didn't know it was a sequel, so I was confused until I saw Evil Dead 2. Which I also love, but Army of Darkness is still my fav.

Evil Dead 2013 is one of the best made Remakes alongside with Dawn of the Dead and Dredd Remake. I personally also like The Crazies Remake which is way better than the 1974 original movie. If you want more comedy horror watch the Ash vs Evil Dead show cause the other two Evil Dead movies are more horror movies, but really well made. There's an unrated version of Evil Dead 2013 which is couple minutes longer.
