My mom had a phrase that she used all the time:. "The elegance of simplicity". What class! What a splendid magnificent beast of a car! In a sea of tacky pimped out bullshit, this is so beautifully understated it's like a breath of fresh air. It's a grownups car.
I lost one of these in Detroit about 66 when i was in viet nam. The storage let a police man in Farmington hills mich have/buy it. I wish i had my red 55 BelAir back. Let me know if you see it. :-)
These 150 Utility Sedans are cool because if you like tri-fives and lots of chrome & color then you can pick these up without the Bel Air tax and do it up the way you want.
My Dad took all the dash aluminum, radio, lighter and knob indicators off of a 4 dooer 55 that he bought for the 12volt stuff to change a 51 over to 12volt. He put the 4 doors dash parts on a plain jane 150's2door's dash for himself. I wish I'd took pictures, but in 66,I was 11 and we had no camera. The 51 that he converted to 12v, he left the 6 volt starter on,because it was worn out junk. It started good after that!
Dad has one, beautiful car, bought it off someone and it was a complete rust bucket, took my dad and gramps about 20 years to restore, although it’s not done yet, they still have to do a few repairs on it

I wouldn't have installed reverse lights just leave it a no option car.
All 55s came with the same tail lights but if you didn't order backups, there was no bulb or wiring behind the lens.

You could order this model with a V8 if you wanted it but most were 6s. Obviously this car's modified. First clue was the rear wheels and tires.

Whoa, what a surprise there at last. With no
chrome "V" emblems below the tail lights, I
expected a "hot water" six in there!!
I'm sure it came that way when new.
I like how somebody was hiding in the car the whole time to start it. Lol
Starting in 1956 they dressed up the 150’s a bit and they looked a lot better.
Don't see these too often.
Elijah Gosselin video to short whats the drive train stock color any options?
So it's a 150 till it shows it's teeth !
Can't beat a sleeper. Wow.
I bet the paint didn't look like that in 1955
Looks like one I worked on

A 1955 Chevrolet two-door is my absolute dream car, too bad i'll probably never be able to afford one

You can build one for like $2,000 usd
