    I think what is most exciting about this release isn't that we are getting cool new characters, but that they are listening to the community and providing products that the community really needs.

      Amen. That's why I'm putting my money where my mouth was during the HasLab campaign. I said there should've been a painted offering THEN. Renegade delivered, so they get my money NOW. Can't wait for GenCon!

      Terrain only expansions are the best thing they could have finally released. With so many other games using this terrain, it should be a good money maker for them.

    24 hex sand after 20 years of waiting is awesome, even if I don't have any feasible use for it! 😆
    Those 3 hex water tiles are a solid idea too, and I appreciate that the army expansions are available as *painted* versions as well. I was worried that only the master sets/battle boxes would have painted options, but now I can rest easy. ❤

    This is all incredible stuff! Catering to the community and bringing awesome stuff!
    However my only complaint is the Wave 2 figure pricing. Terrain and water are OK. I understand why the Wave 1 Battle Box was $45 / $65, as you get terrain, characters, cards, markers, etc. but now just 4 or 5 figures and their cards is being priced out the same? This is really the first time pricing seams too high.

      Just to clarify - I think the $20 difference between the 2 is a great value. I just can't see how Wave 2 figures ONLY are priced the same as the battle box.

    nice nice! cant wait! question, are there any plans to reprint older units down the road? in particular I think reprinting the older commons, maybe with new sculpts would be a great idea.

      I'm hoping they reprint older figures including some of the older exclusives!!

      @@gevdarg yeah me too. I want the diversity of all the older figures, but getting a hold of some of those is insane.

    70$ for all that terrain is a good deal.

    At long last, new Scape is almost here. I started collecting after the cancellation in 2010 and went through all the ups and downs of the Haslab. Though the Kyrie are a bit meh, the scuplts are cool, but most likely won't see much use, competitively (too much D20 dependance) though they will undoubtedly all be fun casually. Seems like a repeat of the Flagbearers, where only a couple will actually see much use; likely the Aquilla one and the one with Double attack.
    $45 for the unpainted gives me some sticker shock, but $65 for the painted seems reasonable.
    The Battle Network sounds basically like a duplicate of the existing Heroscape event website, which hosts an event schedule, map gallery and a VC/classic/delta inclusive army builder.

    Game content looks absolutely excellent, and I'm thrilled for the return of this system and universe. This presentation was a little odd; could've used any discussion of the characters beyond the most shallow reading of their rule cards, but I understand, this was more of a marketing video.
    Those prices are absolutely nuts. Everything but the water set is fully 3x fair pricing.

    That is WAY too expensive for only five figurines. 😥😥😥😥

      honestly, I would have to disagree with you. 20 dollars to paint a set of 5 figures is pretty good. im actually shocked they managed to get it that low.

      @@TheDisturbednerd 45 unpainted, 65 painted. so the paint job is the difference, which is 20. and 45 for 5 unpainted figures is not that bad in todays market.
      example, just picking a random malifoux box set around that price, I see we have 48 dollars for "between the lay lines: which includes 3 figures actually, 2 normal human sized models and 1 giant mech suit model. these are unpainted but also unassembled, so you have to do that part yourself.
      or we have "Dark reflections" 50 dollars for 3 hound sized models and 2 large sized models. unpainted and unassembled.
      or the "hush" box, 45 dollars for only 4 figures, all human sized, unassembled and unpainted.
      so 45 for 5 pre assembled, unpainted models is actually very reasonable.

    Little miffed at the price for 5 figures. They used to be $40 for a whole wave … 20 fully painted figs. Now it’s 45 for 5?? Unpainted. Sounds like GW pricing models. Looks like same mistakes are being made as last time. What killed it last time was overstock of the hero packs that were buy one and done. Each case came with 3 blister packs you could buy several of…(zombies) and one hero pack that you only needed one. Stores would not open a new case till the single buy ones were gone. So now we get what looks like 2 one and done packs that costs 4x more and is inferior to the original. I will still buy it because I am a collector but y’all need to rerelease older terrain sets. Lava and Ice were toys r us only and the last box with the giant wasp never left the warehouse. Let alone the new flag bearers for factions that need them.

    • @marcbennett9232
      @marcbennett9232 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      that is totally the reason early heroscape was seriously hamstrung. hasbro (then or now) doesnt understand the gaming community. but there is nothing to indicate that is happening here. so far everything is a unique. we will have to wait and see what happens when the common sets are released.

    • @KiDmO365
      @KiDmO365 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@marcbennett9232 look at what is already announced. I have yet to see a non unique squad. Master sets or expansions. Have they even said common squads are coming… let alone rereleases of older waves. I know I missed a handful let alone the ones that were in production/ exclusive to stores. They have a lot they could lean into.

    • @marcbennett9232
      @marcbennett9232 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@KiDmO365 yes they have announced that commons are coming. They have not said they will rerelease older figures, but I hope they do. And yes everything is unique so far. But the problem was never that there were a lot of uniques. The problem was uniques and commons were packaged in the same case. Not the same retail box, the same case for distributors. Hasbro never understood that customers would want so many commons and only one unique pack. They just sold them like a collectable toy. Renegade knows better.
      To avoid the same mistake all they need to do is package commons in a different distribution case. But we don't even have to worry about that until commons are released.

    • @KiDmO365
      @KiDmO365 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@marcbennett9232 let’s do a little thought experiment here… is it better to have figures you can buy and use multiple of….. or a figure you only need one of. For a collection it’s great to only need one. But if they want to use sales as a driver to fund more for this game we will need multiple buy items that are worth it. Hasbro understood people would want multiple commons hence why they made them. The problem was the logistics on how cases were set up. Cases should have been 4 of the same pack not four different packs per case. Cause my local Walmart had a massive section for HS the problem it was filled with the forest bridge sets and unique packs .
