Awesome video! Thank you so much!
All your videos are helpful. I wish I found your videos when I was studying all my other subjects 😔 Before this math I struggled with the SS test. I passed on the 3rd try. Your math videos are by far the best I have watched.

On 4:44, could 5+3n also be written like 3n+5? I know the 3n-2 cannot because it asks two less than. But in addition is different.

Great video, but I just wanna let you know, the key answer to problem number 2 on the website is wrong. it would've made sense if the statement is "twice the sum of a number and five.". Thank you for all that you do, all your explanations are easy to grasp.

Hey there, thank you! Yours is definitely a great way to phrase that! I see how people could interpret that both ways. I based that on one of the GED Ready practice questions, where quantity was used to multiply the whole obtained quantity by 2. But, I'll try to rephrase it to make it less ambiguous. Thanks again!

      Aha, I see it now!
“Twice the quantity of a number plus five” is: 2(n+5)
But, “The quantity of twice a number plus five” is: 2n+5
It depends where “quantity” shows up in the phrase. I hope that helps!
