Dude; this might even be cheaper depending on where you're at. I've seen totes for $40 each around here in Central Florida. Those boards don't have to be symmetrical either.

Soo, I don't have this problem yet, but my nerf storage barely works, and fits everything, and my 2 remaining brain cells screwed up and filled my Xmas list with nerf, and this video will come in handy in about a month

Hey John! It’s very much possible! You just want to make sure you’ll be able to secure it to the wall! Your shed should have “studs” inside, which are the vertical wood pieces, which you could line the pegboard up with and mount it that way! Hope this helps!
Oh, so sorry! Lol I totally forgot to mention that, if you buy it from a hardware store you can usually get the pegs on the same isle, but I'll have you the best priced Amazon link by the end of the day!

The way the panels are, you align the screw holes to a stud, and then screw it in at 16” intervals - hope this helps!
