i have a single fruit on my 3 year old Ichi-Ki-Kei-Jiro Asian Persimmon Tree starting to turn color ive never seen or tasted a fresh persimmon in NE Ohio so im excited and hope it stays on till ripe
If I'm not mistaken, Ichi Ki Kei is a slower grower. Some varieties like Isu are slow because they produce so much fruit when young (precocity) that it slows the growth. Others like Saijo are just slow, both to grow and to fruit. I have even experienced Fuyu taking its time coming into bearing. Protect that single fruit!!
